I started my first semester of college in New Jersey, my parents are divorced, I was living with my dad in NJ at the time (and every year he claims me on his taxes), so for my fafsa I entered his **** tax info and everything was fine. Well now I moved to my mom's house, she lives in Texas. I am trying to continue college in this state, but I've been having a hard time because of my fafsa. I am trying to register for the spring **-** semester, my question is: who's tax info do I use? I tried entering my mom's tax info from **** because I live with her now, and after having many problems with proverify I realized that maybe this is going no where because my mom didn't even claim me on her **** taxes, I barely lived with her in ****. Another thing, I never live in one place for very long - it's usually a few months in TX and a few months in NJ (mom and dad), but every year my dad claims me on his taxes. By the way, I am **. So i don't really know what to do now. I missed this fall semester because of all the documents proverify needed that I did not have, I didn't meet the deadlines to start the semester. I'm afraid the same thing is going to happen again now that this semester is almost over and I do not want to take a year off of school. So *. Who's taxes do I use, *. Proverify wants me to amend my moms taxes because she filed as head of household in **** and she is remarried. But I know this is ok because she does meet the exceptions for that, so I don't understand why she needs to get her taxes corrected for that. They also said that I need to add her husband's tax info, *. he can't find his taxes, *. their incomes are not shared, he doesn't even live in this house so how could I enter him as "parent *" and my mom as "parent *" if I already have my dad & his info under "parent *", which cannot be updated or changed, and my mom is "parent *". Do I somehow qualify as special circumstances? Please help me I just want to get my degree
