I recently started working at Family Dollar in Ferriday, Louisiana #[redacted]. On October 17th, I didn't receive an employee number to clock in until after I had already worked for 8 hours from 6 am to 2 pm, essentially working off the clock. Later that day, the store manager, Mary, asked me to come back to work at 5 pm until closing at 10 pm. When I returned, she asked me to work at the front register without providing much instruction, leaving me feeling uncomfortable. The register was cluttered and malfunctioning, and I was unsure how to handle certain tasks like handling large bills or reload cards. I also have not been paid yet even though I set up direct deposit. I felt overwhelmed and undertrained, which led me to quit the same day. I would appreciate it if someone could follow up with Mary regarding my pay. Thank you, Mable.

I am an avid shopper at your Family Dollar Store. During my visit to store #[redacted] at [redacted] N. Buckner Blvd, Dallas, TX on October 31, [redacted], I aimed to avail the $5 off coupon for a purchase of $25 or more. Despite ensuring all necessary smart coupons were clipped to my account, the system failed to apply the $5 discount to my $27.90 purchase. After checking my receipt, I noticed the error and sought assistance from the staff. Manager Brenda's response was unhelpful and accusatory, despite my efforts to show the clipped coupon. I attempted to contact customer service from the store to no avail. Despite multiple visits and interactions with staff, my issue remains unresolved. I kindly request assistance in obtaining the refund owed to me for the failed coupon deduction. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time, Benita Wilson

On the 3rd of November [redacted], there was only one person at the Dollar Tree on South Belt in Saint Joseph, MO. From what I could observe, this individual seemed rude to a few customers. Additionally, people were going in and out of the office while she was serving customers. I believe she mentioned that it was her family there to assist, but if they are not Dollar Tree staff, why were they there? It is usually against policy to have only one staff member in a store. Why didn't the store manager call someone to close the store, as no other staff members were available to help cover the hours? Shouldn't the manager have made the call since she had no help? This situation seems to go against company policy. It appears unfair as any other staff member would likely have faced consequences. Some form of action should be taken, whether it be a write-up, suspension, or another appropriate measure.

Dear Family Dollar Corporation, I have encountered ongoing issues with customer service at your store located at [redacted] Scott St. in Houston, TX. Specifically, I have consistently received poor treatment from one of your store managers, Mrs. Tiara Stokes. Each interaction with her leaves me feeling like an inconvenience, as she demonstrates a clear disinterest in assisting me. I am writing to bring this matter to your attention and urge you to address Mrs. Stokes's attitude promptly. As a loyal customer, I expect better service and do not wish to continue feeling unwelcome in your store. It is important to remind Mrs. Stokes that as a leader within the company, professionalism should be a top priority. Sincerely, Brianna Jones Contact information: [redacted] / Phone Number: [redacted]

I am currently facing challenges with my District Manager who has been harassing me persistently. Despite maintaining high sales and reducing shrinkage in my store, she continues to criticize and mistreat me and my team, labeling us as the worst store she has seen. She recently made questionable management decisions, like hiring her husband's God Son's father as an Assistant Store Manager, paying him more than other more experienced ASMs. She also failed to support my request for a full-time position for my PTASM but gave full-time status to a new ASM with limited availability. Her lack of fairness and respect is demoralizing, and I feel our jobs are constantly threatened. It's disheartening to be told I won't pass a visit regardless of my hard work and dedication. I urge for a discussion involving the Store Manager to address these ongoing issues professionally and fairly. The incident of being publicly humiliated during a call further highlights the disrespect I face. I seek a resolution to this situation and hope for a thorough investigation. Thank you for understanding.

