I recently booked a tour package to Coron, Philippines through Expedia, with the itinerary number [redacted][redacted]. I selected the details for the trip from Manila to Coron, including flights, hotel, and activities. However, upon sharing the itinerary with my travel companion in the Philippines, they pointed out that the flight is actually from Manila to Puerto Princesa, not directly to Coron. They mentioned that reaching Coron from Puerto Princesa would require booking another flight or a 6-hour land journey followed by a ferry. This mix-up is concerning as I specifically chose Expedia to ensure a smooth holiday experience without complications in travel arrangements. As someone unfamiliar with the area, the thought of potentially losing a day due to this oversight is worrisome. I hope for a resolution to this matter to avoid any further inconvenience.

My spouse and I were gifted a $[redacted] Hotels.com gift card. We selected a hotel in Fort Myers Beach, FL, for $[redacted].22 for three nights. Despite being unable to use the gift card directly at the hotel, we followed Hotels.com's instructions to book on their website and expected a price match guarantee. However, after securing our booking, we were informed that the lower rate was unavailable for verification because we had just reserved the room. During our stay at Pointe Estero Resort, we encountered issues with the TV channels, promised a credit upon checkout. The final bill from the hotel was $[redacted].79, $[redacted] less than we had paid to Hotels.com. Despite providing the billing statement to Hotels.com, we have been disappointed by their lack of response and continuous email runarounds. My advice from this experience is to avoid Hotels.com gift cards, book directly with hotels, and consider other booking services since Hotels.com's customer service has been unsatisfactory.

Subject: Request for Refund Due to Coronavirus Travel Changes Dear Expedia Customer Service, I am reaching out regarding my recent hotel booking at the Hansar Hotel in Bangkok. My wife and I had to depart early from Shenyang, China, due to the Coronavirus situation and checked into the hotel a day before our scheduled booking began. We have since returned home to Sydney and were informed by the hotel staff that we would receive a refund for the days we did not stay due to the circumstances. The hotel advised us to contact Expedia for the refund process as we made the original booking through your platform. We are requesting confirmation that the refund, as agreed with the hotel receptionist, will be processed back to the credit card we used for the booking. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this request. Best regards, Graham A. and S. L.

I purchased a return ticket from Hong Kong to Mumbai through Expedia.com, and the return flight on Indigo Airlines got canceled due to the Coronavirus outbreak. We were scheduled to fly on 28th Jan [redacted] but the flights were canceled by Indigo due to the current situation. Indigo has already refunded the full amount to Expedia, and despite emailing Expedia multiple times in the past four days, I haven't received any response. There is no direct contact number or email available on Expedia's website to speak to someone regarding this issue.

I booked a flight on the Expedia website, and it initially said it couldn't be booked, so I tried again. However, all attempts went through, and now I have three confirmed flights. I have been unable to reach customer service despite spending hours on hold. Being abroad, the roaming charges have amounted to hundreds of dollars just trying to contact them. This experience with their service has been extremely frustrating and feels almost criminal.

I made a booking with Expedia for a Qantas round trip. I attempted to modify my booking after completing one leg of the trip. Despite three frustrating calls lasting over an hour each, Expedia failed to respond. Qantas confirmed they could change the outbound trip with minimal charges if done through Expedia. On contacting Expedia again, I had to escalate to a manager to request the change. Originally, I bought the ticket for $[redacted], but Expedia now wants to charge ~$[redacted]. They suggested purchasing a new ticket for $[redacted] instead. I asked for a breakdown via email, but the manager kept me on hold for over 1 hour and 40 minutes without providing any information. As an intermediary, Expedia should have transparent pricing for customers. It has been a disappointing experience as I lost the chance to amend my one-way trip within the permissible time frame. Expedia's refusal to facilitate communication with Qantas via email feels unreasonable and overly money-oriented.

