Dear Sirs,**Re: Complaint and Request for Return of Monies Paid**We booked a stay at the Seacliff Hotel Dar Es Salaam through you earlier this year, referenced above with confirmation of booking received from you below.**When we arrived in Dar the Seacliff hotel had no record of the reservation, so the first night we had to stay in a small courtyard room as a favour whilst the Hotel located our booking. It caused us disappointed expectation and distress and we lost a half day of our holiday trying to sort out the mess you caused through your negligence the next day.**The Hotel Management kindly allowed us to stay there for our booked dates when we showed them written confirmation of booking that we received from you.**However, w understand that you have failed to pass on the £****.** that we paid to you to the Seacliff Hotel in Dar Es Salaam. Needless to say this is unlawful and we hereby request you release to the hotel the £****.** that we paid to you forthwith, or return it to us and we will pay the hotel.**I understand from the hotel when we spoke with them last week that you claim to have paid a hotel with the same name, “Seacliff”, but a hotel in Zanzibar. Whether this is true is in any event irrelevant as our contract with you was to stay in the Dar Es Salaam Seacliff, as evidenced below. You agreed, inter alia, to pay to the hotel the money for our stay.**The Seacliff Hotel Dar Es Salaam that we booked with you, however you have failed to pay. *Consequently, and not unreasonably, the Hotel we booked is now looking to us for payment as you have failed to pay them the money we paid you, £****.** as above mentioned and below acknowledged by you, and which failure amounts to fraudulent conversion.**I subscribe to the view with large organisations that events like this are more likely to be **** up than conspiracy, so I suspect you have simply been negligent and not dishonest: well, I sincerely hope so anyway.**Nevertheless, it is about time you sorted out this mess before we are blacklisted by the hotel and sued by them.
