I visited store #[redacted] at [redacted] Davie Boulevard, Ft. Lauderdale, FL [redacted], and purchased a [redacted] oz Xtra laundry detergent with a $1.00 coupon on the container. At the register, the male cashier attempted to apply the coupon but was unsuccessful. Despite being unable to resolve the issue after two attempts, he claimed to be the manager and did not take any further action. As the line grew longer with 5 customers waiting, he did not try to find a solution or seek assistance. Additionally, he had a personal conversation in Creole on his cell phone while checking out customers, displaying a lack of focus. The experience left me disappointed, as I have been a customer at this store for 13 years. The lack of proficient English-speaking employees and unprofessional behavior have led me to reconsider shopping at any Family Dollar stores in the future. I simply wanted the $1.00 discount as stated on the coupon, expecting a higher level of professionalism from the staff.

Hello, my name is Tarus R., a fellow employee of Family Dollar. I recently applied for a position at Dollar Tree and was hired last Thursday. However, due to a past issue at the Rolling Road location in Baltimore, MD over 10 years ago, I was unable to start working. Despite explaining the situation to the Human Resources department, I was told I was cleared for re-hire. The manager at Catonsville Dollar Tree couldn't proceed with my hiring due to this issue and suggested I contact Family Dollar to resolve it. I would appreciate it if someone could email me to help resolve this matter so I can continue with the employment process at Dollar Tree. Thank you.

I tried returning a hair buzzer I purchased 5 days ago, only to be informed about a 24-hour return policy for electronic devices by the staff. This was contrary to my experience at a different Family Dollar, where I successfully returned electronic items after weeks. I stood my ground, asserting that within 30 days, the return should be accepted. Despite my protest, they suggested the buzzer wasn't faulty, giving the impression that they were reluctant to issue a refund. The customer service at this particular Family Dollar was lacking, and the manager seemed uninterested in customer satisfaction. I hope to resolve this issue and return the product as per standard store policies.

I am writing to share my disappointing experience at store #[redacted] located at [redacted] Michoud Blvd. Earlier today, I purchased what I thought were glue-free nails priced at $2 and $3. However, at the checkout, they were rung up as $5. When I pointed out the discrepancy to the cashier, she called the manager over, who was quite rude and questioned where I found the item, insinuating I was trying to get a discount. I showed her the rack with the $3 price tags, and after a bit of back and forth, I agreed to take the nails at the listed price. Upon getting home, I realized I had been given a different type of nails that required glue. When I called the store multiple times without an answer, I returned later to speak to the manager, but she had left for the day. The assistant manager promised a refund to my debit card, blaming the mistake on new staff. I was disappointed in the lack of customer service and responsibility taken by the management. I will no longer support this store and will share my experience with others. I believe there should be better hiring practices in place to avoid such errors in the future. I would appreciate a call back to address this issue promptly.

Name and Address: FAMILY DOLLAR #3[redacted] Culebra Rd Ste [redacted] San Antonio, TX 78[redacted] [redacted] Additional Comment: On June 23, [redacted], I purchased an incomplete shower curtain set around 8:30 pm and, as I paid with exact change, I didn't keep the receipt. When I returned at 8:40 pm, the employee suggested leaving my name and number for the manager. Despite several attempts, the issue was not resolved. Finally, on June 30, I spoke to the manager in the store, but she was unaware of the situation. After detailing the employee on duty that night, the manager asked for my contact information to review the security footage. I'm disappointed that no follow-up has occurred after being promised a call back. I live nearby and wish for better customer service. Please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you, Maria Alcoser.

My son was recently asked to leave the Family Dollar store located at [redacted] Owen Drive in Fayetteville, North Carolina after an incident involving the store manager, Ms. Choo. I have been a loyal customer at this store for approximately two years. During a recent visit, Ms. Choo embarrassed me by stating loudly in front of other customers that I had not been coming in as often. When I inquired further, she mentioned it was related to my son's behavior, which I can't control. After some back and forth, Ms. Choo initially said I could return but later Ms. Rosa, another store manager, informed me I was no longer welcome without providing a clear reason. Despite my efforts, including trying to speak with Ms. Choo and being misled about her whereabouts, I have been denied access to the store. As a person with disabilities who relies on this store for essential items, this situation has caused me great inconvenience. I have always been respectful and friendly while shopping there. I believe I am being discriminated against unfairly due to my son's actions, even though I never bring him along while shopping. I am seeking resolution to this issue promptly as it is crucial for me to have access to this store. Thank you for addressing this matter.

