Inquire and resolve a negative balance error on my prepaid Direct Express debit card. ... I have reported disputes going back to **** that have never been resolved. Most disputes have never gone past bring about to report my card lost or stolen due to the system hanging up on me with the message that there is a high volume of calls try again later. Now I find that my social security prepaid debit card from direct express is $***.** in the negative. When trying to discuss with CR I was told it was my fault. When I started questioning her she became hostile and argumentive. I have had thousands of dollars missing from my account since **** until current date ******. I would like an investigation into my account and have the money that has been stolen via the internet and*or direct use with the stolen card to be returned to me. My name and address.. I was told in a rude and judgemental way it was my responsibility to keep track of my money. I felt like I was being told that checking the balance on my card prior to using it was not good enough to be considered a financially responsible adult.
This could be resolved by identifying me, the customer, as a priority with regard to the security of my financial state. I would like to have this negative balance reversed and my financial state to be whole again. I would also like to see Direct Express assure me that being their customer is important and prior disputes will be investigated and resolved.
I have been a customer since ****. I have always reported any incident with my debit card right away. And have chose to remain a customer in even though many of the incidents reported were never resolved.
I have tried contacting the bank connected to my debit card for assistance with the issue being unable to get to the next stage after reporting a lost*stolen card. They were able to transfer my call directly to a live person, however upon completing the steps necessary for fund recovery i never received any more communication from Direct Express regarding my dispute. And did not receive a credit to financial well being.
