Hello sir*ma'am**Please refer to Itinerary * *************. I was advised by Jetstar that my plane has been cancelled on the **.***** and I called up Expedia to advise about it to modify the dates of the above mentioned pre-paid car rental as I will not be able to reach Christchurch on ******** due to my flight cancellation.**First I spoke to Carlos who told me that the booking cannot be modified but only cancelled. He gave quote to make a new booking but the cost of that was more than double of my current booking. When I asked him if he could help in talking to the car rental and requesting to hold the car for me for * days as the airlines has told me that the next earliest flight to Chrstchurch is on ***** which I will be taking and reaching there on **.**. He said he was unable to do that. I then suggested that I could talk to the car rental company myself and request them as the flight cancellation was out of my control and after that call I will call back Expedia.**I called up the car rental and they were unable to modify the dates of my reservation or help in any other way. They told me to go back to Expedia to cancel the reservation.**The second time I called Expedia, I spoke to Roger who advised me that the cancellation will cost me USD ***. I asked him to talk to the rental company and say that I am forced to cancel the reservation due to flight cancellation which is not in my control and since they are not able to hold the car for me or change the dates of the my reservation they should not charge me any cancellation fee.**Roger said he was not able to help and transferred me to Anna, his supervisor. I repeated the whole case to her. She cancelled the insurance of USD *** and processed the refund for that but did not cancel my car rental. She said that she will escalate my case and gave me a case * E-********. Before completing the call I wanted her to tell me what action will she be taking but she would not commit to anything at all and I was under the impression that my reservation has been cancelled (since the insurance has been cancelled) and that I will be charged USD *** cancellation charges and the case has been opened to dispute that charge,**I called back on ******** to find out about the status of the case and I was attended to by Natasha who transferred my call to her supervisor Angle who told me that my reservation was never cancelled and that I will not get any refund at all. He also told me that I am deemed as a no-show when it is still ***** and not ***** when I was supposed to pick up the car. That just shows that your supervisors are not even interested in reading up the case notes for which I was made to wait long on hold.**I am absolutely shocked and disgusted with the terrible standards of the customer service given to me where even a simple request has not been followed and now I am staring at a huge loss of USD ***.** car rental charges in spite of my proactive approach of calling Expedia as soon as I received the information of my flight cancellation.**I want you to look into this case at the earliest and not only give my full refund back but also take strict action against your employees who are incompetent and not deserving to be in customer services.**Please come back to me with a resolution ASAP.**I have all the documentation required to show the flight cancellation and can provide to you for corroboration.**Thank you**Ruby (Harpreet) Jauhar