While visiting the Ossippee, New Hampshire store on [redacted] NH-16, I noticed concerning behavior. The store manager had his mother, Carol, and girlfriend, Brenda, who do not work for the company, assisting with tasks on the sales floor and unloading the delivery truck. When inquiring about this, the manager claimed that his District Manager, Matt, approved of this arrangement and even mentioned plans for his girlfriend to work officially at the store. Additionally, the manager had his girlfriend working after hours when the store was meant to be closed. Employees Erika and Angela were also aware of these activities. I believe such actions pose a risk to both the company and customers, and I suggest that a replacement of the manager and the entire team may be necessary for the store's well-being.

My husband was accused of theft at Family Dollar in Charlotte, NC on Bradford Dr. We are both regular customers. When I asked the store manager for details, she mentioned recognizing him but didn't provide specifics. I am concerned that my husband was targeted due to his race (as most staff are African American and we are white) and his visual impairment. I want clarity on why he was asked to leave, as this is a first for us at this location. We are honest customers and this incident may lead us to shop elsewhere. I hope to find a resolution to this matter promptly to avoid discontinuing our patronage. Thank you for your assistance.

My daughter accidentally left her wallet in a cart at Family Dollar. According to my wife, an employee mentioned that an older gentleman returned the wallet outside the store. However, when my daughter inquired further, the employee claimed the man gave it back inside the store. The incident happened on a Wednesday, and when they returned the next day, the employee mentioned that carts are not left out overnight, except for one that might have been left on the other side of the parking lot. It's puzzling how the man identified it as a Family Dollar cart. The employee's conflicting accounts and nervous behavior during questioning raised doubts about the situation.

I experienced extremely rude treatment at a location in Dodge Iowa recently. Upon deciding to return my items due to the poor treatment, I encountered further disrespect. While in the process of returning items, an associate took pictures of my car assuming it didn't have a handicap sticker, which it does. When I requested to speak to the manager, my request was avoided, and I was given an incorrect number to file a complaint. The hostile behavior I faced from two employees, one male and one female, was so severe that I felt calling the police might have been necessary. I am eager for someone to reach out to me for further details about this incident at the store.

I was overcharged at the Family Dollar on 87th & Racine. I explained the issue to the manager on duty, who then asked the cashier. The cashier responded loudly and argumentatively. When I requested to speak directly to him, he also became loud and argumentative. The manager refused to refund the overcharged amount despite it being clearly indicated on the receipt. After waiting for a response, I felt disrespected, ignored, and undervalued as a regular customer. The behavior of the employees was criminal, unprofessional, and inexcusable. This incident occurred around 3:30 pm or 4:00 pm. I simply seek the rightful refund for the overcharged amount. My name is Ms. J, you can contact me at vfinney1970[at]yahoo.com or [redacted].

I worked at store #[redacted] and was consistently overworked with no breaks, along with another employee who also endured long shifts without breaks. The store manager, Zoubir Merzaq, seemingly avoided helping us with the workload and refused to give us breaks during our shifts. After expressing my concerns and refusing to work an excessive shift from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., the manager threatened to fire me. Despite confronting him about the situation, he accused me of being disrespectful without providing any specific reasons. Additionally, he spread false information among the employees that I had been fired. When I tried to clarify the situation, he dodged my questions. Another coworker confirmed that I had not been disrespectful.

I visited a store and requested $50 cash back after my purchase. I was informed after the transaction that cash back was not available, which left me disappointed. The manager, who seemed unhelpful, asked me to return at 4:30 pm for a resolution, which inconvenienced me greatly. Despite contacting the general manager multiple times on 11/24, I received no response. I reside in Stockbridge, far from the Lawrenceville location, and the entire situation caused me to miss a movie and rely on someone else for a 2.5-hour journey home. I'm frustrated with the lack of communication and assistance in resolving this issue promptly. Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

I had a distressing encounter with an employee I believe named Jase. Initially, she asked me to leave my bag at the front, mistaking it for a bookbag when it was my purse. I expressed discomfort leaving my wallet and she reacted by yelling at me, insisting she had a job to do. Feeling uneasy, I decided to wait outside with my partner. Despite this, she loudly called out for me not to leave and threatened to clock out to confront me outside. As I was leaving, she came out and engaged in a confrontational exchange. She proceeded to make disrespectful and discriminatory remarks towards me, using offensive language and accusing me of being with my partner due to his race. This all occurred in front of the store, inside and out. I am considering seeking legal advice due to the slander and discrimination I faced, which left me feeling embarrassed. I will not be returning to that establishment. The behavior of an employee in uniform directly reflects on the company. I attempted to contact a live person instead of an automated service or complaint form, but had no success, so I hope sharing here will be effective.

