I received a call from a representative on ******** offering “FREE “ HBO and SHOWTIME. I asked several times if it was really FREE* because If it was not I DID NOT WANT IT. The representative assured me that the service was free and I would not be charged. Well, when I received my bill for December, there was a $**.** charge for HBO and SHOWTIME. I was VERY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED IN THE WAY THAT I WAS DECEIVED. I called to discuss the matter. I wanted the services removed, and I wanted the charges to be removed as well. I did not want to be charged for services that were promised as a FREE PROMOTION. I called to discuss the matter.*The first person I spoke with would not hear my argument, that I was called by someone from the Co., and offered free HBO AND SHOWTIME service. FIRST, I was told by her, that “I” ordered the services. I told her I did not* I never called in to have those services added, and I wanted the charges removed from my bill. Secondly it was, I have free HBO and Showtime, and I was going to be charged for SHOWTIME after * months. We went back and forth about the issue. My question to her was, how can I be charged $**.** for a free service that was offered to me* and, If it was for * months, why am I being charged less than a month later? She asked if I wanted the services removed. My reply was yes, and I want the charges removed from my bill. She said the best she could do was take off the HBO . The Showtime was prorated for the month. This won’t suffice, why am I charged for a free service? Ma’am I would like to speak to someone else. I want to speak to a supervisor or manager. Her reply was, “they are going to tell you the same thing I am telling you”.*I was disconnected serveral times and overall spent over an hour on the phone with Hector. He seen where there was a call placed on the **th of November to me. After telling him my story, he promised as a one time courtesy to credit my account for the charges. He promised the credit would show up **-** hours in my account. The call took place on a Wednesday today is Sunday and the charges have not been removed from my account.*I don’t understand why this is a problem. Who ever called me to offer the free service, and applied the service without consent or authorization has clearly Violated me and my account.! I would like to have this matter investigated.
