I cannot get information from the Mortgage Department about why my property insurance has not been paid from escrow. It is due in five days and will be canceled if not paid. I called their dedicated Escrow Number but it was not a dedicated number. I waited on hold for an extended length of time until the customer service representative gave me the same information that I could get when looking at my account online.*The representative said that I would have to call their insurance department to see if it had been paid.*I am now on hold on that line for the past ** minutes! What is up with that?*The on hold system keeps interrupting the call and says they would schedule a call back call if I press ** on the phone, but the system said that they could not schedule a call back at this time. ???*I finally talked to the insurance servicer representative. I told her my policy was due to be paid in * days or be canceled. She said it HAD NOT been paid and that she would request from ST JOHN INSURANCE an expedited address to make payment.*She told me that they are a NEW servicer as of two weeks ago and they are running behind in their payments.*If I had not noticed on my online statement that my insurance had not been paid it would have been canceled because of Fifth Thirds negligence in this matter.*We have suffered the effects of a hurricane in this area of the panhandle of Florida and are very aware of any insurance issues. *Fifth Third has a statement on their web site when you log in that they are trying to help. I cannot imagine customer service being any worse than this. Please respond with your explaination. Thank you, James Anderson
