I am very disappointed that my airfare credits were revoked. I had booked 3 tickets for a trip on Alaska Airlines through Expedia for travel on 4-11-20 to 4-14-20. The flight was canceled by Alaska, and I was notified about a credit from Expedia in an email on 4-4-20. Despite receiving another email on November 20, [redacted], reminding me to use the credit by 12-31-21, I faced difficulties booking due to website and call center issues. I even received a call back at an inconvenient time informing me that my credit had expired. Trying to reach Alaska Airlines has been futile, with no success through calls or chats. I believe Expedia should honor the credit, considering my efforts to book before the deadline. I feel let down by the service breakdown and expect a prompt resolution; otherwise, I will seek further action. Thank you, N.T.

I have an itinerary number # [redacted][redacted]. I made a reservation for my husband and myself at Seadust Family Resort from January 18th to January 18th. We paid for a room upgrade hoping to enjoy the jacuzzi tub, however, the jets were rusted and unusable. The room service was slow and the food arrived cold. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we preferred to dine in our room, but we were unable to take food to go from the restaurants. Despite our concerns for safety, we were not allowed to eat outside. One of our family members contracted Omicron after dining indoors. The minibar was only refilled once during our stay. The hotel claims to be newly renovated, yet the condition did not meet expectations. The kids' waterpark had hazardous rusty stairs. As a result, we ended up eating at an outdoor hot dog stand for the duration of our stay.

I am reaching out to Expedia regarding a credit I received issues last year for a date mistake in my travel plans. The credit is valid until January 31, [redacted]. I aim to use the three tickets I bought before the expiration date. Unfortunately, my bag containing the necessary information got stolen two weeks ago. My name is Cheryl Alspaugh, and here are the details: Itinerary #[redacted][redacted] United/Confirmation #JROETK for a round trip from Denver to Lincoln for 3 tickets, booked on February 18, [redacted], meant for February 4, [redacted], as it was for my Dad's funeral service. I appreciate that I had a record of this in my email. Thank you, Cheryl Alspaugh.

I am currently dealing with a disagreement involving a hotel in Cabo facilitated by Expedia. The hotel initially agreed to change my booking dates due to my Covid diagnosis, but they are now claiming I was a 'no show' and are refusing to honor the change, attempting to withhold my funds. They insisted on being paid directly instead of through Expedia, alleging Expedia's errors in the booking, listing my travel agent's name instead of mine. Here are the details: 1. On 5-May-[redacted], I reserved the Villa-del-Arco in Cabo from Dec30 till Jan3 for myself, Loretta, and three relatives. 2. My travel agent Christine booked through Expedia using my Amex for about $[redacted]. 3. I tested positive for Covid on Dec27. 4. Christine requested a date change via email to Villa on Dec27. 5. Villa, particularly Irene, agreed in writing to the change requesting the new dates and a copy of my positive test. 6. I sent my positive test to Irene on Dec29. 7. I requested a new reservation for five nights starting Feb16 on Jan11. 8. Irene agreed to the new dates but required $[redacted] payment wired to their CapitalOne account. 9. I wired the money on Jan13 and provided confirmation to Irene. 10. Irene confirmed the payment on Jan17 for the revised booking from Feb16 to 21. 11. On Jan24, the reservation-manager Hugo rescinded the offer citing an error in the booking under Christine's name instead of mine despite the payments and communication specifying my involvement.

Dear Expedia team, I hope you are well. I am reaching out for assistance with resolving additional charges being applied by Fox Rentacar. I made a vehicle rental reservation through your platform for $[redacted], booking #[redacted][redacted], for the period January 1st to January 9th in Florida. Fox Rentacar has charged my debit card $[redacted] for insurances and other items that I did not authorize. When picking up the vehicle in Orlando, the Fox Rentacar representative offered me a $6 per day insurance which I accepted. However, I did not accept a second insurance for $46 as it was more expensive than the daily vehicle rental cost. Thank you for your attention and assistance in resolving this matter. Sincerely, J. Bustamante

I would like to address an issue I had with Expedia regarding the deduction of ticket cancellation charges for my Etihad flight from Delhi to Toronto. After booking two tickets, I received notification of a flight time change from Etihad that did not align with my travel plans. I subsequently requested a refund but was disappointed to find that Expedia deducted Rs 44,[redacted] as cancellation charges. I believe a dependable service provider like Expedia should prioritize passenger concerns better. Despite escalating the issue, I have not received a satisfactory resolution from either Etihad or Expedia. My complaint reference number is [redacted]0.

