Hello, I recently made a booking through you, and the owners of the property have requested additional payment for cleaning and local taxes. Despite providing proof of payment through Expedia, they insist on the extra charges. I need assistance in clarifying this matter with the owners before my arrival tomorrow to ensure I receive the key code for the apartment promptly. The booking details are as follows: Accommodation: Al Redentore di Venezia Apartments, Venice Original Booking Date: November 18, [redacted] Stay Dates: May 29-31, [redacted] Total Paid: £[redacted].14 (inclusive of taxes and fees) I have all relevant email correspondence documenting the payment made through Expedia. Please contact the owners to confirm that the additional charges are not required. Your prompt attention to this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, H.L.

Hello, My three friends and I recently spent a night at Aizawa Beach Resort in Camotes Island, Cebu. We checked in on May 25 and out on May 26 with two family rooms booked under Leonora Pacobo's credit card for a total of P6,[redacted].98. The stay did not go as expected, and we encountered several issues that were very disappointing. During power outages, there was no working generator at the resort, so we faced interruptions with no power or water supply. Additionally, there was no cable connection in any of the rooms, rendering the TV remote controls useless. The promised internet connection was also nonexistent. The mix-up with our room reservations further added to our dissatisfaction as we only received one family room and one deluxe room. We urge you to investigate these concerns as we did not receive the amenities we paid for through Expedia. I will be filing a formal complaint with the DTI of Cebu regarding our experience. We hope that Expedia will take action to resolve these issues and reconsider affiliating with Aizawa Beach Resort. Thank you for your attention to this matter. A. Marquez

I have a Hotels.com account through Expedia.com. I collect reward points for free stays when booking through my account. On a recent vacation, I booked two hotel stays on my mobile and mistakenly used an email not registered with Hotels.com. However, I paid with my Discover card linked to my account. After speaking with customer service via chat with Charles L., I was told I couldn't earn points because of the email error. I've been a loyal customer for a year and find this policy unfair.

When I booked a room online, it indicated that there were six available rooms at the property. After a long and emotional family event, I just wanted to relax and rest. Upon arrival at Motel 6 South in Billings, MT, I encountered a rude staff member who informed me that my reservation had been canceled. Despite the online availability, she claimed all rooms were dirty and unavailable. This was shocking and disappointing. I explained that I had already paid for the room, but she showed no concern. I reached out to customer service for assistance, but unfortunately, I have yet to receive my refund. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - Justine G.

Hello, I made a booking for a flight from Auckland to Cardiff on 1st July [redacted] with Qatar Airways for me and my partner. The total amount shown during booking was $1,[redacted].80 ($[redacted].90 per person) with baggage included, as confirmed in the booking email I received. However, on 4th June, Qatar Airways charged my account twice for £[redacted].33 each, totaling £1,[redacted].66, which is not the correct currency conversion rate as it should be $1,[redacted].80 in NZ dollars. I have been unable to reach anyone through the provided phone numbers. My itinerary number is [redacted][redacted], and my name is Phoebe G. I would appreciate prompt assistance in resolving this overcharge issue.

Recent reports have revealed issues with Hongkong Airline (HKA) planes losing parts in flight, raising concerns for future passengers. I am scheduled to fly from Manila to Hong Kong to Vancouver on 17-July-[redacted] and this news has made me anxious about the safety of my upcoming flight. I have been trying to contact Expedia's customer service to cancel my booking and request a full refund so I can make alternative travel arrangements, but all the numbers listed online seem to be out of service or constantly busy. I'm currently pregnant with twins and unfortunately fell ill during our flight. After seeking medical attention at Med Express and the ER during our trip, my spouse and I have decided to drive back home early instead of flying. We have successfully canceled our flight but now need to cancel one day of our resort stay as well.

I am currently at the airport in Iceland dealing with a missed flight due to an error on Expedia's end. This is the second time such an incident has occurred with bookings through Expedia, which is frustrating. I have already spent close to two hours on the phone trying to resolve the issue, and my time is valuable given that I make $30 per hour at my job. While I understand that the situation cannot be undone, I believe that compensation in the form of 12,[redacted] points on my account would be appropriate to acknowledge the time and inconvenience this has caused me. Online booking is meant to be convenient, and this experience has been the opposite of that. I hope that a resolution can be reached that reflects the time and effort I have had to put into correcting this situation.

