Hello! I represent the Westside German Shepherd Shelter, a non-profit dog rescue organization. We often run Facebook campaigns to raise funds, which are sent to us through PayPal or Network for Good via check. Sometimes, donors independently organize fundraisers, like for their birthdays, to support our shelter. Recently, we received a check from Network for Good, where donations are combined in $25 increments before being sent to us. Some donors want to verify if we received the funds from their campaigns. However, it's challenging to track these donations without direct information from the donors or volunteers who organize these fundraisers on Facebook. I recently had a concerning encounter where someone impersonated a family member on Facebook Messenger. This person claimed to be my 2nd cousin from Nigeria and engaged in typical small talk before mentioning "good news." Yesterday, I received a message from this fake account with my cousin's picture, indicating a new phone connection. When I questioned their identity, they confirmed it was my cousin and continued the familiar pattern of conversation. Realizing the scam, I contacted my actual cousin, who confirmed she wasn't active on Messenger. It's troubling how easily someone can pretend to be a family member online, leading to potential information exposure. This situation is pushing me to reconsider my Facebook usage. It's essential for Facebook to address this issue to protect all users from such deceitful practices.

I have been experiencing difficulties accessing my Facebook account. About 6 months ago, I changed my password due to a security breach. Although I do not frequently use my account, I decided to delete it recently but found myself unable to log in. Despite multiple attempts with various passwords, none of them were successful. Furthermore, the email linked to my account was deleted years ago, leaving me with no access. I followed the steps to change the email associated with my account, submitted my ID for verification, and received the email to reset my password. However, whenever I try to change my password, I receive an error message saying I have exceeded the allowed number of attempts. After waiting for 3 days to try again, the issue persisted. Now, it states I have tried the code too many times, but the email address to which the code is being sent does not exist. My only intention is to log in to delete my account, making this entire ordeal frustrating and unnecessary. Kindly resolve this matter promptly so I can proceed with deleting my Facebook account.

Hello. I hastily created a user profile for my business some time ago when I really needed to set up a business page. The profile was assigned a username that I now want to use for the business page. I attempted to change the username on the profile account, hoping it would become available for the business page, but it seems to be unavailable when I try to assign it to the business page. I'm wondering if Facebook can assist in transferring the username to the business page or removing it from the system so that I can allocate it to the business page. My sister's account was hacked by pro-Palestinian hackers. They posted images of a terrorist and hateful messages using her profile. They also changed her email and password. We have tried various ways to reach Facebook, but her account was eventually removed after many reports from our friends. Is there any possibility to recover it? The main problem now is that the email linked to her account is inactive for a long time. Even if Facebook assists her, it will be using the old email. Is there any alternative way she can verify her identity with different documents? This is crucial for her as she has been using the account for many years and it contains a lot of sentimental photos.

I am the new commissioner of AYSO [redacted] in Ogden, UT. Our organization has three-year term limits on leadership. When I took over from the old board, they hacked into our Facebook page and converted it to their new club. You can see evidence of this on the page. They have locked me out, changed the logos (which is trademark infringement), spread lies about AYSO, and solicited our subscribers. There's even a post where they claim to be the current board attempting to convert our program to theirs, which they cannot do. Yesterday, I received a message indicating that my account had been blocked and that I needed to change my password. After doing so, I was prompted to enter my phone number and gender, which led to the creation of a new account. Subsequently, I was asked to rebuild my contacts list, a task I found challenging as I couldn't remember all the details. This experience has made me suspect that my account was compromised. Although my original contacts list is still intact on my phone, I noticed important friends and family members missing from my Facebook "friends" list, hindering my ability to share information. Moreover, I haven't been receiving updates from them, while unfamiliar individuals are sending me friend requests. I would like to restore my original 15-year-old account and eliminate this new one if possible.

I am trying to access my Facebook account from a different device and phone number as my old number is no longer in use. However, every time I try to log in, Facebook sends a code to my old phone that I cannot access. I have contacted Facebook and sent them my photos for verification, but I am still unable to access my account. My Instagram account has been locked due to a suspicious login attempt after I tried to access it on my Chromebook yesterday. Despite numerous attempts to receive a verification code, I haven't been successful as I used a fake email when signing up. I've contacted Instagram five times and GetHuman twice but haven't received any responses. I'm feeling frustrated as I've exhausted all options and really don't want to create a new account. Earlier today, my profile was hacked, and the hacker posted a video link on my timeline, tagging over [redacted] of my friends. Realizing the issue in about 8 minutes, I promptly changed my password, logged out of all other devices, and enhanced my account security by creating a stronger password and enabling dual login verification with a security number from Facebook. Although these steps have secured my account, I am now unable to tag anyone due to alleged abuse of this feature. This restriction comes as a disappointment after being a victim of hacking. I encountered an issue while trying to access my Facebook account. Upon login, I was prompted to verify my identity for security reasons, and the process involved changing my password and identifying photos of friends, as well as recent comments. When asked about unfamiliar email addresses or phone numbers, I selected "skip" as they were all mine, but then I was unexpectedly prompted to enter a valid email address, although there was no field provided. Attempting to progress, I tried deleting my email, but it redirected me back to the same page. Despite multiple attempts, I could not proceed and found myself frustrated by the constant password changes and inability to access my account.
