I was accused of stealing by the manager and felt harassed during checkout. The manager kept insisting I had taken a "connector piece" from the store, but I only purchased bleach and toilet paper. She wouldn't listen and eventually asked me to leave. I returned to ask to see the security footage, but she refused and banned me from the store. When I questioned her further, she threatened to call the police. Despite trying to reason with her, she was dismissive and refused to engage. Her behavior was unprofessional and left me feeling frustrated and unjustly treated.

I had a concerning encounter at the Family Dollar store located at [redacted] Pike Ave, North Little Rock, Arkansas [redacted], Store #74. The store manager's behavior was unacceptable as she physically pushed me out of the store, causing me to fall and damage my Apple 11 phone. The situation escalated when she attempted to run me over with her car as I tried to avoid her, resulting in a severe ankle sprain. To make matters worse, the assistant manager also acted inappropriately by demanding my purse while I was in pain and distress. This incident has greatly impacted me, especially considering my existing health condition with a brain tumor. Despite reaching out multiple times with no response, I am seeking urgent assistance from the corporate office to address this disturbing incident. I have already sought legal advice and request immediate attention to this matter.

On July 3, [redacted], I was involved in a troubling incident at Family Dollar store #79. Upon entering the store with my daughters, we were greeted by a friendly employee. Suddenly, the store manager physically assaulted me, pushing me out and causing me to fall. The situation escalated when she attempted to run me over with her car before fleeing the scene. The assistant manager, instead of showing concern for my well-being, focused on my purse. The police arrived, and despite my health conditions including a brain tumor, I was mistreated and banned from the store. This traumatic event has left me with severe pain, migraines, and emotional distress. I have sought legal advice and attempted to contact the corporate office for assistance regarding insurance responsibility. My priority is to address the physical and emotional impact of this unacceptable incident.

I used to work at Family Dollar in Parma, Idaho as a third ASM. Store manager Shirley Hensley urgently asked me to join as her third ASM, so I left my higher-paying job with guaranteed hours. Just three months later, she demoted me under the pretense of COVID-19, reducing my pay by $3 and cutting my hours to 10 weekly. Despite claiming all stores were doing this, other stores in the area were unaware. I later discovered she demoted me to hire her favorite ASM's friend. When I called in advance to report an absence, it was mishandled, leading to my dismissal. Shirley even reported to unemployment that I quit, resulting in my denial for benefits. I have text evidence to prove I never resigned, and I either want my job back or my unemployment benefits.

I had a very unpleasant experience at the Family Dollar store on Heiskell Ave. in Knoxville, Tennessee, with the manager named Nellie. Around late last year, she wrongly accused me of stealing, leading to three court appearances and a lot of unnecessary trouble. Eventually, the charges were dropped, but I still feel humiliated by the way she treated me in front of other customers. Despite being a long-time loyal customer with a clean record, I was forced to leave the store due to her unfair accusations and behavior. I aim to file a formal complaint and escalate this issue to her supervisor as I believe I was unjustly targeted. I would appreciate it if someone could reach out to me to address this matter properly. Thank you.

I recently visited the Family Dollar store on Main Street in Willimantic, Connecticut, and experienced ongoing issues with rude staff members and cluttered aisles. I have requested the corporate number and asked to speak with the manager multiple times to address these concerns. Today, I encountered a problem with items misplaced, and the assistant manager, Tyler, was disrespectful and unhelpful. Communication was challenging as they primarily spoke Spanish, making it difficult to understand their responses. Tyler accused me of being rude, adding to the disrespectful environment I frequently encounter at this store. On a previous visit, I found expired Wonder bread, but the manager failed to address the issue appropriately. There is a clear need for better customer service and communication skills, including having staff who can effectively communicate in English.

I am experiencing an issue with adding money to my PayPal card. I gave $40 cash to the attendant with specific instructions on how to split it between adding $20 to my card and keeping $20 for the fee. I had to request a receipt, which I eventually received stating "Vanilla Reload" and then "Aborted." Unfortunately, the money has not shown up in my account yet. I kindly request one of two resolutions: 1) add the money to my PayPal account as intended, or 2) provide a full refund. The individual assisting me, who identified as the Assistant Manager, appeared unfamiliar with the electronic transaction process. I expect prompt resolution of this matter and an apology, considering the funds were meant for my son's purchase. I am disappointed by this situation and expect better service for the hard-earned money I entrusted.

