The issue in GetHuman-bwodonal's own words
We were in Ireland from Dec ** - Jan *. Reserved a car rental through Expedia with Hertz & paid the $*** collision protection fee at checkout when ordered. In Dublin, on Dec **th, the gentleman at Hertz did not honor the rental price nor the amount for collision protection. I was very upset, but was already late and had to accept what he offered at the counter. I booked a car through another rental service, Europcar, but I was not able to pick-up until Dec **. I ended up paying Hertz for * days on the first car at a total cost of $***! That included collision protection so my initial $*** investment was wasted along with paying more than $**.** more per day than I was quoted originally (reference itinerary **************). While we deserve a full refund of $***.** (******.*****.**), I understand Expedia may not have control over what I was charged in Dublin by Hertz. I respectfully request a refund of my original $*** for collision protection since I had to pay Hertz directly for the * days I had their car.
GetHuman-bwodonal did not yet indicate what Expedia should do to make this right.
