I recently received a letter from your office explaining that the 2[redacted] Signature Page for my daughter, Carly S. Peck, was returned due to a mismatch with the online application record. Although we completed the application online, we encountered issues with submitting the signature information for my wife and me. Following your instructions, we printed, signed, and submitted the Signature Page. Any assistance you can provide regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am assisting my daughter with her school application for the 2[redacted] academic year. The system requires me, as a parent, to electronically sign the form. However, every time I attempt to do so, I receive an internal error message prompting me to try again later. This issue persists even after multiple attempts using both my daughter's login and a newly created parent account. I would greatly appreciate some guidance on how to successfully sign my daughter's application.

As a parent, I have been attempting to submit my daughter's FAFSA application for a month now. Despite trying both online and using the app, I encounter an issue after completing the section for the student's financial information. Every time I try to move forward to the sign and submit page, I either face a spinning circle on the computer or get redirected back to the verification page on the app. Despite calling the help line four times, I have been disconnected multiple times after waiting on hold for an hour. Although one customer service representative guided me through the app process until the same issue occurred, I never received a callback after the disconnection. I am looking for assistance to get past this apparent program glitch so I can successfully submit my daughter's FAFSA application.

I've been having trouble completing my FAFSA since October because when I attempt to sign it using my mother's account, it keeps saying her information is being updated. I waited a whole month to see if the update went through, but it hasn't. It mentions something about her social security, but that's all the detail I have. I urgently need this information updated so I can submit the FAFSA. Thank you.

I am encountering issues trying to correct my FAFSA. An error message keeps popping up indicating a significant change in my parent's family size since last year. Initially, I mistakenly entered my grandmother's tax details on the [redacted]-22 FAFSA application. My mother has four children, and omitting this information causes another correction request. I am unsure how to proceed because of this dilemma.

Hello, I am trying to use my Pell Grants at the Gateway School of Real Estate in Stuart, Florida. However, when I searched for the school's name, I couldn't find any information. I contacted the school, and they advised me to contact fafsa services for help. Can you help me with this issue?

Hello. I am looking to make a correction to my submitted 2[redacted] FAFSA application by adding another school. However, after adding the new school and moving through the tabs, I encounter an issue on the "student financials" tab where the page does not progress to the final "sign and submit" page. This is confusing to me as I have previously submitted the application successfully.

I have a question about filling out the upcoming [redacted] fall/spring semester FAFSA for my 21-year-old son, a junior at the University of Georgia. He lives in an apartment and is not claimed as a dependent on my [redacted] taxes. Even though his dad lives in South Carolina and was unemployed for most of [redacted] due to Covid, I've been completing the FAFSA for my son for the past few years. Now I'm wondering if his dad should fill out the FAFSA for him this year to potentially increase grant and loan opportunities. Could his father filling it out require him to get his own FAFSA ID? My son also works part-time for Uber Eats.

Hello! I have always felt apprehensive about completing my FAFSA as a non-custodial father, unsure of the outcome due to my situation with my ex-girlfriend. Regardless, I've decided to pursue my education during these challenging times brought on by the pandemic. My goal is to improve my income to support my son better and potentially seek legal help for custody matters in the future. I recently started nursing school at a local community college and was surprised to receive only $[redacted] in financial aid for this semester. A former coworker mentioned they received at least $1,[redacted] in a similar situation. While not an expert, I believe I can demonstrate my need if given the opportunity. I recall being informed at a financial aid orientation on January 13, [redacted], that I was eligible for $2,[redacted], which excited me. However, on the first day of classes on January 18, [redacted], I was informed that only $[redacted] was applied. I appreciate the assistance but seek clarification on the discrepancy to better understand the situation.

Good morning, I'm Sharon H., the parent of Brogan T. H. On Tuesday, January 25th, Brogan needed assistance with his application. Due to a recent medical procedure earlier that day, I was advised not to make any decisions. Despite this, we proceeded with the application. Now, my son has lost $1,[redacted] in scholarships and is struggling financially. As the sole provider in our family, I am puzzled by this outcome and wonder if I input incorrect information due to confusion. I am seeking help to resolve this situation as my son is working hard to pay for college independently. Thank you for your attention.

Concerns regarding financial aid handling at SPSCC I contacted South Puget Sound Community College regarding financial aid consultation. Security Director Fred Creek and Vice President for Student Services Dave Pelkey were uncooperative and hostile towards me, denying me access to my funds and educational resources. They displayed unprofessional behavior by ignoring my concerns and unfairly restricting my access to the campus. Despite escalating the issue, they failed to resolve the situation and resulted in unjust treatment towards me. The school's actions were concerning, and I sought assistance from the Olympia Police Department to address the matter. The lack of accountability and disregard for proper procedures by the college staff is alarming. I hope to have this issue resolved promptly and fairly.