On April 29, I made a booking on Expedia for a Private Favourite Food Tour with 10 Tastings in Venice. It was confirmed, and I received a voucher for the tour on May 25 at 2:00 pm. Arriving at the meeting place, Campo de Manin near the statue of Manin with Sharron on May 25 at 1:30 pm, we waited for an hour with no tour guide or other tourists present. Upon checking the address, [redacted] Campo Manin, I found out it was a hotel and the staff there had no information about the tour.

On May 17-19, I had a disappointing experience at the Benton Harbor Travelodge, seeking a refund of $[redacted].88 (Itinerary # [redacted][redacted]). Despite a friendly desk clerk, the presence of feral cats, a person napping in a car, and a littered property made me uneasy. Upon entering the room, cleanliness issues arose; the toilet was unflushed, there were soiled linens, and overall, the bathroom was unkempt. Initially contacting AARP Expedia for assistance due to booking through their site, I encountered unhelpfulness from the hotel staff, who disputed a refund citing my supposed prolonged stay. Ultimately, feeling too exhausted to continue the discussion, I left for another hotel. Subsequently, I have reached out to AARP Expedia and Travelodge regarding my subpar stay, advocating for the removal of this location from AARP's recommended list. - M. G.

I attempted to change my reservation twice through Expedia contacting YHA London Central. However, without any responses, I decided to email YHA London directly. I provided Caroline with detailed information and screenshots but encountered difficulties making the changes on the Expedia account. Despite following up three times with Caroline, I faced issues at check-in since my reservation was not altered as requested. Seeking a refund, I corresponded with Chiara, who mentioned speaking to Expedia about the problem. Unfortunately, Expedia was unable to assist because they considered it a hostel issue. Feeling misled, I have contacted YHA multiple times without a resolution. I am looking to get a refund as there seems to be a discrepancy between the charges from Expedia and the actual payment process.

Hello, I recently stayed at Alysseo Backpacker Hotel in Puerto Princesa, Philippines. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that the room did not have air conditioning, only electric fans. I had booked through Expedia, where it was listed as air-conditioned. When I inquired at the reception, they requested an additional fee of P2400.00 or $46.37 for air conditioning. I calculated that this was more than expected, considering the total in Philippine pesos and dollars. To have air conditioning, I paid an extra P2000.00 or $38.65. I have expressed my concerns to Expedia. The food at the hotel was pricey, with limited choices like pasta and pizza, which was unexpected coming from the USA. Additionally, some staff at the front desk were not dressed appropriately. I am disappointed by my experience at Alysseo Backpacker Hotel as it did not meet my expectations. Despite being Filipino, I must share my feedback. I have also recently enjoyed a stay at a hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia, which I highly recommend. The contrast in experiences is striking. I have advised my friend, Priscilla Sanchez, to stay at the Cambodian hotel. I kindly request assistance in resolving the concerns I encountered at Alysseo Backpacker Hotel. Thank you.

Regarding Itinerary [redacted][redacted], I am writing to address the recent schedule change by Turkish Airlines for my flight from Istanbul to Khartoum on July 29th, [redacted]. This adjustment resulted in a 15-minute reduction in transfer time, making it challenging to reach the connecting gate upon arrival from Billund. I have consulted with Turkish Airlines, and they informed me that changes could be made at no additional cost through my booking agency. After reviewing available options, the most feasible route seems to be a Khartoum-Copenhagen-Khartoum itinerary instead of the original Khartoum-Billund-Khartoum route. I kindly request to modify my ticket accordingly for departure on Friday, June 28th, [redacted], with the return on July 28th, [redacted]. Your prompt support in this matter is greatly appreciated. Best regards, Bent E Korsgaard.

I have a reservation for two rooms at the Holiday Inn Express, London on Sunday 23rd June. The booking numbers for the rooms are [redacted]. Unfortunately, one of our guests, Mr. Rigby, has unexpectedly fallen ill and is undergoing surgery today. Given the circumstances, I kindly request a refund for one of the rooms. I understand that the booking is non-refundable, but I believe that informing you in advance gives the hotel an opportunity to rebook the room, especially during a busy time due to the Wembley concert. I appreciate your understanding and hope that you can make an exception in this situation. Thank you for your consideration. - Rita A.

When I arrived at the hotel, there was a power outage, and they cancelled my reservation despite prepayment through Expedia. The hotel later confirmed in an email that they did not charge me. I contacted Expedia, who put me on hold to speak with the hotel. After some time, the representative mentioned a "15% discount" on a bill I never received. I clarified with the email evidence of no charges from the hotel. Expedia asked me to forward the email, which I promptly did. Unfortunately, it has been a week, and I have not received any response yet.
