Reservation Number ************I have just returned home from the USA after completing a rental through you, with your agents Advantage at San Francisco Airport.**Apart from a thoroughly unpleasant 'hard-sell' during which the agent there told blatant lies about the need for pre-paying for electronic tolls, I would like to complain about underhand practices resulting in overcharging.**I repeatedly and forcefully declined all extras offered, including 'recovery services', as I have other insurances that would at least partially cover this aspect.**Following a no-fault accident (I was rear-ended!) as I was leaving San Francisco on **nd September, I was required (because I had declined the 'Recovery Option') to return the vehicle to the airport depot on the other side of the City for exchange.* *There being no similar vehicle available I had to accept a Mitsubishi Outlander that had significantly less space for luggage. Having been delayed by many hours because of the accident and consideration of unsuitable vehicles, in order to leave, I then had to interupt the agent to request a revised rental agreement to carry in the new vehicle. This had been pre-completed and was handed over while the agent continued with selling ancilliary services to another customer.**At the end of the hire period, I have received an invoice and bill that includes the Recovery Service that I declined at the initial collection!* *Upon inspection I found that this had been added to the agreement when I collected the replacement vehicle. The original agreement with my signatures was taken from me by the rental agent, and I assumed (foolishly!) that the continuation agreement with the new vehicle details would be identical. *Crucially, there is no signature from me accepting the RSP (roaside service plan) and yet $***.** representing the FULL **days has been added to the agreement.**Firstly I would like you to take note of the sharp practices employed by Advantage.**Secondly I would like to see the excess $***.** * £***.** returned to my account.**I made considerable efforts to pay you correctly when an error in MY favour occured in Australia, I hope you will be as dilligent in securing me this refund.**Yours faithfully,** John McCormick **********PS I tried using your website emailing system and this repeatedly failed.
