I recently received a letter from Direct TV stating that Experian was unable to locate a credit file for me, and this seems odd since I can easily access my credit rating online. It's confusing to be told that a fee would be required or that the offers I qualified for were less favorable due to this issue. I am puzzled by the discrepancy and would appreciate some clarification on this matter. Thank you.

We are in the process of purchasing a home and are facing challenges with our credit score. Despite resolving a reported issue with Experian, our score has not been updated a week later, affecting our timeline. We have made sure all outstanding payments are settled, but the delay is causing concern. Various inquiries made for assistance have not yielded any solutions yet.

I am concerned about a fraud alert that appears to be related to a stolen check. The check in question was cashed from the cancer society after being stolen and reported as such with the assistance of my social worker. The check was sent to an old address, leading to its theft. I was not in proximity when it was deposited and withdrawn. I visited the bank and completed some paperwork to address this issue. I need to ensure that any discrepancies are resolved promptly to avoid any negative impact on my credit as I am in the process of moving to a new residence. Since the rent at my current location has increased by $[redacted], I am anxious to review my credit report to address any issues promptly. Thank you.

I need assistance with two separate issues, possibly requiring different departments' help. The first matter is a technical problem with the "score simulator" feature on both the website and the app. Despite my attempts on various devices and browsers, it doesn’t seem to function under my account. I reported this matter a week ago, and a very helpful and competent representative assured me, after consulting with IT, that there were no issues detected on their end. However, the problem persists. The other concern I have pertains to my credit report. I noticed that my monthly Verizon bill is not reflecting as an installment account. I would like to understand why and explore options to have it included, considering it showcases consistent payments. Additionally, I am interested in finding ways to have my rent payments reported as well.

I am looking to speak with a live representative at one of the three credit reporting agencies but was unable to find the option during my recent call. On May 14, [redacted], I reached out to Experian to place a fraud alert and obtained a transaction ID. However, I prefer to access my credit report online rather than by mail. Similarly, I contacted Equifax to request a mailed copy but later realized I can obtain all three credit reports online for free. I would like Equifax to initiate a fraud alert on my account and cancel the request for a mailed report. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could confirm this request promptly. Thank you for your assistance.

I've been trying to reach out to your customer service lines from Japan for the past 5 hours to unlock our credit accounts, but with no success. Despite providing my SIN, zip code, and more, the automated system directs me to submit a letter, which is not feasible as I am currently in Japan. I urgently need to speak with a live representative to unlock the credit accounts for my husband and me, so our mortgage company can review the accounts. Unfortunately, using the website and our personal ID number has also been unsuccessful, as it prompts me to mail in documentation after entering my credit card details. Time is of the essence, and I require assistance promptly. Thank you.

I recently received a notification from my identity theft monitoring service regarding a report that my SSN was linked to a name of an unfamiliar individual. The service advised me to reach out to you for further details. I did leave a voicemail detailing the situation and mistakenly ended up requesting a security alert on my SSN, which was not my intention. I merely seek clarification on the potential issue of my SSN being linked to someone else. Therefore, I kindly request the cancellation of the security alert and prompt contact regarding this matter. Please get in touch with me soon. Thank you.

I am currently facing an issue with my credit report where it shows that I was born in [redacted], which is incorrect. My actual date of birth is March 28, [redacted], making me 49 years old. I previously reached out by phone and was informed that a correction was made to my personal details. I received two letters in the mail: one confirming the correction made due to my dispute, and the other containing my credit report. After reviewing the report, it still states that I was born in [redacted], causing significant issues for me. I recently applied for a FEMA loan due to being a victim of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. However, the SBA, the company handling the loan, rejected my application based on the inaccurate birth year on my credit report. They have requested evidence of this correction and advised me to contact you to rectify this mistake promptly so that I can proceed with my application. As I am facing potential dangers with the upcoming hurricane season, I urgently need this issue resolved. My credit report number is #3[redacted]-69 for 05/16/18, and the credit report number is #2[redacted]-92. You can contact me via email at [redacted], by mail at HC 01 Box [redacted], Gurabo Puerto Rico, or by phone at 1-[redacted]. I appreciate your assistance. Thank you. Sincerely, Mayra Morales Morales.

I have been trying to reach out since December through calls and letters. Upon investigating my credit reports, I noticed that Experian shows no information as if I do not exist. I am a 58-year-old woman seeking assistance in rectifying this issue and obtaining my credit score. Please contact me at [redacted] or send correspondence to [redacted] Lakewood Drive, Conroe, Texas. I have engaged a credit consultant who has sent the necessary documents to your office via mail and fax, yet there has been no response despite repeated attempts in May and June [redacted]. This matter is urgent as my 82-year-old mother, who has Alzheimer's, lost everything during Hurricane Harvey, and we need a reliable vehicle for her medical appointments. I am a legal resident of Texas with all required identification proofs provided. Despite submitting documents like my Entergy bill and property deed, my records remain unrecognized. Your prompt attention to this issue is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Respectfully, Victoria

I recently received a credit denial for an application I did not submit. After speaking with the company that sent the letter, they suggested reaching out to you for more information on the reason behind the denial. My FICO score is [redacted], and I have a good payment history with only three bills aside from my mortgage. I am not behind on any payments currently or in the past few years. Lake Elsinore Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram confirmed that no credit application was submitted through them.

