Typed by: Alicia Marie Goff.*Situation: Accident*Date of Accident: Oct **, ****.*Date typed: ***********I left the University of Central Florida roughly around *:**pm on Friday October **th, ****. I was going into work due to Universities direct deposit failure. I messaged my boss before I left the schools garage C parking at *:** pm. My destination was to cash my check at Bank of America located on ***** Research Pkwy, Orlando, FL ***** which is an eight minute drive from University of Central Florida. I was no more than a half mile to my destination before the accident.*The accident was around *:**pm on North Alafaya trail. Between the two interactions University Blvd and Central florida Blvd. Jordan Marie Woods, car was tapped by mine on the left side of the road. I had full focus on the road and saw Jordan break to an immediate stop due to what I believe was her texting and driving. My car skid, I had time to look both ways to figure out the best solution to this situation, also indicating that I had plenty of space between the both of us. Looking into my mirrors I noticed traffic coming to my right, to my left was a road margin with incoming traffic on the other side. I made the decision to stay in the lane I was in.*We stopped and we responsibly turned on our hazard lights on to allow our fellow drives to know there was an accident. We came out of the cars. Right away I said, “ sorry about that, you stopped hard and my car slid, are you okay.” she said she was fine. I then asked “I tapped you so what would you like to do?” she said her mom was the one who paid the insurance and that she had to call her. I said “okay, I will also call my mom then.” I explained to my mom what happened outside of the car. Jordan proceeded to stay in her car while talking to her mother. She then came out of the car with her insurance card and called the police. They told us to wait.*We stayed on the left hand side for roughly ** minutes before deciding to go to the closest place to park which was at a subway parking lot. While we were waiting for police to arrive she called her insurance company and her mother again. After ** minutes have passed, she came to me and told me that the officer will be a while because we are in orange county and we got transferred also because there were ** other accidents before ours During that time she also told me she called for a medic because her back was hurting. She neglected to inform me about any injuries until after talking to her mother and the insurance company. So also waited till she was back on the phone with her mother while she told me about her back.*The ambulance and fire company came and looked around for the “Damage.” The medic asked if we were okay and asked if anyone needed to be rushed to the hospital. I said I was okay and Jordan said she did not want to go to the hospital but she will take the vital signs checkup from the medic. The medic said that she was cleared and she did stayed and waited with me. (Keep in mind she is a nursing student at Valencia College East campus and she studied nursing in high school). The fire company took our information and saw I was upset. He told me that accidents happen all the time and that the other driver, is being very a bit much with the whole pursigure. The fire company left as well as the ambulance. No questions on florida license and insurance from another state because many students do the same thing according to the firemen.*We waited till after three for the state trooper, Juber, Kate E from Orange County to arrive. She stepped out of the car, did not ask if anyone was okay, she asked were the “damage” was. Jordan showed her the “damage” on the car and the trooper stared for a bit to find what Jordan was talking about. When they started to exchanged information I politely went back to my car so they had privacy and I patiently waited my turn to talk to trooper Juber. Trooper Juber came over and asked for my information and asked me three questions. Those questions were “are you a student here?” I said “yes ma’am.” then she asked “was there traffic?” I said “yes ma’am.” Finally she asked “was it raining?” I said “no ma’am.” although shortly after the accident it was drizzling and was a very humid day. The Trooper Juber took our information and went in her car. When she came back out of her car she started to walk up to me and gave my citation and called Jordan over as well. At this point I was disappointed in the fact that trooper Juber did not acknowledge the fact that there were two sides of the story and that I respectfully gave Jordan and her the priracy to talk with one another. I was expecting trooper Juber so come and ask me my side of the story and look at my car for any “damage” on mine too. I did not ask to talk with trooper Juber because I was trying to be respectful to her as well as Jordan. Also I did not know Jordan intentions and I did not want them to change or enlarge if I asked to talk to trooper Juber in private. I believe that trooper Juber was nice and professional but I believe that she could have handled the situation better by listening to both stories before writing a citation right away, especially with two young ladies that have never been in an accident before. I was compliant and patient through the entire process, although I believe it was blown a bit out of proportion and the fact that the trooper choose not to talk to me about the accident. I do not understand why, maybe because I have a New Jersey license plate or maybe I was too compliant. I know the troopers are very busy and there are much bigger manners but I believe that I should have had a say in the matter. **This road is not new to me, I was aware of my surroundings and I take that road every day to West campus Valencia for my architecture classes.**I can provide photos of the two vehicles as well. **Thank you for your time.
