Store #[redacted] I am concerned about the current state of this store. It has become disorganized and unsanitary, with reports of rodents in the store. The cleanliness is an issue, with spills not being promptly cleaned up and unopened boxes being torn open by customers. The way items are restocked on shelves lacks a systematic approach, and customer service from associates is lacking. The store is cluttered with boxes, making it difficult to shop. The handling of weekly deliveries is overwhelming, and the overall cleanliness of the store has declined significantly. While there have been commendable associates trying to manage the situation, it seems the current management is struggling to maintain the standards set by the previous manager. The lack of leadership in the store is evident, and there is a noticeable decline in the overall operation and customer experience.

Hello, I am Mary Celano, and I represent a Private Foundation dedicated to giving back to the community. In the spirit of Christmas, I would like to propose a new initiative. Instead of the Toys for Tots campaign, I am hoping to collect toiletries, personal hygiene products, shoeboxes, bags, and food items for the homeless and battered women and children in our downtown area. I am considering setting up a vendor booth for $20.00 to sell $1.00 flowers. The proceeds will go towards supporting these efforts. Additionally, I aim to encourage customers to purchase extra items like soap, shampoo, or gloves to include in their Dollar Tree shopping. The goal is to create care packages filled with love for those in need. The Black Ribbon Foundation, which I lead, focuses on reaching out to the lost and lonely in our community. This work is inspired by my faith and a personal calling. Through donations of clothing, blankets, food, and other essentials, we strive to make a difference in the lives of those struggling on the streets. I am requesting a small space outside your premises to engage with customers and raise awareness for our cause. Whether through selling flowers or promoting our mission, I believe we can make a positive impact together. If you are interested in collaborating, please reach out to me at [redacted] or via email at [redacted] Thank you.

Dear Customer Service, I am a regular customer at your store located on Wolf Street in Syracuse, NY. I have noticed a decline in the level of customer service since the store first opened about a year ago. It seems like employees are hired based on personal connections rather than qualifications. There is a lack of professionalism and skills when interacting with customers, which I have observed not only in my own experiences but also in interactions with other patrons. My primary concern stems from the inappropriate language used by some customers in the store, which is not suitable for public places, especially in front of my young daughter. I have attempted to address this issue with both other customers and employees, but it should not be solely my responsibility as a customer. Employees should take initiative to address such behavior, especially since they are present during these situations. However, I have found that my concerns are not taken seriously and I am made to feel like the one at fault. I hope that Dollar Tree can uphold a higher standard of conduct in their stores and address these issues promptly. This is the second time I have brought up this matter, and I hope that it will be resolved. Sincerely, A Concerned Patron

I recently visited the Dollar Tree store in Petaluma, CA, located on North McDowell Street. During my transaction, the cashier's receipt paper ripped. I asked for a reprint, but was told by the manager that I would have to wait until closing time at 9:10 pm. Despite working in retail for many years, I found this unreasonable. I ended up calling customer service, and around 8:30 pm, I was able to get the issue resolved and receive my receipt. The manager's explanation for the delay didn't sit well with me, as it seemed like a simple task to reprint it when the cashier was about to leave. The manager's behavior made me question their work ethics and customer service. The workers involved were named Ashley and Molley. I feel like I was treated unfairly and would appreciate a follow-up on this matter. My contact number is [redacted]. Thank you. - Azalea I.

I would like to share my experience regarding an employee at the dollar store who I found to be rude. During my recent visit, I noticed that she only greeted white customers, but ignored me when I approached the counter. When I politely pointed this out, she and another customer made rude remarks about me behind my back. I confronted them, and the situation escalated quickly with the employee even asking me to leave. The supervisor, Chrissy, intervened, but the confrontation continued outside the store. Another customer even insulted me. This entire ordeal was unacceptable, and I believe action needs to be taken to address this behavior. I am determined to resolve this issue.

Today, on 12/03/[redacted], I visited the Dollar Tree located at [redacted] W Diversey Ave, Chicago, IL [redacted]. I made some seasonal purchases, and later that day around 6:00PM, I returned to the store to exchange a few items. After reading the refund policy, I understood that returns weren't allowed, but there wasn't any mention of exchanges not being permitted as well. When I asked the manager, Rosa, about exchanging items, she stated that exchanges weren't allowed, referencing the receipt. However, upon reviewing the receipt, it only mentioned the policy for returns. Rosa explained that an exchange technically involves a return before purchasing a new item, which I found misleading. I checked with other stores and was informed that exchanging seasonal items with a receipt was possible.

