Help with my Eversource issue
The issue in GetHuman669816's own words
To whom it may concern:*Power Line Pole Number **** near **** Route **, Guilford, Ct.*During the high wind storm on March *nd & *rd, ****, the top of the pine tree (that is on State property near power line pole No ****) fell on the power lines and broke off the top of the power line pole bring the lines down. The weight of the pine tree trunk trapped the power lines underneath it. *The crew from the tree removal company (Aspund) indicated that they needed to pull their bucket truck upon my lawn to safely get access to the remove the pine tree trunk from the lines to help free up the tension in the power lines. They were concerned with safety of the crew. They indicated that if the bucket truck was on Route **, that when trying to remove the tree trunk from the lines, that the lines would act as a sling shot shooting pieces of the tree trunk across Route **. The crew indicated that they would clean up the damaged lawn and debris. *Small pieces of the limbs from the pine tree trunk were left on my lawn and subsequently shredded by personnel from the town of Guilford DOT on the *th of April. The personnel indicated that they were not responsible for removing the large pieces of the pine tree trunk and the broken piece of the top of the power line pole that was left on our property after the power lines were freed up. The top of the power line pole was repaired by Eversource, however, they did not remove the top of the power line pole that was broken by the tree fall. The Guilford DOT crew supervisor thought that the CT State DOT would be responsible for removing the remaining pine tree trunk pieces and the broken power pole pieces from my property.*I contacted Eversource by e-mail (I believe the week of the *rd of April) on their website concerning this situation. Eversource sent a representative from Norwich, Ct. to review this issue. I was home during morning that an Eversource representative left a yellow card on my door (April **th ****) with a box checked that indicated that the homeowner was responsible for removing fallen trees on their property. Nothing was indicated about the broken power line pole piece. The Eversource representative did not ring our doorbell or attempt to contact me to discuss this situation. I would like to have this issue resolved as soon as possible (see attached photographs).*Eversource (Aspund) bucket truck left deep groves (ruts) in my lawn after repairing the power lines. I have had the deep ruts in my lawn repaired and the grass reseeded. *I strongly recommend that the pine tree with the broken tree trunk, which is on state property, be removed. I believe that the condition of the pine tree is a safety hazard. There is a limb that overhangs the Ct ** state road that will eventually fall down during the next storm * high windy condition which could cause injury to travelling motorist on this state road.*Kind Regards,*James B. Johnson***** Route ***Guilford, Ct *****-********-***-****
