I signed up with Fingerhut with the intention to build my credit...**A few months back, I ordered a Nintendo Switch. Once I received the item, I noticed it was broken so I sent it back. FIngerhut then charges me for return shipping although this was not a fault of ours. Fast forward a few months, I was charged a late fee that I was un aware of. This late fee was for the return shipping that was out of my control. My wife and I are in the process of trying to purchase a home so we contacted Customer Service numerous times to try and get a letter or statement, stating that we have had a * balance since day one. Every time we have called, we were told that we would receive a letter in the mail as well as a fax within a few days. *The ONLY thing holding us back from getting a loan is Fingerhuts negative hit on my credit. While we are waiting for this letter, our loan specialist tells us that we have only ** days before our credit gets hit again.*Now, my issue is that I was told this information would be sent over but it has yet to be on top of the fact that this issue was not because of me. We want so badly to use our Fingerhut card but the lack of communication between employees is awful. *THIS needs to be adressed as I cant afford another hard hit on my credit
