My flight ****, on the **th of December, from Palma to Gatwick was cancelled. The plane took off but was immediately forced to return to Palma due to engine failure. I have tired to make a claim with very little help or concern from your staff. I am extremely disappointed with the service as I was travelling with my * month old baby for the first time. We were stuck in the airport for over ** hours. Once we had returned to Palma, we had to wait over an hour and a half to get our pram back, our son was so distressed because of this, he was screaming and going red in the face because we didn't have our pram for him to be comfortable in. There was not enough staff on hand to deal with this situation. There was a massive lack of communication between the Easy jet staff and their customers, we didn't find out what had happened or what we needed to do for over an hour and a half* which is even worse when you have a * month old baby travelling with you that is distressed. Once the information desk received the information that the flight had been cancelled, me and my partner were promptly told to go to the customer service desk to get on a later *pm flight. However it was suggested to us, despite "families with children being a priority", that one of us collect our luggage and the other should go to the customer service desk. It was quite apparent to me and my partner that it was actually first come, first serve when trying to get tickets for the later flight. Only through the kindness of strangers letting us go to the front of the queue were we able to get on the later flight that had limited spaces left. As a family travelling with a * month old infant, we felt massively overlooked by your staff, due to this negligence our baby suffered a traumatic time travelling and as an extension so did we. I am extremely disappointed with the service provided and want to claim compensation. This flight was supposed to be an amazing beginning to our Christmas holiday with family* instead it was a disaster that left our baby traumatised by the whole event. I have been a loyal customer with Easy Jet for some years now, frequently flying and generally being happy with the service. However I will not be silent about this experience that ruined my holiday and distressed my family. I am going forward with this claim and would like compensation for my family and the distress they experienced.
