On **.*.** I received an email from Expedia informing me that I had **,*** points worth £***.***On **.*.** I booked a stay at Arthur’s Court Motor Lodge in Christchurch New Zealand (Itinerary **************) *th – *th Feb ****. I expected the **,*** points to be used for this booking but only **,*** were taken (exactly half of **,***) which reduced the cost from £***.** to £***.**.*I then searched for another hotel for **-** Feb **** and found the Airport Gateway Motor Lodge in Christchurch which was available for £*. I assumed that the £* was because of the **,*** points I still had available from my account. I booked this hotel (Itinerary **************) assuming that as £* had been quoted the remaining points would cover the cost.*I made one further booking at the same time. This was for the Travelodge Hotel Sydney Airport for *-* Feb **** (Itinerary * *************). This hotel was also quoted as £* and I made the same assumption that the remaining points would cover the cost.*I have just received my credit card statement which shows that I have been charged £***.** for the Arthur’s Court Motor Lodge which is correct as the **,*** points reduced the cost from £***.** to £***.**.*However, I have also been charged £**.** for the Airport Gateway Motor Lodge and £***.** for the Travelodge Hotel Sydney Airport. No points have been taken for either of these two stays despite the £* quoted at the time for both of these bookings.*When I returned to look at my Expedia Account, I find that I have no points left in it. The remaining **,*** points have clearly been deducted but not applied to either the booking at Arthur’s Court Motor Lodge or the booking at the Travelodge Hotel Sydney Airport.
