After the Experian hack, we failed to check or freeze our credit, and now I fear our information may be compromised. I've been targeted with fake emails claiming I was caught watching porn, although I don't engage in such activity. The blackmailers possessed one of my passwords used across multiple accounts. I am unsure if there is cause for alarm and seek advice on the advantages and disadvantages of freezing our credit. When attempting to contact your company by phone, I was uncomfortable with the extensive personal information requested like my social security number and address, prompting me to disconnect the call. The potential risk of a phone system breach further exacerbates my concerns about data exposure.

I bought a car in April after the dealer's Autocheck indicated no accidents. However, after running a Carfax later, I discovered that the car was actually in an accident. On July 22, I ran another Autocheck that did not reflect my purchase with the latest odometer reading. This inconsistency in the report has caused financial problems for me. It's important to clarify how Carfax gathers their information to ensure accuracy.

While opening a checking account at Synovus, the bank had trouble accessing my credit report with Experian. They said there was a discrepancy. My name is Kate McKenzie, I am 18 years old, and I have never had my credit report pulled before. I received my social security card when I was 8 after being adopted from China. The bank advised us (my Dad and me) to contact you to figure out the issue, but we couldn't find a working phone number among the ones we tried. The options we attempted kept saying they couldn't process our request. Please provide an email address or correct phone number where we can reach you to understand why the credit report couldn't be accessed. We suspect there may be a mismatch in spelling, birth date, or a similar issue, but we need to see the credit report to identify the problem. Thank you.

I would like to address a billing discrepancy. I received irrelevant responses related to a freeze issue instead of a real explanation. I need clarification on why my charges increased this year compared to last year. I noticed charges of $34.51 on June 1 and $86.35 on June 30. Contacting customer service was frustrating due to the automated system. My customer number is [redacted] and email is c********[redacted] I was billed $79.95 for the year ending June 29, [redacted]. If this is not resolved, I am considering canceling my subscription. The voicemail system was unhelpful, making it difficult to communicate any issues. I hope to have this resolved promptly. Thank you. - Raymond C. Dilzer

I recently applied to reside at the Alexander in West Palm Beach, FL. Surprisingly, your company reported a debt to Tennis Towers, my previous residence, which I wasn't aware of. Currently, I am in the process of resolving this issue with Tennis Towers. Unfortunately, my application was rejected due to this misinformation. My credit score, as confirmed by Capital One, is [redacted]. I am addressing this disputed matter and kindly request that you remove it from my credit file promptly so that I can proceed with moving in. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

After my recent ex-husband's passing, I expected that my name would be removed from our Lowe's credit card as per our divorce agreement from [redacted]. Despite moving out of state and not receiving any notifications or bills related to the Lowe's account, I believed the necessary steps had been taken. However, it seems his widow may still be using the card, which has now led to my loan application being rejected due to the shared account appearing on my credit report. Despite contacting SynchLowe's, Midland Credit, and Experian, I have not received the assistance needed to resolve this issue.

On January 13, [redacted], at 7:43 PM, I reached out to Experian through an email sent to [redacted] to cancel my "free" trial membership. Despite my request, I have been charged $24.99 monthly since then without my consent. Every contact number I have tried leads to an automated recording without an option to speak with a human operator. Believing my email cancellation request was sufficient, I thought the issue was resolved. I have never used their services or logged in. To my shock, I have unknowingly paid hundreds of dollars for a service I explicitly stated I did not want. The inability to reach a customer service representative for clarification is frustrating and feels unjust.

I am currently going through the home refinance loan process, and USAA Bank conducted a credit check. They found an outstanding bill of $[redacted] and some cents on my credit report, which is not familiar to me. I contacted Frontier, the internet service provider I have a current account with, and they confirmed my account is in good standing with no additional accounts linked to my name. When I purchased my home, Verizon was the landline provider, later acquired by Frontier. After consulting USAA, they shared that Experian was reporting the outstanding balance, which Frontier was absorbing. I reached out to Frontier again with the account number provided by USAA, and they located the account associated with the balance at a different address from mine. My name is Douglas B. Wahl, and I reside at [redacted] S. East St. in Hudson, IL [redacted]. The account in question was open from [redacted] to January [redacted], but I canceled my home phone service in October [redacted]. The mistaken address and timeline don't align with my records, so I am seeking assistance to have this error removed from my credit history.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to address an issue with my car insurance policy with LV. I have been a loyal customer with a good payment history. Upon returning from a trip abroad last year, I made sure to inform all my direct debit companies, including LV, about my absence and settled all my installments. I even confirmed with my bank, Lloyds, to avoid any issues during my time away. To my surprise, when I recently tried to renew my insurance with LV for my new car, I was informed that I couldn't pay in installments due to being blacklisted by Experian. This came as a shock since I have never had any payment issues before. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Your help in sorting out this mix-up would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Ahmed M. Ahmed

Subject: Assistance Needed with Disputing Experian Credit Score Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to seek assistance in correcting inaccurate information on my credit report. Specifically, there is a fraudulent credit card account opened by Wells Fargo Bank incorrectly associated with my name due to a misunderstanding during my daughter's inter-bank transactions overseas. Despite multiple attempts to rectify this error with Wells Fargo Bank, the misinformation persists on my credit report. My daughter has already addressed and settled the related charges to ensure no negative impact on her credit. However, the erroneous account history continues to affect my credit score unfairly. We are involved in a class action lawsuit against Wells Fargo Bank for such practices and hope to resolve this matter promptly. Your help in removing this inaccurate data from my credit report would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Laurie E. S. DOB: 05.18.1[redacted] 10th Court SE Salem, OR [redacted]

