I clicked on my Facebook app icon and began to log in. As I'm trying to log back in there's a message saying that Facebook needs me to confirm my identity and pass a security check. So I used my email and password to log back in as normal and instead of going to my news feed the very next page asked me to perform a security check and the only way to get through is by sending a confirmation code to the phone number on my account. This is where the problem lies. The mobile number is a number that I no longer have, in fact someone else now has that number. The number on the account is ***-***-**** my new number is ***-***-****. The security check screen does not prompt or allow me to use an email instead. Even though I have two emails listed on my account and I have access to both. My email address is *****@***.com. My entire life and my home based business is attached to my Facebook account. I expected Facebook to have a better way for me to access my own account. I can change my password but I can not get through the security checkpoint without harassing whomever now has this phone number. What actually happened is now I am completely locked out if my own account with no way in! Can we please either update the phone number in the account so that I can actually retrieve my confirmation code or just use my email address that I have access to. This has been a complete nightmare!
