My flight from Pittsburgh to NY JFK was delayed, causing me to miss my connection. I was rebooked for the next day. At check-in, they only printed my first boarding pass, so I had to get a new one at JFK. When I arrived in Edinburgh on flight DL208 on May 30, [redacted], my baggage was missing. I reported it at the baggage desk but didn't receive the promised identification code via text. I have tried contacting the airport multiple times without success. I can't use the Delta online form because I lack the lost luggage identification number. I am stressed, upset, and frustrated, unsure if my luggage will be returned.

Subject: Assistance Needed for Damaged Luggage - Flight DL258 Hello, I am reaching out regarding my son's recent flight from Boston to Amsterdam on May 31, [redacted], on flight DL258. His name is Trevor Léglise and his journey has encountered some issues. Upon arrival in Amsterdam on June 1st, he found that the handle of his luggage was broken, presumably during handling. This was his first solo trip at the age of 18, and unfortunately, due to a delay in his Boston flight, he missed his connecting flight to Brussels, where we reside. He had to navigate a solution to return home by himself, which caused him quite a bit of stress. Is there anything that can be done to assist him with the damaged luggage? We have a photo of the issue for reference. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Frank L. +32 [redacted] 29 12 02 Email: [redacted]

I received a positive Covid result at London Heathrow on June 1 at 8:30 AM, a day prior to my scheduled June 2 flight. Regent Cruise line and my travel agent are unaware of my situation. My reservation number is GRR4W2. I am unable to contact anyone at Delta to inquire about their return to US policy. The medical doctor at my current location, Medical & Rescue, has advised me to wait 10 days, after which he will provide me with a Certificate of Recovery for Covid, enabling me to potentially fly on Delta #21 on June 10. I am unsure if testing negative before June 10 would allow me to fly sooner than the 10-day quarantine. I have been unsuccessful in reaching the London office of Delta for assistance. I wonder if having a Doctor's fit to fly or Certificate of Recovery will permit me to fly on June 10. I am asymptomatic and feeling well at the moment. Additionally, I am curious about Delta's specific return to US policy for fully vaccinated and boosted US citizens. My Delta mileage number is [redacted].

I have experienced a series of inconveniences during my recent trip booked with Delta from BOS to NCE. Despite paying extra for a preferred seat, I faced flight delays, rerouting, and baggage issues resulting in me missing events at the Cannes film festival. The separation of my baggage added to the stress. As a loyal Skymiles member and Delta Platinum Amex cardholder, I am seeking compensation for the flight delay, baggage delay, additional seat fee, clothing purchases, missed events, and incurred phone charges. My booking number is GDRR8K. I look forward to resolving these matters with Delta promptly.

I need assistance. I am a U.S. Citizen currently in Peru without internet access. Yesterday, I attempted to modify my return flight from here but accidentally canceled it. I am unable to call the [redacted] number as it's not working. My original return flight to Atlanta, GA, was scheduled for June 30th. The reservation number is HA9GBY, SkyMiles number [redacted], and E-ticket number [redacted][redacted]. I intended to change the return date to around September 28th or 30th. A cat disrupted my attempt, causing the cancellation. I seek your help to rectify this costly mistake as I wanted to extend my first-class trip, not cancel it. I am unreachable by phone and will be here for another 45 minutes. My name is Anna Z., and you can find the rest of the details in the canceled ticket. Please assist in booking a flight from Iquitos, Peru, to Atlanta, GA, around September 28th–30th. I eagerly await your prompt response. Thank you, A.Z.

Due to contracting COVID-19, I was unable to fly on the tickets I purchased. Delta advised me to reach out to you regarding COVID-19 policies. Unfortunately, the travel agent stated they were unable to assist with my tickets. My neighbor recommended I contact you for support in renewing the tickets for my trip to Minneapolis on 6/29/[redacted]. The booking number with Cheapoair is [redacted]. The flight is from Phoenix, AZ to Minneapolis, MN. Being 71 years old and living on limited retirement funds, any help restoring these tickets would be greatly appreciated. Michael Rodriguez is my caregiver who accompanies me. I hope you can assist with this matter. Please reach out to me at [redacted] or email [redacted] Thank you for your attention to this, Gary Odle.

