I was excited to see that ordering was available through the chipotle website so I placed an order for delivery through it on August **, ****. I received my order only to realize it wasn’t my order but another person’s named Sarah. I called my DoorDash delivery driver Hamse back at *** (***) ***-*****, explained what happened, and asked for him to please go and get my order. He kept telling me the restaurant wasn’t going to do anything and that he didn’t know why this was his fault and kept pushing for me to just eat the food that he had brought me. It was a steak and chicken bowl even though I ordered vegetarian. He continued to argue with me, and I really mean argue like couldn’t fathom why I would even want my correct order that I paid for, until I had to call chipotle to confirm that my food was there so that I could convince him to go and get my correct order. I called him back and he came and picked up the other person’s order to return it and get mine. I thanked him and he told me he would be back. He never came back. I attempted to contact him from the phone number but was told that it was no longer in service. I called chipotle again only to be told that they were sorry but this wasn’t their fault and there was nothing that they could do. I was then told that they couldn’t offer me a refund over the phone so I had to go into the restaurant or get it through DoorDash. They didn’t offer any other sort of solution and did not seem sorry or understanding, they just kept saying that it wasn’t their fault and they couldn’t do anything. I felt that I was a burden and should just hang up because there was no way I was going to get help. This is hands down the worst experience I have ever had and honesty can’t even believe it happened. I am beyond furious and can’t even fathom that there isn’t a convenient solution for me. I ordered for a reason, I do not have a car, I can’t get to the restaurant, I would have to pay for a ride to go get a refund for food I never received. I’m an understanding person who works in customer service so I have a lot of patience for these situations but this is absolutely ridiculous. I placed the order online but my card can’t be refunded unless it is there physically in person even though it never was in the first place? You’ve got to be kidding me. That makes no sense and yet apparently it’s nobody’s fault that I never got my food. This is not the first negative experience I’ve had with DoorDash and I am getting to the end of my patience for this service. Please let me know what I can do to get my refund. Thank you.
