I booked a night's stay with a hotel affiliated with Expedia called Oyo hotel. When I booked the hotel, it told me it was not necessary to pay at the time, that I would pay at the site. That part was true, I did pay at the site using a Visa debit card. That charge went through. A few days later, ANOTHER charge came through from Expedia. I waited until they both were not pending anymore, and then I contacted Oyo hotel customer service. I was told it was a damage deposit and it would take *-** business days for it to be refunded. I had been told there would be a damage deposit, but on their web site it says it will be refunded within DAYS of check out, pending verification of room conditions. I don't think it takes an entire week for them to check that I did not damage the room. I would call them and they would give me the same excuse each time. So I waited for the ** business days. After the ** business days were up, I contacted them, and I was told the ** business days were not up. At this point I am getting upset, because it's OBVIOUS they are just avoiding the issue. I called them every single day. They got in contact with the hotel and the hotel said they had NOT charged me a damage deposit. Then, they couldn't find the booking. Then, the hotel couldn't find my reservation. Then, they hung up on me. I am getting sick and tired of dealing with these people. They have done nothing but avoid the issue at hand which is that they DOUBLE charged me. I have sent them the proof, I have called them at least ** times, I have emailed them, I have done every possible thing imaginable and still nothing has been resolved in over a month.
