I recently filed a complaint about a vendor on Discogs who mistreated me. I realized you may need to see the email for context, so here it is below: From: Discogs Marketplace Sent: Sunday, May 12, [redacted] 2:58 PM To: [redacted] Subject: New Message - Order #[redacted]-[redacted] - Bolero / Mother Goose Suite ## Reply above this line ## After receiving your feedback, I cancelled your orders due to issues with the collection process. I politely requested you to reorder for smoother processing. However, instead of cooperating, you left unwarranted negative feedback, which is unjustified considering your history of negative feedback. Remove the negative feedback or face consequences from Discogs. Your behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. You can access order details and communicate with the other party using Order #[redacted]-[redacted]. Regards, Discogs I have the email, but unfortunately, I cannot view it on Discogs. This experience has deterred me from shopping on Discogs in the future.

I purchased the album "Born to Laugh at Tornadoes" by Was (Not Was) from Southern Fried Vinyl (also known as SRV), but despite multiple messages requesting expedited shipping, the item has not been shipped. The seller provided a "pre-shipment" tracking number with USPS, but they never actually sent the album. I have learned that some online sellers use pre-shipment tracking numbers as a tactic to delay refunds. I believe they're trying to avoid issuing me a full refund. Delays seem to be part of their strategy to make me give up on seeking a refund. I would be grateful for your assistance in resolving this issue promptly and to my satisfaction. Sincerely, Run L. I would like to share my recent experience with discogs and one of its members. The seller I purchased from was not very responsive to my inquiries. When he did respond, he was brief and not very helpful. After some confusion with PayPal during the ordering process, the seller blamed me for the issue after the item was shipped and essentially washed his hands of the situation. Despite receiving payment, he had no further interest in assisting me. This lack of professionalism has left me hesitant to use discogs in the future, which is unfortunate. I understand that this is not your responsibility but solely the seller's fault. The item I ordered was under number #[redacted]. Thank you. Gerry B. - [redacted] - 5/22/19 at 6:00 AM

A customer named T.K. returned an album to me seeking a refund, but the album was returned with a different inner sleeve. The album I originally sent was in perfect condition, but the one I received back had an old, creased inner sleeve with sticky fingerprints. It appears he swapped the sleeves to slightly upgrade his own album. I have all our conversations on Discogs, and it's clear he was seeking a refund from the start. I requested him to return the original inner sleeve for a refund, but now I am reluctant due to his accusations and actions. The LP in question is Blur's "Parklife" album, and I am displeased with the situation with T.K. and the album condition. I can provide photos of the returned inner sleeve that does not match the one I initially sent. I am unsure how to proceed with this issue and would appreciate guidance on the matter.

I was scammed on Discogs regarding my purchase of the Sick Jacken Stray Bullets CD. The seller canceled the order after receiving payment, claiming the item was no longer in stock. Despite reaching out to Maddie from customer service multiple times through live tickets on GetHuman, my issue remains unresolved. Maddie keeps closing the tickets without addressing the problem, leaving me feeling frustrated and ignored. The seller's excuse about the inventory discrepancy doesn't add up, considering I purchased the CD shortly after it was listed. I am disappointed with the lack of response from Maddie and may have to escalate the matter by calling the [redacted] area code customer service line to lodge a formal complaint about the situation.

I am having issues with the African Diaspora DATABASE submissions being removed without clear reasons. There are pretexts such as being ineligible because they are ripped from a film or labeled as soundtracks. However, other similar soundtracks are in the database. Additionally, individual tracks are deemed not eligible, even though they are educational lessons. This removal process is impacting submissions related to Latin Rite Orthodox and Coptic religions. I have asked for specific rule violations and an appeals process but have not received satisfactory answers. I believe all submissions to the African Diaspora database should be eligible, especially if not for sale. I am seeking clarification on the removal appeals process, specific rule citations for ineligibility, and the restoration of eligible submissions from drafts. I have solutions to make items downloadable without selling them and would appreciate a review of the database rules with provided citations and a clear appeals process. Thank you.

