I sold a shirt for $18 on Facebook Marketplace. The buyer claimed she didn't make the purchase, yet she received the item, and I received my payment in October. However, on December 2nd, Facebook took back the $18 payment and an additional $20 without notice or explanation. Despite providing delivery confirmation, Facebook has not provided a clear reason for deducting $38 from me, more than double the original payment. I am frustrated and seeking assistance to understand why this happened and to either receive my $38 back or have the shirt returned along with the extra $20 deduction. Any advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

I also collaborate with the California Chamber of Commerce on Business and Profession Code issues related to online platforms like Facebook. Recently, I encountered an issue with my personal/work Facebook account (facebook.com/amosyoungjr) being disabled without prior warning. This action has affected my ability to communicate and engage in my various roles, including my ongoing background checks for a law enforcement position. Moreover, the loss of access to my wedding video, where my wife and I met through Facebook, is distressing. I am uncertain about the reasons behind the account disablement, as I have always adhered to Facebook's Community Terms. I seek guidance on appealing this decision to restore access and alleviate the impact on my community service commitments and career aspirations. On December 25, [redacted], my account under the name Katia a Valentina got disabled. I am not sure why this happened, but I believe it might have been due to a post on an account where I was looking for an Uber to visit my family on Christmas Day in Chile. Facebook requested me to record a video where I had to turn my face slightly to the left, then to the right, up, and down for verification. After submitting the video to Facebook, my account remained disabled. I have been trying to access it without success, being notified that I have 30 days to request a review before it's permanently disabled. The issue I am facing is finding a platform to request a review. I created the Katia A Valentina account because my previous one, Katia Valentina, got disabled due to what I believe was false advertising I unknowingly posted. I truly want to regain access to both accounts as my old account holds sentimental photos, and the new one has family members I don't want to lose contact with. My Facebook account has been hacked and taken over by someone else. Despite numerous attempts, I was unable to report the issue or change my password. Facebook no longer recognizes my username, password, or phone number. When trying to recover my account, I encounter a screen asking for a code sent to the email of the person who took over my account. The Facebook help center is unhelpful as it requires an email address that is no longer recognized. I reached a page asking for a photo ID, but I am unsure if it is safe to provide that information. Both I and a family member have tried to report the issue to Facebook without success due to my unrecognized email. Although I found a phone number, there is currently no option to speak with anyone there.

Hello, I'm Mike G. I have a serious issue with my phone. Whenever I fill out applications, it shows that it's coming from Detroit, Michigan. I actually live in Toledo, Ohio. I need to remove this Michigan location from my phone and make sure it registers as Toledo, Ohio. I keep encountering Facebook scammers instead of real users. I am having trouble accessing my Facebook account. I am attempting to reset my email and password, but I am not receiving the SMS code required to complete the process. As a result, I am unable to log into my Messenger as well. I have attempted to input numerous codes already today, leading to being locked out. I am in need of simple, step-by-step guidance to retrieve the SMS code and regain access to my Facebook account, as I am not very tech-savvy. My profile appears to still be active.

Dear Sir/Madam, I have had my Facebook account for nearly four years now, but sadly, it was hacked by an unknown individual around 3 p.m. yesterday. This person has altered my information, including my date of birth, making it impossible for me to recover my account due to Facebook's terms and policies. There have been strange activities on my account that I didn't do. My girlfriend suspects that I have multiple accounts and that I'm changing my profile to resemble someone else. It's frustrating since there are apparently many people with the same name as me. The situation has made this Christmas the worst one yet, mainly because of Facebook, which I rarely use. My girlfriend is even considering moving out because of these issues on Facebook. It's incredibly distressing to be falsely accused, especially by someone you care about deeply.

I recently got a new phone and have been locked out of my account. The recovery email is not allowing me access to my account but rather to someone else's account for some reason. Whenever I delete and reinstall the Facebook app, it displays the other person's name instead of mine. I have tried both my original email and backup email, and I am encountering problems with both. Every time Facebook sends a code to my original email, it does not go through. One of my emails is [redacted], and that is the one where I receive the code for the other person's account. I need the Facebook customer service team to thoroughly investigate the situation. I suspect someone has stolen my personal information from Facebook. I can't create a new profile as it keeps getting disabled using my current information. This issue needs immediate attention. I was told I had to pay for a technician to solve technical problems, but this seems strange as Facebook is a free platform. My name is Adam Pope from Wallington, Surrey.

I recently received a notification from you regarding my logins on PetFinder and allegedly providing them with Facebook information. I have visited PetFinder multiple times this month but did not intentionally provide any details such as my name, email address, or profile picture (I don't even have pictures of myself). I simply browse through the pictures and descriptions of animals. If there was an inadvertent mistake on my part, it was not intentional. At 84 years old, my computer skills are limited to basic browsing and sending emails to friends. I am curious about what issue my harmless actions have caused. Can you please clarify what "crime" I have committed by simply looking at adorable puppy pictures on PetFinder? Thank you.

Hello, I recently attempted to update my Facebook age due to receiving irrelevant ads. Inadvertently, I changed it to today's date and my account got disabled for being too young. I am currently unable to publish posts on Facebook. I oversee four groups and a business page. Today, I was released from a Facebook restriction, and after making three successful posts from my personal profile, I tried to post from my business page profile. Unfortunately, I was promptly blocked from posting again for allegedly posting excessively. I rely on these posts to manage my groups, so this restriction hinders my ability to do so. Hello, I am Rui Cruz, the administrator of two Football Club pages. The first page is www.facebook.com/futebolclubedemarinhas and the second is www.facebook.com/Fcmarinhas-Fcm-[redacted][redacted]/. We are encountering difficulties with changing usernames between the two pages. We released the username "fcmarinhas" from the second page to use on the primary page, but we are unable to do so. Additionally, our attempts to merge the two pages using Facebook tools have been unsuccessful. Despite various efforts like placing both accounts under the same business manager and adjusting location and name details, errors persist. We even tried using a similar name but encountered a message stating it is already in use. In summary, we require: a) The username "fcmarinhas" for the first page; b) The merging of both pages. I have experienced multiple account suspensions due to alleged "bullying" incidents while responding to derogatory comments aimed at my gender, race, occupation, or social status. Despite reporting these cases, they are consistently deemed not to violate community standards. I've noticed that the profiles in question are often liberal, progressive, or democratic socialist, whereas I typically share more conservative or libertarian content. It raises the question of why I seem to be singled out, while those with differing political views are able to attack me without consequences. My concern is the censorship of my freedom of speech while others are allowed to harass me based on our differing political opinions. Many of my friends on social media share similar worries about this issue.
