I wanted a hotel that included my breakfast meals for budget purposes. ... When i searched this trip,I selected a filter to include all hotels that included free breakfast. I settled on Hyatt Regency, and I selected an ocean view room with breakfast included. Initially, when you book the room that info was listed but when I printed out the itinerary, it's not listed. I called expedia * days ago, they told me I was all set. I arrived at the hotel and they are telling me breakfast is not included. I need this resolved because i did not budget to pay for every single meal because breakfast was supposed to be included. I need this fixed.
This is especially frustrating because I researched this information before hand, and I also called Expedia before I left the country to confirm everything was set with the hotel. This is a headache, especially when you are far away from home. Additionally, this trip was a graduation gift from someone do I should be able to just enjoy myself and not habe to waste time trying to resolve something that should NOT have occurred to begin with.
The most obvious thing Expedia could do to make this right would be to contact the hotel and correct this issue immediately and by offering me maybe a partial refund on my room for the day I've wasted trying to resolve this, or offering me free hotel spa services, or even future expedia credits to my account.
I have been a expedia member for years so I expected to be able to trust the information that that was provided prior to booking. It shouldn't be different after I book and arrive at the location. This is inconvenient and frustrating to say the least.
I have spoken to a hotel manager who referred me directly to expedia since the information they received comes directly from expedia.