I recently received a message from Expedia stating that they were unable to reach the hotel for my refund request. However, I have spoken to the hotel's front desk, and they informed me that they communicated with Expedia in the morning and asked them to call back later to speak with the manager about my refund. It seems that there may be a miscommunication between Expedia and the hotel.

I have been trying to reach out to Expedia for assistance in Spanish regarding an issue with booking number [redacted][redacted]. I understood it was canceled, and when I inquired with Expedia, it showed as canceled. I trusted this information, but I found it strange that LAN hadn't refunded the cost. Apparently, Expedia informed me today that this reservation was not actually canceled, even though I did not use it. I didn't worry when LAN emailed me that part of the flight was canceled (MIAMI to Santiago de CHILE). I have attempted to contact LATAM, and they mentioned that since the trip was arranged through Expedia, only Expedia can deal with them. Therefore, I kindly request that you proceed with the necessary actions to have the funds returned promptly. I have been trying to get in touch with you for weeks through chat without much success. Thank you for your attention. Sincerely, Tomás Arteaga Vial.

On January 1, I booked an Expedia bundle deal with two round-trip airline tickets and a hotel stay in Indianapolis. When I checked my flight details the day before departure, I was surprised to see that my booking had been canceled without any notification. This led to me having to purchase two one-way flights at a much higher last-minute price. The airline mentioned that Expedia hadn't paid for the tickets, resulting in the reservation being voided. Consequently, I had to pay $[redacted].20 instead of the originally agreed $[redacted].40. I believe Expedia should reimburse me the $[redacted].80 difference. My Expedia itinerary number is [redacted][redacted] with confirmation LJCTEE.

I recently booked a flight through Expedia for Spirit Airlines and was charged a fee of $74.48 along with an additional charge of $6.68. Unfortunately, I discovered that Expedia cancelled the flight without informing me and still charged me the fees. I booked this flight this morning at 7:00am, February 3rd, under the name Yolanda D. While I received a confirmation that it was booked through Spirit, no itinerary or flight details were provided. After reaching out to Spirit Airlines, I was informed of the cancellation by Expedia. This lack of communication and refund from Expedia is concerning. I am considering seeking legal advice if a refund is not issued promptly. Resolving this matter swiftly is crucial as I need the funds to rebook my flight in two weeks.

I tested positive for COVID-19 before my return flight and promptly notified the airline. Despite this, I was charged an additional $[redacted] for a no-show. When I attempted to change my ticket to return on February 7th, I was charged an extra $[redacted] for a one-way ticket. The airline did not offer me any credit or assistance, so I had to cancel the expensive ticket. I provided my COVID-19 test results as proof and politely requested a refund through their website feedback page. Unfortunately, I have not received a suitable response and keep getting redirected back and forth between them and Expedia. I feel like a victim of this situation and seek justice. Hello, my name is Lilah Troitiño. I am reaching out to explain my situation and request Expedia’s support in obtaining a refund or credit for my daughter’s one-way ticket on TAP Portugal to Rome on May 29, [redacted]. Due to Covid-19, the flights were canceled. Despite trying to contact TAP multiple times without any response, we were advised by Expedia to reach out to them. After facing difficulties, we contacted Expedia again, and although they tried to assist, we were ultimately directed back to TAP. In [redacted], we purchased five tickets through Expedia, and TAP is the only airline with which we have encountered such problems. I am writing to request Expedia’s intervention in communicating with TAP on my behalf as a loyal client, seeking either a refund or credit towards future use. I eagerly await a response from TAP.

