My mother ordered 9 books on August 31 but has yet to receive them. While she did receive a refund check for some unavailable books, it was sent to her old address at [redacted] Market Street, Apt [redacted], Fort Kent, ME [redacted] instead of her current address at 28 Kendall Lane, Raymond, NH [redacted]. The post office returned the undelivered package to the company after more than 6 months. I attempted to seek information via the chat service without success, finding it frustrating having to pay $1 and provide a credit card number. Despite repeated requests, I was unable to obtain a direct phone number for assistance. I even provided the book's blue box number to aid the investigation. The lack of helpful responses from the chat service suggests inefficiency. Is there any way to reclaim the funds for the returned items?

I encountered two issues with my recent order from Edward R Hamilton Book Club. Firstly, upon receiving my package this morning, I found that there was a discrepancy in my order. I ordered 8 books, but only received 7 of them. Additionally, an extra book, "The Complete Guide to Stonescaping," was included in my shipment, which I did not request. The missing book is "One Good Deed" by Baldacci with the Batch No. [redacted]3. I kindly request to be sent the missing book and to know how to proceed with the book I did not order. Secondly, I unintentionally placed a duplicate order after forgetting that I had already ordered the books. I mailed the second order form on Saturday, Oct 10, but upon receiving the original order today, I realized the error. I would appreciate it if the redundant order could be intercepted, my check returned, and the missing book included in the initial shipment. I am completing your order form and noticed that the tax rate for your zip code, 37[redacted] in Tennessee, is correctly listed as 9.75%. However, at the bottom of the page, it indicates that an additional tax of 8.5% is due if shipping to Tennessee (totaling 18.25%). The total purchase amount is $56.66. Please advise on the sales tax amount that should be included.

I recently received correspondence from Edward R. Hamilton Bookseller regarding an uncashed $5.95 check issued to Frances Majdic. Frances, also known as Franci, is my aunt, and I am the beneficiary receiving her mail at my address. Kindly re-issue the check to me, Linda Walker, or to the Frances S. Majdic Trust. I previously inquired about the status of my order via email and have not yet received a response. While I understand it's a busy holiday season, a month seems excessively long to wait for an order. I have been a customer since the 1970s and have never experienced such delays. I regularly order from various book companies without issues. If you are unable to fulfill my order promptly, please inform me so I can make alternative arrangements. I kindly request an update on the status of my order and when I can expect to receive it. Hello everyone, I recently received my most recent book order, but I only received 8 out of the 9 books that were supposed to be in the shipment. The missing book is "Pharaoh Key" by Preston & Child. In a prior order, I also had a missing book. I have enclosed a copy of the shipment document indicating the missing book in that order as well. I didn't keep a personal copy because I didn't anticipate this issue happening again. If you have any doubts about the validity of my claims, please let me know, and we may need to reconsider our ongoing business relationship. On 11/06/[redacted], we bought the book "GRANT" by Ron Chernow, published in [redacted]. Upon reading, we noticed missing pages in the text. The book goes from the first page to page [redacted], then jumps back to page [redacted] before continuing to the second page [redacted]. It then skips to page [redacted], missing pages [redacted] to [redacted]. We are seeking resolution for this issue as we believe we received a faulty product. We are requesting a complete and readable version of the book "GRANT" or a refund.

Hello, my son, who is incarcerated, sent a check of almost $38 to Edward R. Hamilton Booksellers to purchase 2 books for me. Despite reaching out to their help desk two days ago with no response, the books have not arrived at my address. He placed the order under the name CYates or Chris Yates using the mailing address: C.Yates # [redacted]0, P.O Box [redacted], Otisville FCI, Otisville, New York [redacted]. I received a refunded check for one book, but the other 2 books he ordered have not been delivered yet. I sent an order for 6 books to P.O. Box 15, Falls Village, Connecticut, on May 5th. The package included 2 Berenstain Bears books, 1 regular book, and 1 sticker book, 1 bedtime stories for children book, 1 titled "The Land of Painted Caves," 1 dinosaur sticker book, and 1 book about hummingbirds. My son, Jason Achurra, is currently incarcerated at Stafford Creek Corrections in Aberdeen, WA. A detainee at Uintah County Jail in Utah ordered a book titled "Journey of Souls," with the payment deducted from his account. Unfortunately, before he received the book, he was moved to another correctional facility in Utah. He would prefer to receive the book instead of a refund. I recently received a notification stating that I had underpaid for my order by $[redacted].47. This includes a payment of $[redacted].35. The check #[redacted] for $[redacted].37 was deposited into the bank account provided by you. I also included two refund checks that you issued, alongside my personal check. The amounts of the two refund checks elude me at the moment, but I believe you have a record of my last three checks. Please note that the last check you sent to me, #[redacted], is not among the two checks I returned. It was the two checks preceding that one. I am aware that I am 84 years old and may have made an error. I sincerely apologize for any confusion on my part regarding my orders. It seems there might have been a mix-up with another customer's payment due to the significant disparity between the amount mentioned and the sum of my check, coupled with the two refund checks enclosed. I sent a book order to Edward R. Hamilton Bookseller Company on October 23rd. According to them, 6 items were shipped on October 29th, and they have cashed my payment check. It is now November 16th, and the books have not arrived yet. I understand delays happen, but I believe it has been long enough. I placed an order on 13 December [redacted] with Edward R. Hamilton Bookseller Co. for two books, "Swamp Fox: Francis Marion" and "Rifleman." Unfortunately, only one book arrived, and the other, "Rifleman," was noted as out of stock with a promised refund check. Despite multiple letters sent to the company, I have not yet received the missing book or the refund as stated. The responses received, one mentioning a delay until after 2/28/22 and another with a tracer copy for the shipped book, have left me frustrated. It is now mid-March, and the unresolved issue is causing inconvenience. I hope to either receive the book I ordered or the due refund promptly.

On March 17, [redacted], I mailed an order for three books to my great-grandson's address. I included a check No. [redacted] for $23.16. I later received refund check No. [redacted] on April 8 for $19.10 because the books were returned due to an incorrect address provided on the mailing label. I had included the correct address on the order I sent, so I propose the following resolution: endorsing and returning the refund check, resending the books with the correct address (Quinn Hewett, [redacted] Glen Eagles Drive, Summerville, SC [redacted]), having the company assume the postage charge since it was their error, and sending a copy of my original order along with the refund check if the proposal is accepted. Ellen suggested I speak with a shipping expert, but only after providing my credit card details for a service fee. I'm frustrated by this request and feel it's unreasonable.