Hello, I placed an order with Radiation Records, order number [redacted]3. After several days had passed, I contacted the seller to inquire about the shipping date of my order. The seller responded with a brief "soon." I then requested a refund due to the delay, to which they rudely replied, accusing me of impatience. Subsequently, I initiated a case with PayPal, and the seller alleged that I hadn't returned the merchandise when nothing had been shipped. I am disappointed by the seller's behavior and lack of professionalism. The order was made on July 26, and the status remains as "payment received." I simply seek a refund for the undelivered items. The seller, The45King1969 on Discog, has a history of similar complaints regarding non-shipments and uncooperative responses. Their conduct is unacceptable, and I believe they should be restricted from selling on the platform.

Subject: Issue with Seller Sammy Criscitello on Discogs Order # [redacted]-63 To the concerned party, I experienced an unfortunate situation with a seller on Discogs, specifically, Sammy Criscitello. Despite many positive transactions, this purchase stood out negatively. I acquired a vinyl LP listed as Near Mint condition, only to find it in a considerably poorer state upon arrival, with evidence of abrasive cleaning causing damage. The item's value was assessed at a mere $2.00, contrary to the listing. The seller, Sammy Criscitello, declined to refund me, offering various excuses. Subsequently, I escalated the matter to PayPal, which resolved in my favor, resulting in a full refund. I then left an honest negative review detailing the events. In response, the seller left an unjustified negative review, accusing me of ill intentions. Curiously, although my negative feedback remains on my profile, the seller's corresponding review seems to have vanished from their page. I urge Discogs to restore my review of the seller or rectify their side of the story on my feedback section. I possess all relevant evidence, including the PayPal resolution, to corroborate my claims if necessary. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, A.F.

Order #[redacted]-[redacted] I need assistance with an order issue stemming from the Discogs iOS app. I added items to my cart but did not proceed to checkout as I was unsure about them. Despite not finalizing the order, I was marked as a non-paying bidder by the seller. I contacted the seller to address the misunderstanding, but they insisted I should not have items in my cart if I wasn't ready to purchase. This situation has led to two main concerns: first, I received non-paying buyer feedback for an incomplete transaction, and second, the seller is uncooperative despite my honesty in clarifying the issue promptly.

My Discogs account, 2ndSpin [redacted], got suspended, and I'm unable to list or process orders. I'm unsure why this happened. I need urgent assistance since this is my sole income source as a disabled person. Despite raising a support request, [redacted], with Discogs, I haven't received a response. I've left numerous messages on the support channel, but with no success. I'm feeling totally frustrated and on the brink of a panic attack. Please assist me in resolving this situation promptly.

Hello, Recently, there have been changes on the "List Item For Sale" page for Sellers that have caused a significant problem. In the past, when trying to list an item for sale, I could easily preview photos of different copies available in the Discogs database to match the item I want to sell. Clicking on the "Preview" link would display images overlaid on the "List Item For Sale" page. After reviewing the images, I could simply click the "X" button in the top right corner to return to the listing page, with the selected item highlighted by the cursor. Now, there is a new page with larger images that require scrolling down to view. Unfortunately, returning to the listing page involves using the browser's back arrow, causing the selected item not to be highlighted anymore. This change makes it challenging to quickly preview and list items, especially when dealing with numerous available pressings without clear numerical identifiers. I urge for an improvement or correction to this issue for a smoother listing process. Thank you.

I'm having trouble logging into Discogs after creating a password. Every time I try to log in or reset my password, it says my username is incorrect or doesn't recognize my new password. I can only log in using Facebook or Google. Could there be restrictions on the types of characters allowed in the password? Can you provide information on any restrictions that may exist? Thank you, David H.

