My name is Bev Maybee, I had booked a reservation for August *rd at the Tobermory Resort (Expedia **************). My husband, his elderly parents (who we were traveling with) and I arrived at this 'resort' at approximately *:** p.m. to find it in such BAD condition...it's totally under renovation...it's not safe!!!! There was no one there, I contacted 'Carla' who stated that a room could be ready at * p.m. after a lengthy discussion with Carla about what our accommodations consisted ie: second floor, about ** steps (up outside), we opt out of taking the 'room' as there was no way that our parents were able to climb the steps. Carla assured that our reservation for that night would be cancelled, and asked if we wanted to book for the next night... NOT A CHANCE. I have emailed Expedia several times regarding the condition of the this 'resort', and have submitted (an honest, unfavourable) survey. *I want to remind Expedia Customer Service (whoever sent me the initial emails) that this place was not honouring our reservations because the place is closed. In the email Expedia's Representative stated that our payment of $***.** will be refunded.*We DID NOT stay at this 'resort' because of unsafe safe conditions - *I am sure that you must have had many, MANY complaints about reservations for this place not being 'open' to accommodate people.**Please refund my $***.**, this would be greatly appreciated.
