Find out if an e-mail I received on Sunday was legitimate. The person would not tell me what country she was in and I still don't understand why the e-mail was sent. I would not complete the information they requested online since I could not confirm the legitimacy of the sender. ... I have been trying for two days to contact a real person to discuss an email I received regarding a credit balance. There is no reason for it. Yet it is impossible to reach a real person no matter which phone number is being used.
This service is being paid for. Three years ago it was quite easy to speak with a person* now it is a nightmare.
I want a person in the US to respond to my request.

I finally used Protect My ID which is "sponsored" by Experian and the woman answered on the second ring. She was extremely helpful and funny. She gave another number to call* however, it lead back into one of the other numbers I tried using before. She agreed that the website address didn't sound legitimate and I ordered my free credit report through her. I hope Experian is checking the feedback.
