Hello, I am Jimmy B. I selected my desired flights and proceeded to the Secure Booking page. After entering my information, I clicked on Complete Booking. However, Expedia kept loading and returned me to the Secure Booking page. Confused, I clicked on Complete Booking again and received a message to use a different card. Upon checking my bank account, I noticed I was charged twice. I did not receive a confirmation number or an email confirming my booking. I am seeking assistance to cancel the duplicate transaction and receive a refund.

We reserved a hotel room to celebrate a birthday. Upon arrival, the atmosphere seemed pleasant at first. However, as we unloaded our car and headed upstairs, we felt uneasy stepping off the dark and eerie elevator. As we walked to our room, we noticed four men on a balcony above staring at us. Once inside, we noticed the lack of an entry light and a broken door chain, raising red flags about our safety. When we contacted the front desk, the staff member seemed dismissive and refused to move us to another room. As two women, we felt uncomfortable and chose to leave. Despite our concerns, the agent denied us a refund and pressured us to stay. Due to the circumstances, I left feeling unsafe. I am requesting a full refund of $[redacted].08.

I had a reservation at the Hampton Inn in Atlanta - Buckhead on Piedmont Rd for tonight. Unfortunately, we were in a car accident recently, and although everyone is okay, my friend needs time to recover. We are in a tough financial situation and kindly request if there is any possibility for a refund for tonight's reservation. During my recent stay at the Ramada Inn in Arizona, specifically in Tempe near Scottsdale Rd, I encountered a distressing issue. Although I typically book through Expedia and have frequented this hotel, on November 8th, my guest and I were bitten by bed bugs. Despite previous concerns like roaches, odors, and loitering individuals near the property, the bed bug incident was appalling. I spent $[redacted] on this stay, only to have a disappointing response from the front desk citing their inability to address the situation. On 8/27/19, I made a reservation with the Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago for 9/23-9/26 at $[redacted].83. However, my friends thought it was too expensive, so I found the Hotel Inn at Lincoln Park for $[redacted] for the three nights and decided to take the bus there, which is much cheaper. I tried calling the Congress Plaza Hotel immediately to cancel for 2 or 3 days, but was asked to call back later and faced difficulties in cancelling my booking. Despite numerous attempts to cancel, I encountered challenges and was worried about the impact on my credit card and credit score. Being 86 years old and living alone on a fixed income, this unexpected debt is causing me distress. I would appreciate any help in resolving this issue as I never anticipated such a financial burden. I made a room booking at Vagabond Inn in Reno, NV through Expedia on October 19, [redacted]. When I called the hotel to confirm, they claimed no reservation existed. Despite the incorrect credit card details causing delays, I still aimed to cancel to avoid charges. The hotel insisted on confirming the credit card details and proceeded to bill me $20.00 for a reservation fee and $[redacted].00 for the room, totaling $[redacted].00. I want a refund for these charges as I had clearly stated my intention to cancel. The hotel should not have processed the reservation after my cancellation request. After various calls to Expedia and Vagabond, they only initiated the reservation after I confirmed my credit card, swiftly charging me. I now regret confirming my credit card details. I booked a two-night stay through "expedia.com" at an OYO Hotel in New York (Nov 2-3). I intended to stay at the hotel near a subway station but was assigned to a different one far from the station. When I requested to switch hotels upon arrival, the hotel staff mentioned it required "expedia.com" approval. Despite contacting "expedia.com" to explain and request the change, they declined. The hotel agreed to cancel the second night if I stayed the first, as documented during check-out the following day. However, I was charged for the second night, although I did not stay. Both "expedia.com" and OYO Hotel have rigid policies regarding changes and charges for unoccupied nights. I seek a refund for the second-night charges.

I visited the Skyscanner website to book a multi-stop round trip, and was redirected to Expedia.com for payment. Upon confirming the booking, a prompt appeared asking me to sign in to my [redacted] account or complete the booking as a guest. After signing in, a website error occurred, causing my booking to disappear despite the payment going through successfully. I have reached out to Expedia customer service via email but have not received a response in over 24 hours. The booking was made on Monday, 11 November from Prague, Czech Republic, and paid with a South African bank credit card in South African ZAR.

I reserved a compact SUV through Expedia with Dollar Rental at PDX airport. Upon arrival, I accepted an upgrade offered by the agent for a special price. However, after driving the car, I experienced issues with it turning off at each traffic light, making me uncomfortable as a senior in an unfamiliar area. I contacted Dollar's main number, and they arranged for me to exchange the car for the original SUV. After enduring a lengthy 45-minute hold, I spoke with Joey, a supervisor, as I needed to utilize my $[redacted] credit from a prior Delta flight cancellation. Joey placed me on hold for an additional hour to process my request, only to inform me that I would have to pay an extra $[redacted] for the new tickets. I feel my concerns were not adequately addressed for several reasons: 1. The excessive wait times, which cost me money due to the long-distance call charges and wasted my time. 2. The supervisor selected tickets totaling $[redacted], significantly more than the $[redacted] tickets available on the Expedia website, stating those were unavailable. 3. The extended phone wait times and charging me a higher rate for using my credit seemed unfair and dishonest. I intend to withhold using Expedia for future bookings until this matter is resolved. I made a reservation for two rooms at the Double Tree by Hilton Shanghai through Expedia for November 4th to November 10th. Unfortunately, there were flight delays on Emirates airline from Johannesburg to Shanghai via Dubai. This caused us to miss our connecting flight to Shanghai and stay overnight in Dubai, arriving in Shanghai on November 5th instead of the planned November 4th. Upon our late arrival on November 5th, the room reserved for Jiao Li was reassigned to someone else, leading her to find an alternative accommodation. The room was already paid for in full through Expedia, and we kindly request a refund given the circumstances were beyond our control. We can provide the necessary documentation - Itinerary, booking receipt, and booking confirmations - if needed. Your prompt assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Expedia should not work with such companies or should provide customer ratings for transparency. Reading reviews on platforms like Google Maps or Yelp will show similar experiences to mine. It is important for Expedia to avoid associating with scamming companies like Easirent. My encounter involved them mistakenly copying my credit card information, making insurance a requirement, and taking excessive personal details. The staff seemed unprofessional and the process was lengthy. Avoid this place at all costs and consider canceling your credit card afterwards to be safe.