I am requesting a credit for my upcoming trip scheduled for late November with trip number [redacted][redacted]. Unfortunately, I faced difficult circumstances as my father recently passed away, and I have encountered health issues related to congestive heart failure and Covid-19. My doctor has advised me against flying due to health protocols, and I fear being in an enclosed space like an airplane due to my condition. I had reached out before the flight for a credit via email but did not receive a response. I now see an $[redacted] charge on my American Express bill that I would like to be credited. I am unable to use the Expedia credit reminder before a certain date and would appreciate a credit on my American Express account rather than a flight I may never be able to take. I can provide evidence of my father's passing, my health conditions, and the need for a credit. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - Douglas R.

Hello, I have a voucher for my daughter that needed to be used by December 31st, [redacted]. I tried for hours to make a booking but couldn't reach anyone. Due to COVID-19 staffing shortages and flight cancellations, we struggled to rebook. Although we managed to speak to someone on January 1st, they said the voucher had expired. I have saved screenshots and chat notifications showing our attempts before the December 31st deadline. We made several unsuccessful booking attempts as speaking to a representative was required, but we couldn't reach anyone. The voucher details are as follows: JetBlue Airways Credit $[redacted].93 Expiration Date: December 31, [redacted] Issued for itinerary #[redacted][redacted]. Azaria C.

Less than a week ago, I reserved a room at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Beckley, West Virginia, through Expedia for March 9th. Despite this, I have not received an email confirmation for my reservation. I reached out to the customer service line, but it only provided a reservation number, which I never received due to the lack of a verification email from Expedia. The customer service line was unhelpful as it lacked the option to speak with a live representative and the recorded message would abruptly end the call. Additionally, when I checked Expedia's website, it indicated that I have an account, which I do not, making it impossible for me to access the reservation number there. I am left uncertain about the status of my reservation without the necessary confirmation email from Expedia.

I had a concerning experience with FOX Car Rental at PHX airport. When I made my reservation on January 5, [redacted], the total price was indicated as $[redacted].15 with no additional charges mentioned. However, upon arrival at the rental counter, I was asked to initial a digital pad without being shown the contract, where I unknowingly agreed to a daily charge for Loss Damage Waiver insurance, resulting in a total charge of $[redacted].88. The employee did not disclose this added cost, and I feel misled as I only declined the insurance coverage, not additional waivers. I believe this was deceptive, and I am requesting a refund of $[redacted].73, the difference in price. I did not consent to these extra charges, and I expect a full refund to be credited back to my card. Jeanne Eschle W314N1007 Yorktown Ct Delafield, WI [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]

I fully prepaid for a three-day stay at Buena Vista Suites in Orlando from April 13-15 for five people. I have not received my confirmation email yet. The confirmation number provided by Gabriel is [redacted]. When trying to reach customer service, the system required a 15-digit confirmation number, not the 10 digits given. I am disappointed with the lack of customer service and organization. Please send my confirmed reservation to [redacted] I need to know whom to contact for a refund if necessary, as the hotel does not offer refunds for cancellations. The reservation is under Christine Bertolini. I attempted to call Expedia directly but ended up connected with the hotel instead. If I do not hear back within 24 hours, I will escalate the matter further. Thank you. - Christine Bertolini

I made a reservation through Expedia for TD in October [redacted] for a Budget car rental in Panama City. I booked a Toyota Rav-4 SUV from December 22 to December 30, [redacted], paying $[redacted].53 CAD upfront as indicated on the website. The booking included car insurance already. When we arrived in Panama, we were informed that the Rav-4 was unavailable and were offered a more expensive car at the same rate. However, we were then told we needed mandatory insurance due to having more than 2 people, despite our existing coverage. This unexpected cost brought the total to $[redacted].39 CAD. The reservation stated that all mandatory taxes and fees were included. I have all necessary documentation and have been trying to resolve this for a month without success. Please assist me in addressing this issue promptly. Thank you.

I am owed $[redacted].50 from Expedia. I paid $[redacted].91, but they only refunded me $[redacted].41 due to a form error. Dealing with Expedia and the airline for almost 6 months has been frustrating. I have reached out multiple times via phone, Twitter DM, email, and letters, but mostly received automated responses or no help. The customer service representatives have tried but haven't resolved the issue. I want Expedia to refund me promptly and correctly. I have been told conflicting information on when I will receive my refund, maybe in February [redacted]. I feel like my time and the interest I could've earned on my money have been wasted during this ordeal.
