I recently decided to switch from Dish Network to Direct TV. I subscribed to Direct TV (Account * *********) and my installation was scheduled for Friday, October ** (please, see below your confirmation e-mail).**Your technician was to start between *:** am and **:** pm. I took a day off work based on this schedule. Your notice states that the installation may last up to * hours.**Your technician did not show up. At **:** am I called your customer service and talked to Alex, who told me that he could see no record for my scheduled installation. After I insisted, mentioning that you had confirmed the installation schedule by e-mail, Alex got in touch with your dispatcher, who simply stated that you did not have a technician available on that day, so my installation service had been cancelled.**Not even a courtesy call to let me know it. I found out about your cancelled installation just because I decided to call your customer service. I mentioned to Alex that I had taken a day off work for the installation, but Alex confirmed that nobody was available to come my home. The installation is now scheduled for Saturday, October **.**My phone conversation with Alex lasted from **:** am to **:** pm, one full hour! Your system being slow and Alex' problems in contacting your dispatcher made it a one hour call.**I am still wondering why I have not cancelled my Direct TV subscription (before even installing it!) after experiencing such a poor customer service. This is certainly a matter for consumer protection agencies not to mention social media reviews to warn other consumers: you made me lose a full working day due your messy installation management, you did not even advised me that you had cancelled my installation nor were you able to fix it upon my call.**Congratulations on a job very poorly done!**Best regards,**Giacomo Mayer****** E.
