You'd think I was trying to purchase a few nuclear reactors from N. Korea. But I just wanted a couple of backpacks on a one day sale. (In stock at my local Office Depot..I wanted to order on line and pick up in the store) ... I tried to purchase * items today from Office Depot.com About an hour after placing my order I received an email saying there was a problem with my transaction and my bank (DE) would not complete the purchase. This is * days after a direct deposit was made and there is plenty of money available. **The items I was buying were to be picked up unit local store...the one that would correspond to the geographic area of my card's billing address. (I've already been apesh*t on DE's determination that disabled people cannot and do not ever travel to other states so they just decline away when you arrive on vacation somewhere). **What fries my oil totally is the big banner on DE that claims ** hour customer service. However after hours of...high call volume alerts and Thanks, please call again later. Click. I am ready to scream. **The local office Depot is hardly a business on the dark web but these morons seem to have a wheel of chance that is spun and determines what online purchases are a piece of cake and which ones will put you through ****.
They cannot help but realize they are defrauding millions of disabled Americans when we are (falsely) sold on concepts of: Access your account hassle free with a Debit MasterCard with ** hour customer service (it's a banner on the homepage!) and the ability to make purchases anywhere MasterCard is accepted. (Total Bull***t). They apparently don't realize or don't care that battling cancer might just be challenging enough and that maybe it isn't an unrealistic expectation to run your business (a monopolistic arrangement to begin with as I have no choice of providers contracted to the Federal Government other than DE or USDirect cell into a banking institution...with possible time delays getting your funds.
Conduct your business as advertised and provide ** customer service and pay local, regional and in country transactions when I can provide my account number expiration date, cvv security code, name on the card, billing address, and friggin telephone number.
I've put up with their cr-p for nine years when I first received my cancer diagnosis and I've dealt with the numerous recurring issues nicely and politely.
I just keep calling only to hear we are too busy to give a rat's a$$ about any of you so call later.