American Airlines has made a last-minute change to our flight #[redacted] from Puerto Vallarta on 2/21, connecting to flight [redacted], which has now become flight [redacted] departing from Dallas at 9 pm and arriving at JFK the following day at 1:29 a.m. I am traveling with my daughter, T.H., and her two children, K.H. and V.H. I am the executrix of Patrick Justin White IV's estate. He passed away on October 11, [redacted], while preparing for a trip to India. He made arrangements with Expedia, but I am unable to access his booking details. I sent a letter with the necessary documents to Expedia Customer Relations in Bellevue, Washington, on November 7, [redacted], but have not received a response. I need to ensure that any funds or benefits from his bookings are included in his estate for the church, the sole beneficiary. If I do not hear back soon, I will need to involve the estate attorney. I reached out to Bill Diller at [redacted], the CEO of Expedia, seeking assistance with my travel booking made on 24/12/[redacted]. I need to attend court in Brisbane, QLD on the 13th of February [redacted] and arranged a flight and hotel itinerary as follows: Vancouver to Brisbane, staying at Hotel Soul in Surfers Paradise, Evolution in Brisbane for one night, then back to Soul in Surfers Paradise before returning to Vancouver on the 29th of February. The total cost with insurance was $3,[redacted] US. Despite ongoing contact with Expedia, I was informed by Becca Cruise that my booking was canceled and I would need to rebook, offering only a $[redacted] voucher towards the increased cost. The lack of follow-up support caused my travel companion to cancel, resulting in my solo travel decision. I respectfully urge Expedia to address this seriously, honor the initial booking cost of $1,[redacted] per person, and provide a satisfactory response. Looking forward to a resolution. Sincerely, Kerri K. [redacted] Bogus

I had booked a weekend trip to Blackpool, but needed to change the dates due to my husband's work schedule. When contacting Expedia to make the change, I was not informed about a £50 cancellation fee. After being charged the fee, the Falcon Hotel in Blackpool also charged me another £50 without a valid reason. Despite numerous calls to Expedia over the past three weeks, I have not received my refund. They claim they cannot reach the hotel to process the refund, and promised a manager would call within 24 hours, which has not happened. I am frustrated by the lack of progress and just want my £[redacted] refund returned to me.

On December 11, [redacted], I attempted to purchase 3 tickets from Amsterdam to Rome for Lo Sie Sen Ricky, Lo Sie Sen Jimmy, and Woon Natatia on Alitalia. After encountering a credit card error during the transaction, I tried again with the same outcome. But reviewing my bank statement yesterday, it showed that both credit card errors totaling $[redacted].70 each were processed. If the tickets were indeed paid for, I would like to cancel them and receive a refund. (We have already purchased tickets from Alitalia on December 12, [redacted].) I am hopeful we can get our money back. Warm regards, Woon Natatia.

On December 11, [redacted], we attempted to purchase three airline tickets from Amsterdam to Rome through Expedia. During the payment process using a credit card, an error message appeared. As we had already purchased tickets from Alitalia on December 12, [redacted], we would like to request a cancellation for the Expedia tickets. The passengers' names are L.S. Ricky, L.S. Jimmy, and W. Natatia. We are hopeful for a refund of the overcharged amount. Thank you, W. Natatia.

I recently booked a trip to Phoenix with Expedia on American Airlines for a vacation. However, due to a family emergency where my brother passed away, I had to cancel the Phoenix flight and rebook to Toledo for his funeral. My Confirmation # for the original booking was RBNSRS. I encountered difficulty with the customer service representatives' communication as they were challenging to understand. Ultimately, I was quoted around $1,[redacted] to rebook to Toledo, but upon receiving the new flight confirmation, I was shocked to see a total of $2,[redacted], which seems excessively high. I suspect language barriers may have contributed to this issue. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to address this before the funeral and urgently need assistance with resolving this matter. Thank you - Raymond R. Email: [redacted] Phone: [redacted]

I encountered issues traveling from Puerto Princesa to Coron as there was no available transportation upon my arrival. Consequently, I had to stay in Puerto Princesa and book new tickets to Cebu. Expedia did not advise me on arranging transport from Puerto Princesa to Coron, leading to confusion. Despite being a repeat customer, I was unaware of the lack of connection. I hope for assistance concerning my journey from Cebu to Coron via Puerto Princesa, as my end destination is Coron. Thank you for your understanding. Thank You, Jovita S.

I made a reservation at the Tampa stadium hotel, but upon arrival, I encountered multiple issues. The hotel room had a broken light, dirty floors, trash and cigarette burns on the ice bucket, and someone else's hair on the bedding and towels. Additionally, the hot tub and soda machines were not working, and there was a German cockroach infestation. When I brought three cockroaches to the front desk, the attendant advised me to contact Expedia for a refund or a room change. I have evidence including pictures and videos of the cockroaches. During my stay, I even found a crack pipe in the pool, which is incredibly concerning. Several other guests have also expressed similar complaints. I am extremely disappointed with the condition of the hotel and would like to know how to proceed to get a refund.
