The issue in GetHuman-djbarker's own words
I was recently in a swing-bed recovery & rehabilitation ward, at Glenn Medical Center. Located in Willows, CA. I was recovering from a list of ailments, including early stages of renal failure, dehydration, hyperglycemia, not to mention aggravation of my reconstrutted lower lumbar region. All brought on by my eviction from my home, in which I had next to no help moving heavy furniture, and boxes of my belongings. The social service lady at the hospital worked very hard to find me a safe place to be released to, considering that I live in Chico, CA. Which is in the vally, a ** minute drive below Paradise,CA. Which is the main town that was recently burned to the ground along with other communities, by the CAMP FIRE. This caused a sudden influx of tens of thousands of people needing shelter. She found a Board & Care home in Sacramento, which I basically had no choice, but to except. The hospital payed for a taxi for me to be transported the ** minute drive to the home. There is was met by Sonya, the woman that works for the placement business who the hospital social service lady had set everything up with. I arrived in shorts, a pair of socks & shoes. I was informed that I would get three meals a day, houting and basic personal hygiene products. Also since I Han no other cloths or a towel, Sonya would pick something up for me. Since I had no idea that I wouldn't be going with my friend on a couple of hours from the ER in Chico. Where I had her drop me off for medical attention. I didn't bother to take my wallet or extra cloths. Canceled my card & had a new one mailed to my mom's house. Then when I found out about going to Sacramento, she forwarded it to me in Willows. So when I arrived in Sacramento, Sonya informed me that she needed to be paid, so she took me down to the nearest Walmart so I could give her payment for a months rent, get a money order for my storage unit, and I left the extra $** or so on the card for me. We were driven to the store by Jasmine, the care homes director. She asked if she could see what kind of card I had. I wasn't really thinking so I handed it to her. When we got back to the house, I asked for my card back. They said that since I was unlike any of the other clients, because I don't need a payee. They would feel more comfortable holding on to my card so that in a month I wouldn't be able to just take off without paying for rent if I decided to stay, & for my prescription co-pays. Which they covered. It sounded fair to me since I could request to get a ride to a store or whatever and I would be able to use the remaining balance. Besides I never gave them my pin. I decided that I wanted to go ahead and return to Chico. I first informed Sonya, then Jasmine of my intentions to leave. And I needed a ride to Walmart to pay for my co-pays owed to the placement people. Plus any other red expenses I may owe, like * days prorated rent. But I needed to get my card back afterwards to pay for my living expenses this month. I had a ride on the way, and a friend's motor home lined up for rent in chico. I checked the balance again on the app and sat patiently waiting for my ride. After a couple of hours I started to get antsy, because I knew my ride to Chico was imminent. Being careful and a little paranoid, I checked on my balance again. I thought I was gonna throw up when it said my balance of $*** about ** minutes earlier was now $**.**. I never gave any sort of permission to anu body to take so much as **cents out if my account. Especially without my knowledge or permission. I have never verbally, or written*signed permission to another human being. And most definitely haven't given out my pin *. So I sit here with $*.** to my name. I've been calling every day several times a day since the second I saw my balance. That's before noon on *******. I'm hungry, without meds, identification. Please help ASAP. My * is ***-***-****.