I am writing to express my frustration with the recent termination I experienced following false allegations of forgery during a lottery drawing event at the Neely Rd. store in Memphis, TN. The accusation is completely baseless as the cameras were not reviewed, and the drawing occurred behind the counter. The prizes given out, such as a car wash bucket and washing powder basket, do not align with the importance of the alleged forgery. Moreover, the decision to terminate me seems linked to my husband's refusal to assist with transporting store items, despite him not being an employee. The new district manager, Lawanda Ratchford, seemed to have personal motives for letting me go. Unfortunately, I faced further discomfort when she inappropriately suggested a threesome with my husband. This adds to the previous incidents of harassment by former district manager Robert Dial, which I reported to HR. However, the unprofessional response from Teresa Tate was disappointing, leaving me feeling unsupported. The unfair treatment, lack of recognition for our hard work, and inappropriate behavior in the workplace have created a hostile environment, leading me to believe this is discrimination.

I am an independent contractor working for Easy Shift, a marketing research company under Quri. My role involves photographing specific products and displays for marketing research. I am seeking authorization to photograph items at 25 locations between Florida and Georgia for our research purposes. I have visited two locations where they allowed it pending approval from higher management. The photos taken do not include individuals, only products and displays. Your prompt response is crucial as this work is my primary source of income. Thank you for your consideration.

I am experiencing discomfort at the Family Dollar located at [redacted] Citrus Ave in Fontana, CA [redacted] due to an employee's behavior. On 11/8/[redacted] around 9:30 am, I encountered a female employee who made me feel uneasy by constantly staring at me. This conduct is unacceptable, especially when I was just there to request boxes as a regular customer. Observing her behavior towards African Americans in particular is concerning and could lead to legal ramifications. If this issue is not addressed promptly, I will have to involve a lawyer as I do not feel safe visiting this store while she is still employed there. This ongoing situation has made me decide to avoid this location in the future.

I have been a loyal Family Dollar customer for years. During my recent visit to the Family Dollar store located at [redacted] East Fayette St. in Baltimore, I noticed a sign advertising pot pies for one dollar in the freezer section. However, there were two different types of pot pies with only one sign. To confirm, I asked a store representative if both types were included in the sale, and he confirmed they were. Upon reaching the cashier, I was informed that the pot pies were not on sale, causing confusion and embarrassment as the cashier raised her voice and accused me of not knowing the prices. Despite seeking clarification, the situation escalated, and I was treated disrespectfully in front of other customers. Feeling shaken by this experience, I decided to remove the pot pies from my purchase and complete my transaction at another register. This incident has left me disheartened as Family Dollar has been my go-to store for over twenty years due to its affordability. I hope a representative can reach out to me to address this issue so I can continue to shop at Family Dollar with confidence. Thank you.

I often visit your store located at number [redacted] on 6th Street in Reading, PA. I must say, the condition of the store is quite poor. It appears to be very unclean, with empty and dirty freezers. Although the manager is fantastic and always helpful, the cashiers are quite rude and handle items roughly. I am hesitant to bring my granddaughter in with me because of safety concerns such as items on the floor and the cashiers distracted by their phones. Many of my family members also shop at this location, and we all wish for the store to improve. We truly appreciate your store and hope that the issues mentioned can be addressed promptly. Thank you for your attention to this matter. -Ms. B

On Friday night, I visited Family Dollar store #[redacted] and spent $77.01. I entered my phone number to use my coupons. Upon reviewing my receipt at home, I realized the coupons didn't apply. Yesterday, I spoke with Assistant Manager Roseanna, who worked and cashiered for me the previous night. She remembered me and acknowledged I had entered my phone number. She mentioned she needed to consult Store Manager Ms. Beth to rectify the situation and asked me to return the next morning to meet with Ms. Beth. Following this, she referred me to contact you as she couldn't assist further. I have my receipt and am confused why she couldn't resolve it as these are coupons from Family Dollar's website. Another customer also experienced coupon issues. Kindly call me back at your convenience. Thank you.

I am feeling discriminated against and bullied by my assistant store manager and store manager. Despite asking for more hours, I never receive enough. I was written up for the first time when my register came up short, and it escalated to a final warning. It seems unfair to be on a final warning for just one write-up. The store manager unfairly directs her anger at me in front of customers, showing unprofessional behavior. My assistant store manager gave me an unreasonable task of handling 70 boxes on a U-boat all by myself while I had to attend to customers. When I explained it would be difficult to complete, he ignored me and pushed the task anyway. Additionally, when I switched shifts to visit my mother in the hospital, he made insensitive comments about my priorities. I feel like I am being targeted unfairly in these situations.

