It took an hour to get food from literally ** minutes away. It was frustrating enough, but I asked the delivery driver when the order gets placed at the restaurant (Buono Beef in this situation), because of she placed the order it would at least be fresh. She told me that it gets placed worth the restaurant after I place the initial order. This was even more disappointing as that meant the food was sitting for almost an hour before getting here. This made one of my favorite dinners unenjoyable. I almost cancelled the order twice and I wish I would have followed my instinct as I could have went there and back in half the time and had fresh food. I wanted to try something different so I gave this a chance but I doubt I would do so again. I don’t blame the driver but I think the system is dumb. Placing an order and not having anyone available to pick it up is leaving orders to get cold and soggy. The orders should be placed once a driver is confirmed in the area. This was not logistical. She said that another driver denied the delivery. So she is either lying to keep a good rating or she is telling the truth. If this is what happened, it would explain the unnecessary waiting time but then there should have been a communication as to such. I probably would have backed out right then and there. I don’t know what I expected like i said this was something new for me, but I don’t think this makes sense nor do I plan to try it again. We ended up hungry, disappointed and frustrated.
