The issue in GetHuman-jaystrai's own words
At approximately *:**pm on August **, I had a delivery from Banana King restaurant to customer Ariel. I arrived at her residence and rang the bell twice. I called once when she didn’t answer the bell and she didn’t answer the phone. I then went to the help menu on door dash, clicked the “customer unavailable” option where it showed me a * MINUTE countdown. As I was waiting for the timer to finish, I proceeded to call and text the customer who still didn’t answer. After the timer finished, the door dash app directed me to discard the food and it also let me know that I would be fully compensated for the trip. Approximately ** minutes later as I was on my way to the hotspot, I received a call from a very angry door dash employee who asked me for the status of the order that I was assigned to. As I was trying to explain the situation that the customer never showed up or contacted me, he cut me off and told me that I wasn’t supposed to leave until ** MINUTES was up. I explained to him that I was unaware that I had to wait ** minutes as the app only showed that I had to wait * MINUTES. He then said that I was going to be reported and hung up the phone before I could respond.