I visited the Family Dollar store at [redacted] North Main in Pocatello, Idaho today around 5 pm. I had items for pick up and when I was at the register ready to pay, the prices were incorrect according to the signage. The cashier called the manager, a dark-haired lady whom I don't know the name of, and she was extremely rude. She mentioned that the prices were from last night and because she was alone, she didn't have a chance to update them. She insisted I should pay the current prices, but I refused. She told me to leave and never come back. I won't be returning to this store and I feel compelled to inform everyone about the awful treatment I received. The managers should be ashamed of hiring such rude individuals. I will be avoiding Family Dollar from now on and spreading the word about my experience to others.

I'm inquiring about the specific mask requirements at Family Dollar in my state. Following my recent visit, the cashier insisted on a mask, which I declined, questioning the need as I intended to make a purchase regardless. Checking their website, it appears that while they "request" customers to wear masks, it is "mandated" only if required by the city. I reside in Georgia where no such mandate exists in my city, county, or state. Customer service was unable to clarify the mask policy enforcement. Unlike Walmart, who still accepts purchases without masks, I could not find a similar statement for Family Dollar. I plan to discuss this with the manager tomorrow and will share any updates. Thank you.

During my recent visit to your Family Dollar store in Las Animas, Colorado, I had an upsetting encounter with one of your employees, Kim. She accused me of stealing, claiming that I had set off the alarm a month ago while leaving the store. However, I was never there a month ago, and when I returned the cart on a previous visit, nothing was said. Kim insisted that I should have stopped when the alarm went off to let her check my belongings, but the alarm never sounded during my recent exit as I did not take anything. This accusation embarrassed me in front of my family and other customers. As a new resident in the area, this experience has made me hesitant to return to your store. I hope that such misunderstandings can be avoided in the future, as it reflects poorly on your establishment. Thank you for addressing this matter. S.R.

I am the Power of Attorney for my mentally disabled brother. Yesterday, on September 28, he went to Family Dollar Store #[redacted] at 49 S Main St, Memphis, TN. He bought 4 (30 gallon) storage totes, but they did not come with lids, which he didn't realize at the time. I have tried reaching out to the store as well as two other local stores, but the calls are not going through. I have also contacted two customer service numbers without success. I am trying to figure out if I can pick up the lids on his behalf. Do I need to go to the store where the purchase was made? He cannot get there by himself. I have the receipts and am hoping to rectify this mistake the store made. The staff should have informed him that lids were included with the product. I appreciate any assistance you can offer. Thank you.

I recently discovered a voicemail from your team concerning the poor treatment I received from an employee at store [redacted]. I hope to resolve this issue promptly to feel at ease visiting the store again, especially since it's my only local option as there are no other nearby stores. I rely on this store for necessities, and my grandmother accompanies me due to the disrespectful treatment I face. Despite being falsely accused, I strive to be a kind and law-abiding customer. The degrading behavior from the supervisor has made me feel like a criminal. I have experienced humiliation and unfair treatment when compared to other customers. My goal is to address this matter quickly to feel comfortable shopping at the store again without fear of being mistreated. The few employees who show me respect stand out among the others influenced by the supervisor's negative behavior. I have attempted to address this situation with other employees, but they seem apprehensive to discuss it. It's important for me to understand the reason behind this mistreatment to prevent feeling dehumanized during my visits.

I have been trying to contact customer service for several days now, enduring long wait times of almost an hour each time. I was given the name Matthew Bowes/Bowles with the number [redacted], but after being on hold for 53 minutes and 44 seconds today, I still haven't been able to reach anyone. Despite leaving a message last week, I haven't received a response. My complaint is regarding Klondike bars ice cream that I purchased at the beginning of October. The bars tasted terrible, the packaging was wrinkled, and I discovered they had expired in April [redacted]. When I tried to return them to the store with my receipt, I was informed that they do not refund food items. I paid $4.50 for expired products, and the store refused to provide a refund or store credit. I have the receipt dated October 1, [redacted], from store #[redacted] located at [redacted] Miramar Parkway, Miramar, FL [redacted]. Thank you for your assistance.

I worked at Dollar Tree about four years ago. I had an interview at Family Dollar recently, and they want to hire me, but I need to become eligible for rehiring. The person who put me on that list, a woman I've never met, is said to be Mexican. When I worked at Dollar Tree, our manager was a black man named Tim. He was the last manager I had, and he is assisting me with this situation. I can provide proof that he was my manager during my time at Dollar Tree.

