My partner and I took a trip to Marseille, FR. The location was understaffed and unorganized. We arrived on September *, **** with a reservation to pick up the vehicle at ** AM and were waiting until **:** AM. Upon receiving the the vehicle it was damaged (broken seat belt and scratches along the side). I spoke to the parking lot tenant and she spoke with the employee at the desk, and CONFIRMED that there was a note made on the account to prevent issues upon Check-In and that we were able to take the car off the lot. I believe that I am the target of the consequences of an unorganized, lack of employee performance. I understand that this is hearsay but as a customer I executed every preventative measure for the pre-existing damaged that we are being held responsible for damages we did not incur. *Upon leaving our balance was confirmed to be $*. * I would hope to be relieved of the wrongful accusations of applied damages: reversal of the surcharge damage amount: ****.** EUR. We are being held accountable for an incident we did not commit for a large sum, which has put us in financial distress. **Please assist us in seeking resolution of this wrongful accusation.
