It is with deep regret I have to reach out to you personally, but I have exhausted all other avenues. I reached out to Delta Customer Services *-***-***-****. I was redirected to call *-***-***-****. I spoke to Mr. Rico,his opinion was I should be compensated, however, he then transfered me to Ms. Anna and I repeated all information to her and she redirected me to *-***-***-****. I spoke with Ms. Stacy, all of these communications were in reference to compensation for my expenses for Hotel accommodations. She looked up my daughter's flight delays, cancellation and new ticket information to arrive from Bermuda to JFK airport, New York. My daughters original flight from her study abroad was to leave BDA at *:** PM and arrive at JFK airport at *:** PM. I had already left from my home in Delaware as it is a *-* hour drive to JFK airport. Her new flight arraignments put her on a flight around *:pm, then a delay of * hours and arrive at JFK airport, New York at **:** PM. Ms. Stacy stated it was my choice to get hotel accommodations and I would not be compensated. My daughter was told at the BDA airport to have me make arrangements for a hotel and contact Delta as they will compensate for the hotel room due to the circumstances beyond her control, there was no voucher given. I am asking for compensation of $*** for expenses I had to pay for a hotel : Delta Airlines Policy**If not due to weather, Delta will issue a complimentary voucher for a one night hotel stay and public transportation to hotel, if a contracted hotel is available. If a contracted hotel is not available, Delta will refund hotel expenses up to $*** per night. **I am on Chemotherapy medication which causes many side affects and I would not have been able to drive myself and my daughter home safely at *:** a.m.after such a long wait in New York and the late hour she was arriving. I paid $***.** for a hotel room, but as your policy states, I am entitled to a total of $*** dollars. Ms. Stacy stated her original flight ticket was * ************* and her new flight ticket * *************. I will also provide snap shots of my daughters tickets in the attachment.