I visited the Dollar Tree on 12/5/18 and witnessed some inappropriate behavior at register two. The manager and two employees were gossiping about the employee on register one in a disrespectful manner. The manager even made derogatory comments and seemed to instigate further negativity. Shortly after, a disheveled man approached the manager with a questionable interaction. As a customer, I felt uncomfortable with the situation and almost left without purchasing my items. I commend the professionalism displayed by the employee on register one despite the disrespect she received. This issue needs to be addressed promptly.

Hello, my name is Darryl, and I'm a customer at Dollar Tree. Last Friday, November 30th, I visited the Dollar Tree located at [redacted] US-1 S, St. Augustine, FL around 6:30 pm. When I asked the cashiers for some change, they informed me they didn't have any. I then asked the manager, Rob, for change, and he rudely refused with an attitude, even going as far as asking me to leave the store and banning me. This made me feel unwelcome and mistreated. Despite this experience, I still enjoy shopping at Dollar Tree and would like to continue doing so. I simply wanted some change and didn't deserve to be treated poorly. Rob's behavior was unacceptable, and I hope this issue can be addressed.

I recently placed an order for over $[redacted] worth of items, but one box of 24 items did not arrive. I was directed by my local Dollar Tree to contact customer service online for a refund without needing proof from the store. Unfortunately, after a 20-minute wait on hold, I was informed that the items were out of stock. These items were crucial for a group home for abused children, and while I only received 24 out of the 48 items I ordered, I was asked for proof for a refund. Despite my efforts to resolve the issue, including being disconnected once and currently being on hold for 25 minutes, I have not been able to speak to anyone yet. I had to leave work early to contact them, as there is no nighttime number, and I am unable to take personal calls at work. I hope Dollar Tree can assist by reaching out to other stores to locate the missing 24 items for the children in need. I have been a loyal customer both online and in-store, but it seems like my concerns are not being taken seriously by Dollar Tree.

I recently left my position as a store manager at Family Dollar and have important feedback regarding operational issues I noticed during my time there. Despite my dedication, the demanding hours of 60 to 70 per week made it impossible to continue. I have seen reports about Dollar Tree aiming to tackle the high turnover rate among managers and I would like to share my insights to help improve the performance of the Family Dollar division. My intention is not to criticize individuals or seek reemployment as I have already moved on to another job. With a successful retail management background dating back to [redacted] with FW Woolworths, I am eager to offer suggestions on enhancing profitability. I am a dedicated Dollar Tree enthusiast and would appreciate an opportunity to provide constructive input. Thank you. Terry Connors

I visited store number 4 on Maricamp Road in Silver Springs Shores, Florida today at 10:00 a.m. The amount of litter around the store is alarming. Trash is scattered behind the store by dumpsters and onto the adjoining property's grass. Cigarette butts are piled up to 3 inches against the wall near the power meters. The parking area is also littered with trash near the plants. This consistent mess is disappointing, and it's essential that immediate action is taken to clean up the area. Your store's negligence in maintaining cleanliness reflects poorly on neighboring businesses. I have taken pictures that I can provide upon request, or I encourage you to see the mess for yourself. Thank you, Mike Rowlands.

I ordered 12 frames online but only received 8 frames. The Dollar Tree store manager, Debra, witnessed the damaged box with the missing frames. Despite initial confusion with the order and multiple emails, the issue persisted. After several attempts to contact customer service and waiting on hold for extended periods, I was informed that the missing frames were not available for reshipment. I requested a refund for the undelivered items and was assured that the money would be returned. Frustrated by the delays and lack of communication, I hope to receive my refund promptly without further inconvenience.

I had a negative experience at Store [redacted] at the First State Plaza in Newport, DE. On December 18, [redacted], around 4 pm, the manager or supervisor working was unprofessional. When I tried to pay with a $50 bill, she scrutinized it by raising it against the light, rubbing it with paper, and then loudly announced she was not comfortable accepting it. I felt embarrassed and discriminated against, as if she suspected me of using counterfeit money. As a loyal customer of many years, I believe the staff should receive better training on customer service and detecting counterfeit money. They should also be equipped with appropriate tools for checking currency.