I visited the Family Dollar Store in Monaca, Pennsylvania on Sunday, December 2, [redacted], to purchase 6 Cell batteries. While at the store, I noticed a sign for a certain brand of batteries indicating a Buy one get one 50% off sale, so I picked up 4 packages accordingly. However, at the register, there was no sales associate present initially. After a wait and some confusion, the clerk eventually arrived and rang up my purchase. I realized the prices were not reflecting the sale, and after some back and forth, the clerk acknowledged the mistake with the batteries not being on sale anymore, despite the sign indicating otherwise. The clerk's attitude was very rude during this interaction, which left me quite upset. As I left, I observed the clerk near a computer by the entrance, seemingly occupied with something unrelated to customer service.

I recently visited the Family Dollar store on Clark Street in Cleveland, Ohio, where I encountered an issue with the general manager, Pam. Upon entering, I was asked to remove my hoodie due to store policy, even though I explained that I was feeling cold. Despite questioning the policy and asking for clarification, I was refused service and asked to leave. I inquired about the company policy in writing, but nothing was provided, and I was still ejected from the store. I believe that customers should not face discrimination based on their attire, especially when rules seem arbitrary and enforced without explanation. I frequent this store often and was shocked by the unprofessional behavior of the employees, particularly the manager. I hope the incident on December 9th can be addressed appropriately with the store manager and staff involved.

Hello, good afternoon. I am a representative from Veolia Water in New London, Connecticut. We are responsible for managing the backflow program for the City of New London. I would like to bring to your attention that the backflow device on the Fire Service at your new Family Dollar location on [redacted] Broad St. in New London has not been tested for [redacted] as required by the State Department of Health. Despite my efforts to contact the store manager, area manager, and corporate office via phone and email, there has been no response. Failure to complete the testing may lead to a violation notice being issued to the State and Local Health Departments and could result in a water service termination. I have been proactive in trying to resolve this matter, but unfortunately, I have not received any cooperation. Please reach out to me at [redacted] so we can address this issue promptly to prevent any further complications.

I have been a loyal customer of a store for a long time and have always had a good relationship with the staff. However, recently, the manager accused me of something I had no knowledge of, and later the assistant manager publicly accused me of stealing and banned me from the store. This was very embarrassing and hurtful as I have never stolen anything. The manager did not personally inform me of the ban, and conflicting stories were given by the staff. They were reluctant to review the security footage even though I know I am innocent. I am upset and disappointed to be falsely accused and banned from a store where I have been a loyal customer.

I was terminated over a month ago and I withdrew my funds from my ESPP. I would like to know when I can expect to receive the money. Additionally, there has been an issue with payroll not processing my garnishments correctly. They have continued to withhold money from my last paycheck dated November 23rd for September, October, and part of November. Despite my attempts to reach out to payroll, I have not received any response which is very concerning. I am unsure of where to turn next for help. Should I contact Experian to investigate and ensure my funds are in the right place? I cannot afford to wait until the end of the year for this matter to be resolved, especially since I am currently unemployed. Please reach out to me as soon as possible to provide an explanation of the situation.

I am looking to connect with someone who is knowledgeable and efficient. I have had a frustrating experience trying to exchange basic items with a receipt at three stores. One store accused me of fraud in front of others without properly examining the receipt. As a disabled person with three broken bones in my foot, making a simple exchange has been challenging. Despite following the exchange policy, encountering unhelpful staff members has been disheartening. The manager from the original store and the employee at the Beaumont College location treated me poorly, and I suspect racial bias. The attitude problem seems widespread, including at the 11 St Beaumont store. I frequent the College Street store for various purchases and have never had issues before. It is disappointing that reaching customer service has been so difficult. I am now headed to the Port Neches store, my original purchase location, despite the inconvenience of the distance. A commendation goes to the one employee who was helpful and understanding. I aim to complete my exchange, get my dog food, and discontinue patronizing this company due to the ongoing challenges faced.