I am frustrated with your phone system. It is nearly impossible to speak to a human. Instead, I am stuck dealing with a robot that repeats the same unhelpful information endlessly. This experience is not only infuriating but completely unhelpful.

Dear Experian, I have been a victim of identity theft since [redacted], and my credit report is frozen with a credit fraud alert in place. Today, I applied for an American Express Delta Miles card and temporarily unlocked my credit report until 6/22/[redacted]. American Express notified me that they couldn't access my credit because my phone number is missing from the Credit Fraud alert on the report. They require the listed telephone number to proceed with my application. Please update my Credit Fraud Alert with my phone number: [redacted]. Below are my details: Social Security Number: [redacted]-54-[redacted] Date of Birth: May 30, [redacted] Current Address: [redacted] Hilgenberg Ln. SW Albuquerque, NM. [redacted] Previous Addresses: [redacted] Johnson Ave, Western Springs, IL 60[redacted] N. Sheridan Rd. #[redacted] Chicago, IL [redacted] Previous Employer: CNA Insurance – Chicago Current Employer: Allianz Insurance Chicago, IL (Headquarters in Munich, Germany) I urgently request that you correct this oversight. Please confirm once this has been resolved. Sincerely, Timothy Gagen

Hello, I am Kioka Brown. On Friday night, June 22, [redacted], my purse and wallet were stolen at my local Wal-Mart. My daughter's and my SSN cards were inside. Although the police returned my belongings, I am worried the person who had my purse may have written down our social security numbers. I want to freeze my daughter's number entirely as she is only 5, to prevent anyone from using her SSN. Additionally, I am looking to set up monitoring for both of our SSNs to detect any fraudulent activity. If any suspicious activity is detected, I want to be able to report it to the authorities. Please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you.

After making an $80 charge on my seldom-used J Crew card, I was surprised to discover the charge had been sent to collections when I applied for a home refinance and they did a credit check. Despite promptly settling the bill once notified and explaining that I had not received any statements due to an outdated address, Comenity Bank declined to make a goodwill adjustment on my account. They advised me to write a letter to explain the situation. I am concerned about the impact on my credit, given my history of responsible bill payment. How long will this stay on my credit report, and what steps can I take to resolve this issue?

I have encountered an issue with the Los Angeles Dept. of Water & Power where they were unable to verify my information using Experian's system. Despite providing them with my Social Security number, they were unable to match it to my name. This has caused inconvenience as I had to visit their office in person due to a lack of account history since March/April [redacted]. Sharing personal last four digits of my SSN, birth city, and mother's maiden name to resolve this discrepancy is not a problem. Living at [redacted] Pico Blvd., apt. 21, Santa Monica [redacted] since July [redacted], I am willing to cooperate to rectify this issue promptly. My SSN was acquired approximately 55 years ago during high school at Lakewood High School, only having one SSN throughout my life.

I recently noticed an increase in my American Express card's interest rate from 11.99% to 14.74%. This change came as a surprise to me, and I am confused as to why it happened. I always pay my credit card bills in full and on time, and I rarely carry a balance. I don't have any installment loans, and my house, for which I have a reverse mortgage, is paid off. I haven't opened any new credit cards recently, so the "length of time accounts established" should not be an issue. Additionally, I haven't authorized any credit inquiries in the last 12 months. I believe this increase in interest rate is unwarranted, and I am seeking clarification and resolution promptly.

I recently received notification from Bank of America that my Experian credit history is locked. However, on 12/19/17, I received an email from Experian stating that my credit report was automatically unlocked as requested. I am unsure why Bank of America cannot access my report or its current status. I am eager to have my report unlocked for all retailers. Can someone clarify the situation or direct me to the appropriate contact? I appreciate your assistance in this matter. Thank you. - F. Fontinell

I forgot to save my username and password during the security freeze setup. Now, when I try to reset them using my email and last 4 digits of SSN, the system can't find my information. I have a 10-digit PIN from the initial freeze, but it's useless without my account access. I can't reach a live person through the automated phone system for assistance. I feel frustrated as I need genuine support, but it seems like no one is available to assist me.

For the past two years, I have been an authorized user on my fiance's Capital One credit card. Unfortunately, Experian has not reported this credit history which is hindering my goal of improving my credit before buying a house. After reaching out to Capital One, they assured me that they report to all three credit bureaus. When I contacted Experian, they stated they had not received any data from Capital One. Following this, I initiated an investigation with Capital One, who confirmed that they do report information to Experian. I possess a copy of the letter detailing the investigation results I received from Capital One.
