I placed an order to Teriyaki Planet through Door Dash at ****. Order went through quite quickly, and I was able to track it. ** minutes later, I was called by the dasher and said they had a complication with the order. No problem. Suggested I could place the order again or cancel the order and get a refund. I opted for the refund. I tried cancelling the order and doordash online told me that I could not as the order was at the restaurant. I spoke with the dasher for a few hours trying to figure out how to cancel the order. Neither of us knew an honest way to fix the situation. He couldn't do anything because the app told him I was replacing the order. I couldn't do anything as the app told me that the order was at the restaurant. I tried calling the restaurant, but by that time, they were closed. I tried calling Doordash at their CS number (***)***-****, and sat there, while attempting to get a chat session connected for nearly * hours with no contact at all. No chat connected with any agent, and no phone picked up for * hours. Eventually, I got an email about **** that said that my order was cancelled and I should be fully refunded within *-* days. Then I received a text message from Doordash stating my order had to be cancelled due to an unexpected restaurant closure.**The issue at hand isn't that the order was cancelled. It isn't that the dasher was rude or poorly-trained*motivated. He tried so hard, ran out of ideas, I tried ideas, nothing worked. The issue at hand is simply that there is no customer service for resolving these issues. There is no reliable method of contact with the company to address concerns*errors*issues quickly. Whatever you do get is somewhat unorganized. This needs to be addressed, especially since the CEO is tooting the company's horn about how much money they raised and how much profit they are making. Support your customers and they will support you. They earned less than * stars on Google reviews for the same reasons I listed here.