Order #[redacted]-[redacted] I received a negative feedback from the seller after I gave one due to a severely misrepresented record. The item was described as NM but had multiple skips and defects. The seller was untruthful when I raised the issue, leading me to open a PayPal case for a refund, which was ruled in my favor after a month of back and forth. I left negative feedback to alert others to my ordeal, as it was the worst record transaction I've encountered, tarnishing Discogs' reputation. I believe buyers should be judged solely on prompt payment, which I always practice. I request the removal of the retaliatory feedback from the seller. Thank you, O.R.Pollard

Dear Spett.le Company, We would like to inquire about your policies. Do you engage with record producers before featuring their music on your platform? We intended to upload our CDs but noticed that one of our productions is already listed without our input. Could we discuss this matter for clarification? We look forward to your response. I sold a record 30 days ago on Discogs. The buyer paid via PayPal, so I shipped the parcel. However, after 2 weeks, the buyer initiated a chargeback claiming they didn't authorize the transaction, and PayPal informed me they are unable to assist further. I have been trying to contact the buyer, but have not received any response. I am concerned about the funds for the sale or getting my record back. I have all the necessary documentation for the transaction and shipping and can provide it if needed. Thank you.

I made a purchase a week ago, but the seller hasn't shipped my item yet. If I don't receive a response soon, I will request to cancel the order and get a refund. Unfortunately, this seems to be happening frequently on Discogs. If I don't hear back from the seller, I fear I might have been scammed once again. It's disheartening that this is a recurring issue on the platform. I hope there are measures in place to address sellers who don't fulfill their obligations, especially since they pay to use the site. It feels like the focus is more on sellers rather than buyers, which can be frustrating.

I would like to address an issue regarding a feedback review for the transaction related to my seller invoice number [redacted]. I am unable to adequately defend myself within the limited character space provided. I suspect the buyer of attempting a fraudulent complaint to obtain a refund or a better item at my expense. The buyer falsely claimed to have received a water-damaged record, which is untrue. I personally inspect all my items, and this record was in pristine condition when it left my custody. Despite the buyer's claim, the package showed no signs of damage, as it was uninsured. The buyer only contacted me once and did not pursue the matter further after I contested the accusation. This situation seems like an attempt to extort me, as the buyer requested a refund without offering to return the item. I believe this is a case of feedback manipulation aimed at damaging my reputation unjustly. I have encountered similar situations before, where I promptly addressed any issues with the items sold. I refuse to succumb to unwarranted demands and stand by the integrity of my transactions.

I purchased an Elvis Presley album (Elvis Presley, RCA-Victor BKL-60) from a dealer in Brazil for $[redacted].00 a few days ago. I have not received a confirmation of my payment being received. The last update said funds were pending. The dealer has not responded to my inquiries about shipping the LP to my home. I placed the order on December 18th at 3:08 A.M. (P.S.T.). Could you please look into this promptly? Thank you, and Merry Christmas - G.W. (Email: J************[redacted])

Hello, my name is Carsten Wegener. I have numerous released albums and when I attempted to create a profile recently, I was informed that a profile already exists for me. Strangely, it contains a profile picture of me and a list of albums I did not contribute to. Most concerning is that the description states I passed away last year. I have tried unsuccessfully to rectify this error. I am eager to establish my own profile but it seems unachievable currently. It appears there may be another musician named Carsten Wegener who reportedly passed away, causing confusion. This situation needs to be corrected promptly. I have received concerned calls from friends who came across the incorrect profile. At the very least, the photo associated with the deceased musician must be replaced. I kindly request your prompt assistance. Thank you. Best regards, Carsten Wegener

Good morning, I am calling regarding my two discogs accounts. There seems to be confusion as there is a closed Bank of America credit card attached to one of my accounts that I cannot remove. This card has not been in use for a long time. I have tried uploading my photo ID and bank card, but I am still unable to place orders. This issue is affecting my business with Nicoscia Consultation. My name is Joaquin H. and I have used two different email addresses for my discogs accounts. Please advise on how to resolve this situation as it is causing inconvenience. Thank you for your assistance.