The Dollar Tree store in Edwardsville, Pennsylvania, has been a disappointment for me. The manager, TJ, lacks professionalism. The store hasn't been properly stocked in about five months, specifically lacking medical products like sleep aids and naproxen that I've been searching for. Every time I inquire about these items, I receive inconsistent responses, sometimes being told they don't carry them. This situation has left me unsatisfied considering I've been a loyal customer for two years. My acquaintances also avoid this location due to similar experiences. I find it preferable to drive six miles to the Dollar Tree in Wyoming rather than visit the nearby Edwardsville store, as the staff there are rude and unhelpful. Manager TJ and associate Ashley made me feel insignificant and disrespected during my interactions. It's crucial that Dollar Tree addresses this issue promptly by hiring competent and courteous employees. I hope to see improvements soon for the benefit of all customers.

Hello, my name is Hollie Payton. I am reaching out to address the issue of missing direct deposits for two consecutive paychecks. Despite submitting the information on time as instructed by my boss, payment was not made via direct deposit. I was informed that the payment would be sent by mail; however, this delay is causing significant financial strain. I am unable to purchase Christmas presents for my children or cover essential expenses such as their doctor's appointment. Urgent attention to this matter is requested. Please contact me promptly to resolve this issue.

During my visit to your store on East Main Street on December 22, [redacted], I encountered a lengthy line at the register. The cashier had to ask for assistance multiple times until the manager, Tontieynna, emerged with her boyfriend from the office. Tontieynna seemed displeased when she was called down. I suggested opening another register, but Tontieynna spoke to me rudely, unlike anything I have experienced in my 30 years in retail. I left $[redacted] worth of items and even had to ask her boyfriend to stop being disrespectful towards me. Shockingly, she threatened to involve the police unless I left. Despite being a loyal customer since the store's opening, I am unwilling to tolerate such treatment. I have never encountered such disrespect before at this location. I prefer a phone call over an email at [redacted]. - K. Kendrick

I had a frustrating experience at a Dollar Tree store in Greenville, TX. My card declined mid-payment, and I needed to resolve the issue. While I stepped away to address it, the cashier called a manager who seemed unsure of the next steps. Despite figuring out my card problem and wanting to use another payment method, the transaction couldn't be voided. Instead, I encountered unhelpful staff who didn't communicate well. Eventually, I paid for a few items with $1.62 needed fixing, but the cashier was exceptionally rude, implying I was causing problems. Dissatisfied with the service, I decided to shop at Walmart across the street for better customer service, even if it meant paying more. Patty V.

The manager currently at the Lovepark IL location, whom the cashier referred to as Bobby Joe, displayed rudeness when I asked about the availability of mesh in the back. She mentioned she was busy stocking returned items and could not assist me. Another employee, after Bobby Joe was out of sight, volunteered to help me and acknowledged that this behavior was typical of her. This negative encounter adds to previous instances with Bobby Joe when she refused an exchange without a receipt and was unhelpful when my daughter wanted cereal. Her demeanor was disappointing, leaving my daughter upset. Despite this, the other staff at the store are helpful and kind. Bobby Joe's consistent rudeness has led me to decide not to shop there while she is on duty. In my own customer service experience, I find it perplexing how someone with such a poor attitude can hold a managerial position.

I want to share an incident I experienced on January 11, [redacted] that left me feeling upset. As I was seeking assistance from an associate, I noticed that two superglue items I had placed on top of my purse had inadvertently moved slightly inside. The store manager, who was unexpectedly present at the time, drew attention to the superglue. Confused by her focus on it, I soon realized it seemed as though the superglue was partially in my purse, which I had not intended. Despite explaining the situation, the manager abruptly took the items from me and asked me to leave, insinuating I was attempting to steal them. This unwarranted accusation left me feeling shocked, upset, and unfairly treated. I would appreciate an apology and urge the store to address this incident with the manager to avoid similar misunderstandings in the future. It's important for staff to handle such situations professionally and respectfully, as wrongful accusations can lead to serious consequences and damage trust between customers and the store.

On January 11, [redacted], I inadvertently had two tubes of superglue on top of my purse, and somehow they ended up partially inside my purse. As I asked an associate for assistance, the manager overheard and abruptly mentioned "Super glue," pointing out the situation. Feeling perplexed, I then noticed the partly concealed superglue on my purse, which I had no intention of taking. Despite my explanation that it was a mistake and my insistence on purchasing it, the manager took the superglue away and asked me to leave, leaving me feeling shocked, upset, and unfairly treated. I seek an apology and hope for the manager to receive feedback on handling such situations with more sensitivity and respect for customers. Accusations without cause can lead to legal consequences and create an unprofessional environment.
