On February 5th, the Best Western hotel Paradise experienced a water outage starting in the morning. Despite contacting the office about the issue and being told there was a note, none was found. As a guest renting a room for three days to celebrate a birthday, the lack of water was disruptive, especially when they were still without water at 4 pm with a promised restoration time of 4:30 pm. The hotel then directed them to a sister property for bathing but later informed them the water would still be out for an unknown period, prompting them to return hastily to collect their belongings and move. The ongoing water outage severely impacted their plans. The hotel suggested contacting Expedia for a refund, but so far no resolution has been reached. The experience was incredibly disappointing and led to a request for a refund for that day's accommodations.

I made a hotel reservation online because they advertised as animal-friendly. Upon arrival, the hotel had changed its policy, leaving me in a troubling situation. I contacted a representative to cancel the reservation. She suggested a pricier alternative and assured me a refund for the difference. Despite attempting to charge my card multiple times for the agreed $[redacted], it kept failing. Surprisingly, the other hotel still deducted the amount even though I couldn't stay there. The agent then persuaded me to revisit the website and pay over $[redacted] to the new hotel, promising reimbursement. In the end, the new hotel was way above my budget and expectations. Frustrated, I decided to cancel everything before finalizing the booking. The agent then informed me that I would have to cover the full hotel cost without any refunds. Feeling deceived and out of options, I believe I deserve a refund for all the charges, including the protection fees. The misleading information and the resulting financial loss have left me extremely disappointed.

I made a reservation at Spring Hill Suites in Punta Gorda, FL for a trip from 2/18 to 2/25. Currently in FL after traveling from MA, I needed a place to stay. The reservation was made back in June [redacted]. I received a call informing me that the hotel was overbooked, resulting in struggles to find an alternative. Unfortunately, nothing waterfront or with a kitchen was available. I reluctantly accepted a cheaper option at Country Inn in downtown Punta Gorda. Despite feeling downgraded and dissatisfied, I was charged the full amount for the original booking at Spring Hill. The reservations agent explained Expedia would cover the price difference. Frustrated by the situation, I am disappointed with the lack of discounts or compensation for the inconvenience. As a result, I canceled my future reservation with Expedia. The experience has been disappointing, lacking proper customer service.

I made a reservation at La Quinta by Wyndham Greenville Haywood in Greenville, SC for Ellen McCarty on Sunday, February 20. The confirmation number is [redacted] with a PIN: [redacted]. However, upon arrival, the hotel had no record of my reservation and was fully booked. I did not stay there, but my friend Lisa White made the reservation and was charged. I was browsing for tickets online and was surprised to discover that I was charged for two flights that I apparently bought and canceled within a minute. This charge occurred three weeks after I visited the site. Strangely, I cannot find any record of this transaction in my Expedia account or emails, even though I have booked through them before. I never received any emails from either Expedia or Spirit Airlines, nor did I receive a confirmation number. It's puzzling how this happened, and I need assistance in resolving this issue. My flight from Alaska to Dallas was canceled due to severe weather. I had booked a round trip for $[redacted] through Expedia, including travel insurance. After changing my first flight, I encountered issues changing my return flight. Despite contacting customer service twice, I was informed that only the United flight could be refunded, not the Alaska Airlines one. This situation seems unfair as both flights were part of the same booking affected by the canceled United flight. I had to use airline miles to book the Alaska Airlines flight separately. I am requesting a full refund for the February 25, [redacted], flight from DAL to SEA to ANC since changing the flight proved impossible. Unfortunately, the customer service experience has been unsatisfactory, and I will not be using Expedia in the future due to the lack of assistance and confusing policies.

I reserved a flight for September 2nd to the 5th from Fort Myers, FL to Greenville, SC, but Expedia altered it to September 1st to the 4th. They now want to charge me $40 per person for a flight change and a $99 per person penalty, which I find unacceptable. This change affects my attendance at my brother's wedding, and my parents' transportation plans for pick-up and drop-off. I had a conversation with a customer service representative who had difficulty with English. Despite booking early to secure the correct dates, he claimed no other flights were available. I did not receive an email confirmation code. I reached out to the hotel and airline to verify my booking details and received confirmation from them. I had purchased a package with flights, car rental, and hotel included. Upon arriving at Las Vegas airport, the car rental company requested additional payment for the vehicle usage, a credit check, and a return flight pass, services that were not part of our package. This discrepancy led to extra expenses for us as we only had one-way tickets included but needed a round trip. Due to the lack of communication, we incurred additional costs for Ubers and a separate flight to another state. I am seeking a refund for the car rental and the out-of-pocket expenses resulting from the lack of accurate information and support from your company.

