I sent a parcel from Japan to Germany but it was sent back without any explanation. The addressee didn't receive any contact from the local post office, the packing and all documents (including customs declaration, invoice) were intact, indicating that there was no problem in customs clearance, and they sent back the parcel in a very short time (didn't retain for two weeks as they must do). They must have made a mistake, and I made the Japan Post send an inquiry to Deutsche Post, but no answer till now. I want Japan Post to refund the freight I paid, but they cannot without the answer from Deutsche Post. DEUTSCHE POST MUST ANSWER TO THE INQUIRY FROM JAPAN POST !
This must be the result of some simple mistake, but they are not answering to the official inquiry from Japan Post because they don't want to admit their fault.
I require Deutsche Post to answer immediately to the official inquiry from Japan Post, and enable them to refund me the money I lost.
This is the first time I sent a parcel to Germany. I have experience in sending to many other countries, but this is the first case the parcel was returned without any reason. I didn't expect such trouble with Germany, which is considered as one of the most "advanced" countries in the world.
When I called by phone to Deutshce Post (when status of the parcel was not clear), the staff answered that "the package had a damage and causing delay, but it'll be delivered to the addressee within few days". The addressee also called Deutsche Post on the same day, but another staff answered a completely different story: "It was sent back" and when she asked the reason, they said "cannot tell you, the sender will know when receive it". Both staff of Deutsche Post were lying: the package had not any damage when it arrived back, and there was no any paper explaining the reason why it was sent back.