I frequently shop at Family Dollar in Bastrop, Louisiana. Lately, I have noticed that the products "Mean Green" and "Wyler's Pink Lemonade" have been unavailable. Although I can find "Wyler's Pink Lemonade" at Dollar Tree, I prefer to purchase it at Family Dollar. Please ensure that "Wyler's Pink Lemonade" is stocked at the Family Dollar stores in Bastrop, Louisiana. Another item I have been unable to find for months is the cleaning product "Mean Green." I was informed that the reason for its absence is the unavailability of pump sprayers for the bottles. I understand that this may be due to the ongoing pandemic, but I suggest offering "Mean Green" in gallon jugs as an alternative. Please make sure that Family Dollar stores in Bastrop, Louisiana have "Mean Green" in stock. Thank you for your attention to these matters. Sincerely, Marion D.

Tonight is October 28, [redacted], and I visited my local Family Dollar store in Gruetli Lager, TN. This store is where I usually use my mobile coupons. I had clipped several coupons and set up my account, making it easy to just enter my number at the register. However, tonight I had an issue with the cashier. Out of the 5 coupons I had clipped, she only accepted one. I had 4 different Gain products with a final price of $1.95 each, but I only received credit for one. Additionally, I had a $5 off coupon that she didn't apply either. I had to enter my number at the start, and she asked me to re-enter it after scanning everything, claiming she couldn't locate me. She only found it after scanning everything. As a result, I overpaid and had 4 unused coupons. This experience left me very upset. Please advise on how to rectify this. Thank you, Miranda G.

Today, on 11-1-20, at 3:10 pm, I made several purchases at the Family Dollar located at [redacted] S. West St, Wichita, Kansas. During my visit, I had a concerning encounter with a female employee who was not my cashier. She loudly yelled at me, expressing that I should not purchase a specific phone case as it was non-refundable. Despite my decision to proceed with the purchase, she reacted quite irrationally, demanding me to leave and never return. Her behavior was erratic and disturbed me deeply. The whole store witnessed her outburst. As a disabled 67-year-old widow, I felt extremely vulnerable and even contemplated involving law enforcement. Her attempt to grab my purchased items only added to my distress. I urge the management to address this issue promptly before she causes harm to others.

As an assistant manager at Family Dollar in Schenectady, NY, Store [redacted], I have repeatedly tried to address my concerns regarding my pay and benefits. Despite working full time, I have not received a pay raise, and I am confused as to why I am being demoted to a cashier without a clear explanation. I currently earn $11.80 an hour and was told that a pay raise is a privilege, even though other employees at my store have received one. Melonie mentioned she would look into the situation, but I have yet to receive any updates. I have also contacted Human Resources, but have not received a response. As I work full-time hours as a part-time manager, I am seeking clarification on why this sudden change is happening after 8 months of employment. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter further with someone.

I recently tried to return two items to the store but was denied a refund. One item was a box of crackers that were stale and not fresh. Even though I explained that we had opened them to try and they were not good, the manager refused the return because the box was open. The other item was a hand sanitizer that was placed in a sale basket but was actually full price. When I pointed this out to the manager, she was rude and unprofessional, insinuating that we had tampered with the product. This experience was very disappointing, especially considering how much I regularly spend at this store. It's disheartening to see hardworking Americans being mistreated over such small amounts of money, especially during these tough times. The way we were treated, with the manager suggesting we tampered with the items, was unacceptable. I will not be shopping at this store anymore after this experience.

I have experienced multiple instances where my manager has displayed inappropriate behavior towards me in the workplace. He has made advances towards me when his wife was away, even going so far as to bring me Valentine's dinner in a secluded area of the store. He has kissed me in front of others and even chased after me when I was genuinely ill and unable to work due to my disability. Most recently, he unfairly gave me a week off as a form of punishment for being sick, despite having a valid doctor's note. His unprofessional conduct has also extended to berating me in front of colleagues, yelling at me on the phone, and making derogatory remarks about my health and work ethic. This treatment is unacceptable, and it has caused me a great deal of distress. I love my job and my coworkers, but I cannot continue to work under these conditions. I am a single mother trying to support my family, and I deserve to be treated with respect in the workplace.