I urgently require assistance. Upon arrival at Edinburgh Airport on June 7 on Delta flight DL0208 from JFK to Edinburgh, my suitcase did not make it onto the plane. According to Delta, it was sent on the next flight and delivered to carousel 8 on June 8. Swissport handles baggage, but they seem to be understaffed. After filling out a form and receiving a callback number, I have been unable to reach them despite multiple efforts. I revisited the airport on June 14 but still did not locate my suitcase at the designated place. The reference number for my luggage is EDIDL [redacted]. It seems like there was a mix-up by Delta, causing this issue. I am reaching out in hopes of finding out if my suitcase has been transferred for delivery. Your help is greatly appreciated as my medication and essential items are inside. Thank you. Marion C. White.

Good morning, I updated my flight details with a Delta representative, but the ticket number was not attached to my reservation. Consequently, when I arrived at the airport, I was unable to board as there was no ticket number listed. Even though I received an email with the flight information, confirmation, and checked-in seats, the missing ticket number led to me missing my flight. Despite seeking help at Bologna airport, I was informed to reschedule for the following day through Delta, incurring an additional $[redacted] cost along with an extra day's expenses and lost work time. Both the Bologna KML/Delta ticket agent and the Delta Canada representative confirmed that the oversight was on the part of the person who updated my flight, not mine. They advised me to contact Delta for a refund to recoup the expenses and lost wages. I am seeking guidance on the refund process. Thank you, J. Wilson

Our first-class family flight for four with Delta from San Antonio to Rome via JFK encountered multiple issues, resulting in us being rebooked on a different flight. On our return journey from Milan to JFK, I faced a ticketing problem and had to purchase a new first-class ticket to ensure I could fly with my family on June 19 as originally planned. Despite assurance from Delta over the phone, the situation was not resolved, and I had to incur a significant cost. I am seeking a refund for the additional ticket purchased. Our baggage was also delayed for four days, causing inconvenience upon our arrival in Rome. Furthermore, our stay in Atlanta overnight on June 19 was unexpected due to flight changes. As of June 22, we are still awaiting the arrival of our lost luggage.

On April 8th, I flew from LHR to SLC via SFO. Unfortunately, the flight departing from LHR was delayed by 2 hours, causing me to miss my connection to SLC from SFO. Delta provided me with a voucher for a hotel stay in SFO overnight and I caught a flight the next morning to SLC. However, I encountered an issue when the hotel in SFO charged my credit card £[redacted] despite me showing them the voucher that should have covered the cost. I reached out to Delta and received a response from Air France on April 14th (reference number C-[redacted]) indicating the matter would be addressed. When I tried to check the status of my claim online with this reference, it could not be found. This situation has caused me significant stress, and the amount charged is not insignificant to me. I would appreciate it if someone could investigate this matter. Thank you. Jacqueline H.

I encountered two concerns recently. Firstly, on June 22, [redacted], I traveled from Boston to Orlando on flight DAL1555, occupying seat 12D. The journey was pleasant overall. However, upon reaching Logan Airport, I paid $30 for baggage check. Subsequently, I received a text from Delta Airlines offering complimentary bag check, creating a situation where I paid unnecessarily. A Delta agent at Gate 14 suggested requesting a refund for the $30 fee. The second matter is the loss of my Sky Miles card. Despite numerous requests over the years, I have not received a replacement card. This issue hampers my ability to earn or redeem points without the card or account number. If a new card with existing points is not sent by August 1, [redacted], I may be compelled to switch to another airline's frequent flyer program, ending my loyalty to Delta. Kindly address this promptly. New email for correspondence: [redacted]

Hello, I traveled with your company on April 17th from Atlanta to Cancun. My tickets were booked through Air France (Paris-Atlanta Air France flight and Atlanta-Cancun Delta Airlines). The flight number from Atlanta to Cancun was AF2848 booked under the names R. Chrit (ticket [redacted][redacted]) and A. Chrit (ticket [redacted][redacted]). Upon our arrival in Cancun, our luggage was left at the Atlanta airport and we only retrieved them the following day in very poor condition. To be eligible for compensation from my insurance, I would require the delayed baggage delivery receipt indicating the time and date of their return (a document we did not receive at the Cancun airport) and the baggage delivery confirmation from the carrier. Best regards, A. Chrit

