I need some assistance. Apparently, I experienced a power surge on my $****.** * year old TV. I found this to be unusual because I have all my components set up on a Panamax power protector which is the best surge protector in the industry. The TV was opened and repaired by a certified electronic certified technician to determine the cause and make the necessary repair. Through his analysis, he determined that the surge entered the TV through the HDMI port of the TV. Additionally, it is his opinion that the surge happened because the main Direct TV dish is not properly grounded. Since Direct TV does not want the boxes to go through the Panamax surge units, I need to schedule a call to have someone come and review the grounding of the Direct TV system.
