Purchased a Salem RV in April [redacted] and used it five times, with the last trip to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Unfortunately, the AC unit stopped working during a stopover, costing around $[redacted]-$[redacted] to get a temporary replacement and accommodations. Houston RV services replaced the unit for a labor cost of $[redacted]. After minimal use due to my wife's surgery, the AC unit failed again. A service rep stated the coil had a leak and that this was a known issue with this model. Contact with Dometic to replace the unit was unsuccessful, resulting in an additional $[redacted] cost. It is disappointing they refused to address a known problem. Consider reaching out to consumer protection agencies regarding this issue.

I recently purchased a replacement door for my Dometic fridge from a company in the UK. Unfortunately, when the order arrived, a part was missing. Despite multiple attempts to contact the supplier, I have only received excuses and reassurances without any resolution. This situation has caused me to cancel a planned holiday in our Caravan, and even after three weeks, the missing part has not been sent. I am hoping for assistance, and potentially having the missing part shipped directly to me, as further communication with the UK supplier has not been successful.

We are experiencing issues with our [redacted] GD Reflections 337RLS 5th Wheel's RM1350 Two Door fridge. Despite the dealer's assurance that it is functioning correctly, it fails to maintain the proper temperature. Even at the recommended setting of #5, it only reaches 33 degrees. The dealer's advice to remove the vents and avoid direct sunlight seems impractical. We have had other Dometic fridges in the past that performed flawlessly, making this particular unit stand out as problematic. Considering the significant cost of over $2,[redacted], we expect the appliance to keep our food cold as intended. We strongly believe that this is a defective unit and seek assistance in getting it replaced promptly.

We purchased a new travel trailer in [redacted] equipped with a Dometic [redacted] toilet. Shortly after, we started experiencing a persistent odor issue. This summer, we discovered there were known problems with this specific toilet model. After removing the toilet last Friday, we encountered a leak from the connection between the bowl and the seat, revealing the source of the odor problem. Upon inspection, the interior was found to be in poor condition, likely causing the smell we've been dealing with since early use. While we previously considered an odor stack issue, it's clear the toilet itself is the culprit. I have contacted Dometic.com with photos and information about the toilet. We have decided not to reinstall this toilet and are looking for a quick solution to winterize our trailer. While the exterior looks new, the interior cleanliness is concerning. I've researched on YouTube and discovered that other Dometic models do not have the same problems as the [redacted]. Any prompt assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated, as we should not have been enduring this issue unknowingly since we got the trailer.

Dear [redacted], I purchased a RM8401 Dometic 3-way fridge for my motorhome three months ago. I recently encountered a problem where the fridge unit caused the mains lead to trip the supply upon plugging it in at a campsite. This resulted in tripping a circuit breaker inside the van when attempting different outlets. Even after switching off all three-pin outlets and resetting the circuit breaker, the issue persisted. When trying to turn on the fridge, it continued to trip the circuit breaker. Additionally, the control panel displayed flashing LEDs indicating "mains failure" and "LED failure" when on mains power and "battery failure" when on battery power, although the gas function worked. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Phill.

I recently had to repair my toilet urgently due to issues with the water valve and flush ball seal. These parts are still under warranty, and I would appreciate reimbursement for them. I was informed that I need to fill out a reimbursement form. I have tried to find the form on the website but have been unsuccessful. Could you please email me the form as an attachment to the email address provided below? Thank you, W. Werkeiser

I am having issues with my Dometic [redacted]-IV- Hydro Flame Furnace equipped with a [redacted] Control Board and a Duo-Therm thermostat [redacted]. The furnace is failing to turn on. Despite having power from the house's 12V source via the on/off switch and the circuit breaker, I am not receiving the 12V signal from the thermostat. The readings on the terminal strip of the thermostat board show varying voltages for different functions. Occasionally, switching the thermostat to furnace mode triggers the A/C instead, and sometimes there is no response at all. The furnace control board's indicator light flashes once. I am unsure if the 12V on the thermostat strip is an input or output and where to locate the input if it is output. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. - Regards, J. Collison

I encountered an issue with my furnace as it wouldn't light up. In my attempt to resolve the problem, I mistakenly removed a black plastic box that I thought was the sail switch. Inside, there are 4 wires - blue, yellow, white, and red. However, upon further inspection, I realized that I actually have 5 wires due to the presence of additional red wires. The yellow wire connects to the grounding connector and then splits to the control board and behind the unit. The blue and white wires both run into the motor and extend behind the unit. There are two red wires - one leading to a 10amp reset and the other connecting to join 2 red wires over the gas valve. I am now left puzzled as there are 5 loose wires but only 4 connectors on the plastic box attached to the motor surface. Could someone provide guidance on how to correctly rewire these connections? I regret not taking a picture for reference. Thank you, Bill
