My name is Penny Lincoln, I recently booked a flight, hotel and rental car through Southwest airlines, itinerary *******. When my family and I arrived to the resort that was booked through Expedia. I was shocked that such a large outfit as Expedia would recommend this type of establishment. When we got to our parking spot after checking in we noticed two men drinking and smoking in front of our building. As we got out of our vehicle we quickly learned he was smoking marijuana freely. also drink whiskey straight out of the bottle as small children ran around. My son is old enough to know what was going on, however thats just the beginning. As we processed to our room, feeling very uncomfortable for our safety, as we were being watch by these individuals, we finally got to this room, much to my surprise it was not what I thought fitting for my family to spend their vacation in. The room was dark, dingy, dirty, also smelled like someone had just moved out of it after living there for years. Definitely not the room that was presented on line! My husband looked at me and said I am not keeping my family in a place like this. he said outside was sketchy enough, then this, No way! I equally felt the same, We went back to the front desk to get a full refund, however, they would not refund because it was booked through Expedia. I must tell you this is my first experience booking with Expediain which I travel a lot. My hope is that this situation will be taken care of an resolved in a professional way. Also, to inform you, you might want to remove Legacy Vacation Resort from Expedia's resort option. Lastly, we had to drive all the way to Cocoa Beach to find another room. It was spring break with not one room available. Sadly my husband and son had to drive an hour each way and day back to Orlando because of previous tee time that had already been reserved before this nightmare, I couldnt afford to lose anymore! I would appreciate a full refund for this mishap. You can see that we had booked at different hotel throughout our stay if you look at my history. If not, I can provide reciepts showing we were unable to stay at such an unsafe and uncleanly establishment. This cost my family money x* so we could enjoy the rest of our vacation. Again, my hope is Expedia can make this right, therefor you can possibly still provide your services going forward to my family. I believe in second chances, if dealt with in the right manor.