Subject: Assistance Needed with Experian Credit Score Dispute Hello, I want to address an issue regarding my credit score. There is a credit card account listed under WF CRD SVC, which I believe to be fraudulent and inaccurately linked to my name due to a situation with my daughter's account at Wells Fargo Bank. My daughter opened an account with Wells Fargo Bank while she was overseas, and without her knowledge, they also opened a credit card account in my name. Despite my repeated attempts to dispute this with Wells Fargo, the erroneous record remains on my credit score. My daughter has settled all charges related to this issue to avoid negative credit impact, and we have taken legal action by joining a class action lawsuit against Wells Fargo for similar cases. I am reaching out for assistance in removing this inaccurate information from my credit report. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Laurie E. Staggs

I was able to quickly unfreeze my credit history with Transunion and Equifax within 10-20 minutes. However, I have been struggling for four days to do the same with Experian. Despite my repeated attempts and patience, my phone line keeps disconnecting. I have filled out their form numerous times, only for it to vanish. After speaking with two representatives, one was unhelpful, but the other was great until we got disconnected. Unfortunately, I have now misplaced the contact number for a Real Person. I simply need them to unfreeze my credit history from Aug. 2nd to Aug. 10th and confirm that it has been completed. Thank you, Marguerite Kelly.

I am currently experiencing a problem while setting up my Project Fi account with Google. During the credit check process, my last name appears as "E Banks," with "E" incorrectly listed as my middle initial. This error is not reflected in my Google account details. Google's IT technician has identified that the issue lies with Experian. To rectify this, please update my legal name to: First Name: Lindsay Last Name: Banks I am uncertain why this discrepancy occurred, and I am frustrated by the lack of options to speak with a representative over the phone. I am hoping for a prompt resolution by either a callback for identity verification or through an email response. It is crucial for me to set up my new phone account promptly due to the change from my previous provider...

I attempted to open a checking account at Chase, but my application was declined, possibly due to information on my credit report from Experian. I contacted Chase to address the issue, but upon checking, they informed me that there was no credit history associated with my name. I find it puzzling why I am unable to open an account with Chase if there is no credit record established.

I currently reside in Florida, and my address there is accurate. I am temporarily staying in Maryland, first with my son in Glen Burnie for a month and now in Ocean City with a friend. As my friend's residence does not receive mail, her mail is sent to her business in Selbyville, Delaware. While I am away from home, I arranged with Nissan to send me the release of lien for my car loan. Initially, I asked them to send it to my son's address in Glen Burnie, then updated the delivery address to my friend's business. These addresses in Glen Burnie, Maryland, and Selbyville should not be associated with my account as they are temporary. My final return to Florida is scheduled for September 3rd.

On August 8th, I contacted my insurance company to request a rerate on my homeowners policy. They informed me about a credit check with Experian, so I called customer service to unfreeze my credit report for a month. I received a confirmation number for the temporary unfreeze during that call, but was informed it might take up to three days to process. On August 10th, when I contacted my insurance company for the rerate, my credit report was still frozen. I called customer service again this morning, and the automated system confirmed my credit report was frozen. Despite multiple attempts, I was asked for extensive documentation to unfreeze my report. I have confirmed my identity and possess the required PIN, but I am unable to reach a representative or unfreeze my report. Seeking assistance urgently. Thank you.

I attempted to lift the freeze on my account, but the PIN issued previously is no longer valid. As I followed the steps to verify my identity, I corrected my address from "Dr" to "St." During the process, I encountered security questions including one about someone named Ryan Banks, whom I do not know. I answered "none of the above" for questions related to him. Another question did not pertain to me at all. When asked about associations with various streets, including "Fir" where my deceased father used to live, I selected "none of the above" despite the connection. Now, I am unable to access my account and was instructed to mail a statement with printed information and my ID. However, my ID still shows the old address as "Dr" instead of the updated "St" due to a recent address change. Although our IDs will not reflect the change until renewal, I hesitate to mail this information fearing the freeze will persist. We need to remove the freeze as we are planning to purchase a new car.

I had an issue when I submitted my information, and my callback was canceled because I missed verifying some details. I felt frustrated as it seems like the only way to talk to someone at Experian. Despite canceling my request, I got a call that I was unsure was from Experian. I asked for a direct number to contact them, but I ended up in the same cycle of providing information and being directed back online to resolve my issue. I really need to speak with a person, but I haven't found that option with any of the Experian numbers I have tried.

I am reaching out to share my experience regarding leasing a Genesis G80 through the Hyundai Pull-ahead program with Plaza Automall in Brooklyn, NY on November 13, [redacted]. Although the agreement included them covering the remaining payments on my old vehicle, they initially failed to ground the car properly as well as sent in the final three payments late. This resulted in my old vehicle payment being marked delinquent due to the delay caused by the dealership. Even after multiple attempts to resolve the issue with Plaza Automall, the situation was only rectified after three months. I am now seeking to have Experian remove the negative mark on my credit report as the dealership's negligence was the root cause of this payment delay.