When I check my FAFSA application status, it shows 'Action required' and below that, it states "the SSA does not recognize both parents' SSNs." Despite entering the correct SSNs for both parents, it's still flagged as incorrect. My parents, who are Mexican, are non-residents but do file taxes using an ITIN. I entered their ITINs, thinking it would suffice like a SSN. I've double-checked multiple times and encountered the same issue each time. University staff confirmed my entries and suggested leaving the parents' info blank and submitting, but the form doesn't allow it. The SSA's contact number only leads to automated recordings, proving unhelpful. I'm at a loss and seeking guidance here, hoping for a resolution. Thank you.

I am currently attending the University of Houston Downtown and the payment deadline is quickly approaching on September 12. Despite being informed that the financial aid refund would be dispersed starting August 18, I have not received it yet. I have visited the campus financial aid office multiple times, and they have explained that the delay is due to issues with FAFSA. Although I specified UHD as my campus when applying for FAFSA, it does not show up in my enrollment status. I am anxious to resolve this matter as I rely on financial aid to continue my studies. While I have been assured that the money will come through this week, I keep receiving payment reminders and am told conflicting information about my enrollment status. My family's low income makes it impossible for me to enroll in a payment plan, and I am desperate for a solution to this predicament.

I applied for a student loan for the [redacted]-23 academic year at the University of Maryland Baltimore on September 2. After receiving a notification that FAFSA would send my information to the university, I waited to hear from them but did not receive any communication. Concerned about the approaching payment deadline of September 20, I contacted the university this morning. They informed me that they had not yet received any information from FAFSA. I am now unsure if I completed the FAFSA form correctly and I wonder how long it typically takes for the university to receive this information. I hope to receive a prompt and helpful response regarding my situation. Thank you.

I am seeking guidance on the requirements for international schools to affiliate with FAFSA and if there are any associated fees. My daughter, who is covered by a Florida Prepaid College Plan, has been accepted to a medical school in Costa Rica, specifically UCIMED. Florida Prepaid indicates they will only release funds if the school is affiliated with FAFSA. UCIMED is internationally accredited and listed by the ECFMG, evaluating medical graduates worldwide for U.S. programs. I require documentation on why it is crucial for a foreign institution like UCIMED to join FAFSA. Convincing them is essential to avoid financial loss for our daughter's education. I have tried contacting the Foreign School Participation Division at FAFSA multiple times to no avail. Your assistance is appreciated. Thank you, C. H. Solis

I am currently on hold on the phone seeking assistance with accessing my students' FAFSA applications for [redacted]. The email we previously used is no longer valid, and I am encountering issues with entering a new email during the application process. I am at work and facing challenges with email verification. I am attempting to use [redacted], and although it seems to work, I am unable to access my son's account due to an incorrect email and password. As my daughter also needs to apply this year, I am unable to proceed with either application. I require help in setting up a new email and password for both of my students, using [redacted] Given that my children will need to apply for the next 2 to 4 years, I am looking for a more effective way to manage their accounts. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I would like to share my experience regarding my son's FAFSA application at Iowa Western Community College. We were instructed to submit the application, which we did. Later, we were informed that it needed a signature page. Following advice from a school staff member, I faxed in the signature page as indicated. Unfortunately, FAFSA rejected it because it wasn't mailed in. Neither my son nor I were notified about this requirement. The school's financial aid office advised that it was too late to address the balance owed. Being a single disabled mom, my son relies on a scholarship and FAFSA to attend school. We are financially strained and unable to cover this unexpected balance. I am reaching out in hope that there might be a solution to this situation. Thank you.

My name is Segun Bello, a student at IVTECH College. For the fall semester, I received an estimated financial aid award of approximately $[redacted], which was unexpectedly reduced by FAFSA. I have completed my pre-nursing course and been accepted into IVTECH Bloomington nursing school with 11 credits. The Spring Semester cost exceeds $[redacted], yet I find myself dealing with the same estimated financial aid from the fall semester. I urgently request a review of how my financial assistance for the spring semester was calculated, considering I need to cover transportation costs to attend classes in Bloomington. Balancing educational expenses with family and household bills is causing me significant stress emotionally, financially, and mentally. The financial aid has been crucial in supporting my academic performance, and I fear that without appropriate aid adjustments, my studies could suffer.

Every time I attempt to create my FSA ID account, I complete all the required information on the website. However, upon clicking the “Continue” button on step 7 of 7 (“Confirm and Verify”), the page either endlessly loads or redirects me back to the “create an account” page. Despite checking, no account has been created in my name. This issue persists whenever I try to set up my FSA ID, crucial for signing my almost finished FAFSA form. It's essential for me to successfully create this FSA ID account.

My child is in a unique family situation. Their father recently remarried, and my child resides with him. I am a single mother. When completing the FAFSA application, do we need to include the income information for both my child's father, me, and the stepmother? I am concerned about privacy issues. Will entering this information allow each party to view sensitive details about the others, such as social security numbers and incomes? Is there a way to prevent this disclosure of information? Additionally, if we choose not to complete the FAFSA, what are the repercussions? We believe our incomes may disqualify my child from receiving financial aid, but we want to understand the implications of not applying at all.