On February 16, [redacted], while working as a waitron at the hotel's restaurant, I served three guests who requested their bill be charged to their room. Hello, I used Klarna to buy my flight tickets through Expedia for a payment plan with Spirit Airlines. The original price was $[redacted].48. After I made the initial payment, Expedia notified me that the price increased to $[redacted]. I never received an email from Expedia with my confirmation or itinerary, but they charged me $[redacted].34. Expedia doesn't have a record of my reservation, and I cannot reach anyone without the itinerary number. The cancellation was done through Spirit for $[redacted].34, but not by Expedia. Klarna cannot cancel on their end until Expedia does. I need help resolving this as I cannot afford to lose this money, and Expedia has been unresponsive. Klarna needs the transaction canceled so they can reverse the entire purchase, and I still need to buy my flight tickets.

Hello, I'm Sasa Cop. I made a reservation at Woodspring Suites Fridley, MN through Expedia from February 13 to the 26, [redacted]. I am a Crisis Response worker at a hospital in MN. The full amount of $[redacted].73 was charged to my PayPal card, but Woodspring Suites only received $[redacted].99, leaving a balance of $[redacted].02 for my 13-day stay. I have been in contact with Woodspring Suites and Expedia for the past 10 days. Representatives Mai, Joy, Son, Princess, Michael, Judy, Ned have been involved. I purchased Trip Protection from Expedia before my trip. Representative Ned promised to email Woodspring Suites on how to process the remaining payment. Despite Woodspring Suites' attempts to withdraw the funds, the transaction failed. The total payment was made via PayPal, and no refund has been issued. I bought a ticket in July [redacted] from Fort Lauderdale to Savannah. I had to cancel it and was issued a $[redacted] airline credit. However, I recently found out that the ticket was not canceled as I thought, and now I've been told there is no credit. Expedia recommended calling Silver Air, who mentioned they were not informed about the cancellation by Expedia. Consequently, I was marked as a No Show and did not receive the credit through them. Silver Air explained that Expedia often fails to transfer cancellation information accurately. The process was quite frustrating, but eventually, Silver Air resolved the issue, and I could use the credit. Expedia, please improve your communication to prevent losing customers who might choose to book directly with the airlines instead of using third-party services.

I needed to cancel my airline flights. My partner and I purchased two round-trip air tickets through Expedia from Oklahoma City to Edinburgh, Scotland. We had also booked a train excursion/tour across Scotland with TourRadar. Unfortunately, the tour company unexpectedly canceled our tour, rendering the plane tickets unnecessary. Expedia was difficult to reach, but eventually, I spoke to a representative who informed me that the airline tickets were nonrefundable. While the tickets for the outbound flight with American Airlines were "use them or lose them," the return tickets with Aer Lingus could possibly be changed for a later date within 12 months. We had obtained trip and flight insurance, but it did not cover this situation. Despite getting our tour deposit refunded through the tour company's insurance, we were left with pricey airline tickets that we could not get a refund for. Needless to say, I am not satisfied with Expedia.

Hello, I made a room reservation at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Milpitas, CA back in January and promptly canceled it. However, I was just charged for the canceled room a month later. Despite living three hours away and not needing the room for Feb 28th, the hotel claimed I was a no-show. They stated that they never received the cancellation from Expedia. Unfortunately, I can't find the canceled reservation on my app or account, and I no longer have the email verifying the cancellation. On Saturday, February 26th, I tried to make a reservation for a vacation package through Expedia. It included 5 round-trip tickets to Atlanta and a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom house for a 4-night stay from April 8th to April 12th, [redacted]. Hello, I have two booking references for a round-trip flight from Atlanta (ATL) to Incheon (ICN) last August, Booking Reference1: 4UC5JZ and Booking Reference2: 4U7SBA. I have received emails from Air Canada about schedule changes. The Expedia app shows the original schedule. However, I am unsure which one is correct - Air Canada or Expedia. In the updated Air Canada itinerary, there are no flights from Atlanta (ATL) to Toronto (YYZ), which seems odd. The return flight has changed from a 1-stop 18-hour to a 2-stop 30-hour flight. Despite airlines making automatic changes, the original level of service should be maintained to some extent.
