We were a bit late for check in but there were still people in front of us still to check in too. Also going to Luton. When it was our turn we checked in but were told to take our suitcase to the gate. Of course we complied however not thinking about security, and the line ups there. We were told to put the suitcase on the conveyer belt, then she came and told us no liquids or jells over ***mls. Off came the suitcase and we had to go through it to remove any items, we had to throw away a good number of items from our toiletry bags, also * bottles of gin my sister had purchased in town. * To crown it all we had to line up again, this basically took around ** minutes all told. Finally got through, ran all the way to find the gate and it had already closed.*I thought I could change our flight to another time but because it looked as if we had missed it we didn’t get that option. Ended up flying back with Jet*.com for an Additional *** euros. While I realise we were rather late if he hadn’t checked us in we could have changed our flight to the next day. Surely he was aware that the suitcase would have to be screened. We were very upset.
