Handle sn issue that could not be done online. ... I tried to remove the freeze on my account. Apparently the PIN that I was initially issued on ********* is no longer valid. I went through the steps to verify my identity. (One thing I did was correct my address from "Dr" to "St" before attempting to lift the freeze.) When I got to some security questions, I was asked a question about someone named Ryan Banks. I do not know, and have never known, someone named Ryan Banks, so I answered "none of the above" for a question regarding his address. Another question had nothing to do with me. Later a question was asked regarding whether I was associated with various streets. I paused on this one, because it included "Fir" a street where my father (deceased in ****) used to live. However, I answered "none of the above". Then I was told I could not access my account and was issued a notice to mail in a statement that I printed along with an ID. The problem is that my ID still says "Dr" after my home address instead of "St" which is now correct. We live in a relatively new development, and our address was changed from drive to street. We don't plan to change our IDs until they are renewed. I don't want to mail in this information and still have my freeze remain. We are planning to buy a new car and need to remove the freeze.
All of the Experian numbers that I called did not have an option to speak to a person and just suggest going back to the website.