I recently experienced a troubling incident at store # [redacted] involving defamation of character and slander concerning old currency. I received payment in [redacted] currency for services rendered and attempted to use it at a local family dollar. Despite passing fraud tests, the associate refused my money, implying it might be counterfeit without proof. Later, she spoke to another associate falsely accusing me of passing counterfeit currency to authorities. This triggered a defamation of character issue leading to unnecessary distress for me. The associate's actions were unacceptable. I plan to resolve this by involving the homeowner who paid me and the authorities, while seeking appropriate action against the involved associates. I expect a formal email follow-up outlining the steps you will take to address this situation. Thank you for your attention, and I anticipate your prompt response. Kind regards, AJ Ingram

For over a month, I've been purchasing bottles of wine that are advertised at $6.50 plus tax. However, each time I reach the cashier, they insist on charging me $7.50 plus tax. Despite discussing this issue with both the manager and various employees multiple times, they continue to refuse to honor the advertised price. On one occasion, the manager performed an override, but the problem persists. I feel frustrated because paying an extra dollar per bottle adds up over time. I have not received any satisfactory responses. I suggested simply removing the incorrect price tag to avoid confusion, but instead, I face challenges such as being consistently carded despite being 50 years old. Additionally, the store's overcrowding, overflowing trash cans, and long lines showcase poor management.

I recently visited the Family Dollar on Spring Road in Carlisle, Pennsylvania with a $5 off coupon for purchases over $25. When I tried to use the coupon after my items were rung up, the manager refused to apply it, claiming it needed to be used before the transaction was completed. Despite explaining that I typically pay part of the total with my access card before applying the coupon and paying the rest with my card, she was unhelpful and rude. This experience left me feeling frustrated as she insisted on re-scanning all items to apply the coupon, resulting in me paying the full amount without the discount. The manager's unprofessionalism, store conditions, and attitude were unacceptable. Even other customers were puzzled by her refusal to take the coupon. I have never faced this issue with other employees who have always accepted coupons from my phone. I want the $5 discount I am entitled to and believe the manager should be demoted. This ongoing mistreatment has soured my frequent shopping experience at the store. I am keen on receiving a prompt response to address this recurring problem.

Hello, my name is Keesha Reeves. I recently resigned from Family Dollar Store #[redacted] due to conflicts with the store manager. There were issues of favoritism towards his friends, unfair distribution of hours, and concerns about missing paperwork. I am requesting a separation letter promptly as I prefer not to interact with the manager again. I had faced delays previously when requesting such a document from him. I have tried to have it emailed to me without success. I need this letter urgently for government housing purposes. Thank you for your assistance.

I used to work at Family Dollar in Fort Worth, TX, on Mansfield Highway. Unfortunately, I was fired by manager Kimberly for insubordination. My troubles started when another manager, Crystal, left due to rumors spread by Kimberly. A new manager, Antonio, replaced Crystal, and that's when things became difficult. I was training Antonio during our night shifts, but he behaved inappropriately, making sexual comments that made me uncomfortable. When I reported this to General Manager Kimberly, she brushed it off, saying to give him a chance. The situation worsened as Antonio started disrespecting me and giving contradictory tasks. On top of this, I suspect Kimberly of inappropriate behavior, like selling drugs to employees, including minors, and other misconduct among the management team. It's a troubling situation that I felt needed to be addressed.

During my recent visit to the store, I witnessed an unfortunate incident where the cashier, Mary, was publicly reprimanded by the manager, Dylan, for something that wasn't her fault. She was eventually left feeling so upset that she decided to hand in her badge. On top of this, I overheard the general manager, Kelly, saying disparaging things about another manager, Tony, which is completely unacceptable behavior in a professional setting. It's disheartening to see two good employees leave the store within days of each other due to mistreatment. The toxic environment and disrespectful attitude displayed towards the employees at this store is unacceptable. I won't be returning to this store unless Mary and Tony are reinstated, as I feel they were wronged.