I am a Silver Medallion/Elite Member with Delta, and my journey to Barcelona was rerouted to Nice, France due to delays. Unfortunately, my four pieces of luggage did not arrive. One piece is in Barcelona under last name Stone, while the other three are on their way to Nice, where I'm currently staying at 17 Blvd de Provence, Gassin, FR [redacted]. I urgently need these items as I'm departing for Barcelona on June 28. The bag numbers and last names are as follows: - [redacted] (STONE) - [redacted] (GARZIA) - [redacted] (GARZIA) I have been unable to reach Delta's office in France, and I'm desperate for my belongings and medication during our honeymoon. As a frequent Delta flyer, I have always been satisfied with the service. However, my recent experience on flight #[redacted] on June 14th was disappointing. I had purchased Delta Comfort+ window seats for my wife and myself over two months in advance, but the day before our flight, we were moved to middle seats in the main cabin without any explanation or compensation for the downgrade. Additionally, the baggage fees we were charged did not align with the information provided on Delta’s website regarding benefits for Sky Club members and Delta/American Express Platinum cardholders. We were billed $[redacted] for our second checked bags, one of which was slightly overweight, despite believing they should have been free based on the website's Baggage Calculator. It seems there may be an issue with the accuracy of the calculator that needs correction. DJ Ritchie

During my journey from Sacramento, CA with a layover in Atlanta, GA, heading to Mexico City, Mexico, I had to check in my baggage containing a 34" Ultra-wide monitor I use for work. I made sure to request that it be labeled as "Fragile" which was properly done in Sacramento. However, it appears that my monitor was mishandled during the trip as there are scuff marks and a sizable crack on the screen now. I am seeking resolution by requesting reimbursement from either Delta Airlines or AeroMexico for the purchase of a new monitor. This monitor was bought less than a month ago, and I can provide all necessary receipts as proof.

Upon returning from Delhi to Chicago via Amsterdam and Boston on June 24th, my daughter and I encountered an issue with our checked bags. Although we retrieved them in Boston, upon rechecking the bags, they failed to arrive in Chicago at ORD. The bags contain essential medications. Despite multiple calls to the customer service center and enduring lengthy wait times, we have yet to receive a satisfactory response. Due to the inconvenience and lack of access to our medication, we are considering seeking legal advice for the neglect and inaction. Additionally, we plan to escalate this matter to the Department of Transportation and our local Congressman. Below is the relevant information for your attention: Passengers: - Sukanya R. - Shreya B. Hello, I recently traveled from Salt Lake City to Heathrow on June 20th. Unfortunately, upon landing in London on the 21st, my suitcase was missing. I was informed that it was sent to Atlanta, Georgia instead. My original flight was DL50, and my name is Mrs. Helen Anne Barnett. I had a connecting flight from Salt Lake City to Seattle, then on to Heathrow London (VS1910, then VS4037), but the Seattle flight was changed. The Delta agent assured me that my bag would be removed from the Seattle flight. It is crucial that I locate my suitcase because it contains sentimental items including a death certificate and medication. The case barcode number is [redacted], and my booking reference number is GAL99K. I was initially told it would be delivered to me by June 22nd. Any assistance in finding my bag would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Helen Barnett.

I traveled on 06/29/[redacted] from San Diego to New York and then to Tel Aviv. During my layover in New York, I encountered seat assignment issues but was eventually given a seat. Unfortunately, my luggage did not arrive on time in Tel Aviv. After making a claim at the airport, I was informed that my luggage was in Boston and would be delivered on Sunday. When the luggage arrived, one belonged to Air Canada, not mine. My missing luggage contains my belongings and I have been without a change of clothes since Thursday night. I am unsure of its whereabouts and need reimbursement to buy new clothes. Please assist me promptly. Best, Ilana G. Email: [redacted] Tel: [redacted]

Hello, I'm Cathryn Girdner. I had a flight with Delta Airlines on July 6 at 09:50 from Boise, Idaho to Mactan International Airport, Philippines. The check-in staff at Boise mistakenly tagged my luggage with the wrong information, causing it not to reach my final destination. The claim tag number provided to me is #[redacted], but the name on the tag reads Frickie/Russellallen with the destination Fairbanks. I have already reported my lost luggage at Mactan International Airport and am seeking assistance to rectify this situation and retrieve my luggage. You can contact me via email at [redacted] or reach me at [redacted]5 in the Philippines.