I made a reservation at Sheraton Grand Hotel Dubai for check-in on November 29th and check-out on December 2nd for 3 nights with breakfast for 3 adults. Upon calling the hotel, I was informed that my reservation only showed a one-bedroom apartment, which is not suitable for my needs. When booking online, the listing indicated a triple apartment (1 double bed + 1 single bed) which should actually be a 2-bedroom apartment based on the number of beds. I have requested cancellation from the hotel for the past 2 days, and they have agreed due to the mismatch in accommodations. Both the hotel and I are waiting for Expedia to confirm the cancellation. Please expedite the confirmation of the cancellation.

Hello, my name is Indriatie. I recently made a hotel reservation in China through Traveloka at Holiday Inn. However, I mistakenly booked a hotel in Nanjing City instead of Nanjing Road, Shanghai. I contacted Traveloka to relocate my reservation but they informed me that the hotel denied the request. I'm currently unable to receive emails, please contact me via text at [redacted]. I made a reservation at the Hilton Playa Del Carmen months ago, unaware that half of the resort is under construction. This is my 17th visit to Playa, first time at the Hilton, and I'm extremely disappointed. My husband, recovering from knee surgery, is struggling with the inconvenient walking paths due to closures around the resort. The promised lobby completion by the 16th did not happen, causing excessive noise from construction in our room and by the pool. There have been numerous issues daily, making my stay unbearable. No advance notice of the construction was given, and I feel misled by the lack of information and absence of discounts. The front desk suggested they notified Expedia, and it should have been conveyed to me. With 6 days remaining, I'm requesting a refund due to this unpleasant experience. - Teresa M Luker

I am a dedicated Expedia user with multiple trips booked through them. Recently, I had a hotel reservation (itinerary #[redacted][redacted]) made a while back. Realizing it wasn't in the best location, I checked the itinerary to confirm its refund policy - there was a cancel button with no mention of it being non-refundable. I proceeded to book a different hotel and tried to cancel the original one, only to be informed it was non-cancelable with a $0 refund. After reaching out to Expedia, they attempted to secure a refund from the hotel without success. I believe I should receive a full refund as the itinerary did not indicate it was non-refundable, and there was no warning when I tried to cancel it.

On October 27, [redacted], I made room reservations through Expedia for The Eldorado Hotel in Terlingua, Texas, near Big Bend National Park. One reservation was for myself, Patrick Donahue. Another reservation was for David Gavin, and the last one was for Sophocles Karapas. The Donahue/Gavin reservation had itinerary number [redacted][redacted], and the Karapas reservation had [redacted][redacted]. Donahue/Gavin had single rooms, and Karapas had a double room. Originally, the Donahue/Gavin reservation was for 11/7/19-11/12/19, and the Karapas reservation was for 11/7/19-11/11/19. I used my Amex card for all reservations with the understanding that final payment would be made individually on check-in. However, upon check-in, the hotel claimed that Expedia had already charged the full amount to my Amex. We had to cut our stay short due to inclement weather, and the hotel mentioned that refunds would need to be arranged through Expedia since they had already been paid. We left on the morning of 11/10/19, expecting refunds for the unused nights. I kindly request a refund for two nights for Donahue/Gavin and one night for Karapas to the Amex account used for payment. I purchased tickets with the itinerary New York - Madrid - New York, December 30 - January 8. I received the purchase confirmation with itinerary number [redacted][redacted]. Afterwards, I received a call stating that the bank did not approve the purchase and that the itinerary was Canada - Madrid - Canada. I explained to the caller that this was not the itinerary I bought, and they said the purchase was canceled. I contacted the bank, and they confirmed the purchase was charged to my account with approval number [redacted]. When I checked Expedia again with the provided itinerary number, it did show my reservation for the correct itinerary of New York - Madrid - New York. I want to confirm my purchase under the stated conditions and inquire about any additional fees from the airline or airport, if applicable. If there are any charges, I would like to know the amount and reason for them. I'm reaching out here as I have been unable to contact you by phone. I look forward to your response.

We made a reservation at Knight's Inn in or near East Lansing, Michigan on Grand River Road for the night of 8/28/19. Despite arriving past 2AM, the hotel couldn't find our reservation. It took over an hour to get a room after providing a credit card in case the Expedia booking couldn't be confirmed later. We were exhausted after driving from Chicago. The hotel was being renovated, with furniture and bathroom fixtures strewn about, which was unexpected. Our initial room had no running water, just a few rusty drops before stopping. We got a different room around 4AM. By 7AM, construction workers arrived, and one played loud music from a boombox in the room above us. The rooms above had no glass in the windows, no carpet or furniture, and were open to the parking lot, offering no sound insulation. Despite requests to lower the volume, the music persisted. I was assured the Expedia charge would be voided, but I was still charged $66.10. I couldn't sleep due to the construction noise and conditions. I am seeking a refund as promised before I left Knight's Inn.
